*-*EDIT*-*
I didn't want this to become another Patriots thread since it was never about the Patriots in the first place. So I changed the title of the topic.

Well not so much the team. It's just that after every single play they play the introduction to "Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns n' Roses. They played it like 4 times in one minute. It gets annoying.
What else do you find annoying in sports right now?

lol fuck cry me a river
anyways I can't stand that at every Yankee game they always focus on Derek Jeter. If he's not at bat they show him celebrating. Common

I'm annoyed with people like myself who are optimistic and try to find reason why the Red Sox have the edge in the series just to have the Yankee's come in and piss on their home plate. It really was obvious, but we were all trying to find reasons why the Red Sox had it this year. Ugh, typical.

example:
Hideki Matsui hits a home run, they'll not only show Matsui running the bases but they will also show Jeter clapping his hands or pumping his fist in the air.
hope that helps

Exactly. The point of this thread is to complain about things that annoy you in sports.
Also, that little AOL guy is EVERYWHERE. Like last night, they'd show the stats of Johnny Damon except instead of "MLB ON FOX" flasing accross the screen it would be the AOL guy swinging a bat or throwing a pitch. Also, during the Falcons game, there was a digital ad for AOL for broadband on the bottom of the feild with the AOL guy. I laughed when I saw that one. It took up like the whole entire bottom portion of the field.

Like I said in the beginning of the season, when the Seahawks were picked as the team to win the Superbowl by a bunch of "experts" with not any recent major success. When you put those kind of expectations on an unproven team they are bound to choke a little bit. I think the Eagles are pretty much the NFC champs this year unless something changes.

What annoys me is when there is no news and ESPN just has a bunch of guys on speculating shit. Like the NBA offseason was awful for that.

It annoys me how arrogant yankee fans are, and they basically are buying a World Series. They talk about how the Yankees always step up int he poistseason and have spirit, but how can you attribute a store bought team the same attributews of the former yankee teams of the past. Know what I'm saying, is it like a magic aura or something.

It annoys me that they no longer play "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" during the 7th-Inning Stretch, instead playing "God Bless America." It was cool during the 2001 postseason, 'cause baseball became like a celebration of the American spirit. Now, it's just sort of annoying. Especially since such a large percentage of the players aren't even American to begin with.

I don't like how CBS has to have their eye logo thing everywhere. It was in 5 different places on the screen at one point.

How your team can beat all these other teams (a lot of them being ranked teams) and fucking lose to a non-ranked sucky ass Notre Dame team and now they won't get in the national championship game. They should be ranked like 4 right now but noooooooo they had to lose to suck ass Notre Dame.

Doesn't matter if they won by luck or not, the only thing that matters is winning week in and week out. Take away that Notre Dame loss and they are top 4 as we speak. But ah well.
Teh way that Rangers FC and Celtic FC get away with murder every week in the SPL.

If you don't deserve to win a game but do because of a fluke, you get credit in your record, but when the system is based on how good your team is, not your record, you get what you deserve.
I like listening to Jim Rome, but he really is a dumbass. He plays devils advocate on everything, and when there are two positions he finds a way to disagree with both. I like his voice though.

George Steinbrenner, the Triple H of baseball. I am sick of seeing the Yankoffs on top year after year after year and buying championship after championship after championship. I'd like to see how "great" the Yankoffs would be with a salary cap.
The Baltimore Ravens. All talk, no walk.
Patriots winning two fluke last-second Super Bowls.
Barry Bonds.
The Los Angeles Clippers. Why the hell do they exist? The should get new owners, a new name, new coach, new players, and move to Pittsburgh.
The Los Angeles Lakers.
Shaq's fat ass fouling everbody and not getting called.
The WNBA can rarely be found on TV. Shut up, I love the WNBA.
No XFL. Bad or not, it was football in the off-season.
The Baltimre Ravens. Had to say it twice.
Bud Selig. The Stephanie McMahon to George Steinbrenner's Triple H.
Art Modell actually being considered for the HOF. What are they, fucking stupid?!
Canadians singing our national anthem before games. I have nothing against Canada or Canadians ...except Quebec... but it's our National Anthem, find a damn American singer.

Jesus Christ, is this all you people can say about the Yankees? Get over it. Not the Yanks fault that thier owner spends his money. Let me let you on a little secret. Most owners in the MLB have just as much money as Stein, it's just that they don't spend the money. This is just a ridiculous argument.
And yes the Series is getting to me right now.

A. Stop comparing sports figures to wrestlers.
B. George Stienbrenner is by no means the richest owner in baseball, he's just taking advantage of it, and last time I checked they haven't won a World Series since 2000, so stop complaining. The Yankees are great for baseball.

What are we supposed to call it, we don't have our own version of what you call football here in England.
Also, the game is played 90% of the time with your feet touching the, wait for it, ball
How dare we call it football. :wavesad:
I am a big fan of the NFL, but come on.
Kicking is just a part of the game, the majority is passing/recieving and rushing.
Also, Rugby is a form of football technically I believe, but no one here calls it football.
Trying to tell people how to bitch, or to not bitch about something in particular in a bitching thread? What the fuck?
And mine would be the Yankees. Well, more like the fact that baseball allows the Yankees to do what they do. Alot of teams CANNOT spend 200 million on a payroll. And the teams that can shouldn't have to more than double their payroll to match up with the Yankees.
Also, Derek Jeter. He's fucking mediocre. The Yankees have the best shortstop in baseball, but he's playing third base.
