According to the webmaster of another site that I frequent, the Dynamite Kid was involved in a bad accident and had to have one of his legs partially removed.

You recover from the injuries, heal as best you can, and learn to deal with what you're left with. Now do us all a favor and go somwhere and recover from being an ass.
