Putting Hardy in a Ladder match is a good move.

The price is a tough thing to decide. You cant price yourself too low because then you risk losing revenues and you make yourself look second rate. And even with the $30 price tag they can still advertise themselves being cheaper than a WWE show.

But whether its $20, 30 or $50 I dont think it will have a huge impact on how many people order the show.

I think TNA needs to do something completely unexpected at the PPV (leaves door open to Jarrett jokes and such). Stop announcing everyone they sign, but do some more to make people feel that they are getting $30 worth of show.

Also, let Shark Boy win the gauntlet

:nono: Luger, Sting, Hogan, Hall, Nash, Waltman, DDP... TNA is never going to amount to anything as long as they continue to believe that bringing in these dinosaurs of the business is going to be their big moneymaker. And I'm sure not going to drop 30 bucks on a PPV to see the same guys I was seeing ten years ago, when they were closer to their actual prime.

I can deal with these older guys coming in provided they are used to either manage, put people over or simply help promote the company.

Its when you start seeing Scott Hall going over AJ Styles that you realise that you are doing something wrong.

$30....I dont think I will be getting this. Probably wait untill someone posts it on the net and then download it. It just seems steep to pay for WWE and then get this one. I guess I will have to wait and figure out what I decide.

In 1996 I'm sure there were a lot of people who laughed at the idea of Hogan (who most people had seen 10 years prior) at the centre of the rebirth of pro wrestling as a popular entity. But there he was.

People wont pay for a PPV with guys they've never heard of. Even AJ Styles who is a major star to people that post here, but you need to get some perspective. Ask 10 non wrestling fans if they could pick AJ Styles out of a police line-up, I would be extremely shocked if even one of them could. Then ask the same ten people to pick out Hulk Hogan and I'd lay allt he money in the world on the line that more people would pick Hogan.

So you need those guys to sell a PPV, especially one where few people even know the promotion exists.

As far as announcing it beforehand, well thats the only logical thing to do. Its pointless to bring major stars in as a suprise, thats just throwing money away. People will argue that fans will come back because of the unexpected, but that can only last so long. Then people will say "hey there was no big surprise, this sucks". At least when you advertise "Hall and Nash" the people can make a decision and order if those guys interest them. Now if you were to say bring in a lower tier guy like X-Pac as a suprise, okay thats fine. But major stars, no, never, its dumb.

yea, CyNick is right about the old guys.

I have a problem with the $30 thought. It's to high IMO. When people see that it's $5 less then a WWE PPV, they are going to go. "Well, I see that it's a little cheaper, but WWE is a much better product to spend my money on. I think I'll just see Survivor Series instead." It's like when you go to a store and you see two DVD Players or whatever. One is a little cheaper then the other and is from a company you know very litle about. But the other one has much better features and you've also had and enjoyed a DVD player from the same company before. And let's say there's only a $10 difference with the Players

Which one you going to buy?

They're up against Survivor Series, one of the biggest WWE PPV's of the year. It's not hard for a fan to go screw TNA.

The ppv looks great

Hardy vs.Jarrett in a ladder match. People thought the Taker vs.Hardy ladder match was gonna to suck two years ago and it did'nt. Hardy is still the same wrestler. Jarrett is more athletic now than Taker was two years ago. This match is going to surprise people.

20 Man Gauntlet for the X Division, the last one went for 30 minutes and was a great match. I expect this one to be the same because this ppv is longer and have enough time to let these guys perform. This match includes Alex Shelley(no longer Baby Bear, his character is more like his ROH persona),Sabin,Red,Kazarian,Michael Shane(HBK cousin),Batts(Kidman cousin),Jerrelle Clark(Mr.630,best move in the business) and more.

Styles vs.Petey, this match is for the smarks TNA gives Styles anything he want. Don't be surprise if this one go long too. I'm predicting a classic match. You heard it first from me.

Raven vs.Abyss vs.Brown, All three are good wrestlers. It good too see Raven is still in the main event picture.

Tag team title match not yet announce but RUMOR to be in a cage, every cage match in TNA history is either great or very good. I hope it's a 6 corners elimination match. Team Canada vs. XXX vs.Naturals vs.AMW vs.3LK and add another team.

Outsiders(they not wrestling and only sign short term deals)
Piper Pit with a surprise guest.

It suppose to be a Kid Kash/Dallas vs.Rhodes/Killings match but I don't know yet.

No Luger,Waltman,Sting,Hogan. DDP is suppose to come for the next ppv but nothing big. DDP vs.Raven match is the only match I want too see from DDP.

The good thing is that TNA is using all their good talent. Everybody will be busy for the ppv. THis is the first ppv I really want too see since Mania.

This ppv is worth it because you are guaranteed good and long matches except the heavyweights(Jarrett,Hardy,Raven,Brown and Abyss).

I can't wait, this ppv is going to kick ass.

I mean I would never buy a TNA PPV, but I would never buy a WWE PPV, except for Mania, so I'm not one to judge people who buy wrestling PPVs.

Its going to be an uphill battle for them to get more than their hardcore fan base to tune in. I bet they know that, and are just trying to milk their fans out of more money. I mean you have to think they will get the people who were buying the weekly shows, so if you can squeeze $30 from those guys instead of $25, why not do it?

But I agree it will be a tough sell going against any WWE show, including SurvSer.
