View Full Version : A thoroughly bizarre idea

About a year back, I was surfing the Mailbox at Wrestlecrap.com, and RD Reynolds posted a link to the "Hasbro Wrestling Alliance." What the HWA was was a site that this kid made where he booked cards using his old Hasbro WWF figures, then took digital photos and wrote absurd commentary. Basically, it's like (TPWW's) TNA, but with action figures.

I was thinking, since my whole TPWW 500 idea didn't quote come out as planned (I'm still going to post a Top 50 once I have time to do the write-ups to my satisfaction), maybe I should do a show like that. Sort of in the vein of my TNA sim I have going in the Video Game Forum, but not serious. I mean, this would be a league populated by the Berzerker and Doink the Clown and Marty Jannetty.

Any thoughts? If anybody thinks this is a good idea, respond to this thread. If there's enough support (by "enough," I mean "enough to warrant me spending what will probably be an entire day posing little toys and coming up with witty commentary"), I think I'll make my first card into a Taboo Tuesday-like thing, where I'll ask you, the TPWW faithful, to pick the matches.

Just imagine:

Warlord vs. Giant Gonzalez for the WWF Title!
Skinner vs. Tatanka in a hardcore match!

The possibilities are endless...

Anyway, let me know what you think.

...bitches. [/FF]

Oh, and I'll also post the full roster if there's enough support.

Sure.
Will be better than anything they come up with on Smackdown.

Here's the roster I'll be working with, if the support keeps coming. I'm removing deceased wrestlers, because...that'd just be creepy.

Akeem
Ax
Berzerker
Bret Hart
Brutus Beefcake
Bushwhacker Butch
Bushwhacker Luke
Crush
Doink the Clown
Dusty Rhodes
Earthquake
El Matador
Giant Gonzalez
Greg Valentine
Headshrinker Fatu
Headshrinker Samu
Honky Tonk Man
Hulk Hogan
Irwin R. Schyster
Jake Roberts
Jim Duggan
Jimmy Snuka
Jim Neidhart
Kamala
Marty Jannetty
The Mountie
Papa Shango
Randy Savage
Razor Ramon
Repo Man
Rick Martel
Rick Steiner
Ricky Steamboat
Roddy Piper
Scott Steiner
Sgt. Slaughter
Shawn Michaels
Skinner
Tatanka
Ted DiBiase
Typhoon
Ultimate Warrior
Undertaker
Virgil
Warlord

If this becomes a regular thing, maybe I'll do "tribute" shows with "lifesize statues" of:

Andre The Giant
Big Boss Man
British Bulldog
Mr. Perfect
Rick Rude
Texas Tornado

Anyway, I'm pleased with the support so far, but I want some more positive responses before I start planning ballots for the first show.

Sounds like potential gold, loopy, if you can manage the time. Try it!

I did that one with my Stone Cold, Sabu, and Tommy Dreamer. Yeah, I found some ECW action figures.

Rather than starting with a "Taboo" show, I'm going to do a self-booked show to start. This way, I can establish champions and stuff, making it easier to set up polls when (if) I do a second show. Here's what I'm thinking so far.

LWF - Loopydate Wrestling Federation (Working title) Royal Rumble

Main Event: 45-Man Royal Rumble For The World Title

All living LWF members are included. Last man standing is the World Champion.

Tag Team Turmoil: For The Tag Team Titles (a.k.a. the "Clusterfuck")

Bushwhackers (Luke and Butch) vs. Demolition (Ax and Crush) vs. "Guys From Africa" (Akeem and Kamala) vs. Hart Foundation (Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart) vs. Headshrinkers (Fatu and Samu) vs. Natural Disasters (Earthquake and Typhoon) vs. Rhythm & Blues (Greg Valentine and Honky Tonk Man) vs. Rockers (Marty Jannetty vs. Shawn Michaels) vs. Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott) vs. Strike Force (El Matador and Rick Martel) vs. Team America (Jim Duggan and Sgt. Slaughter) vs. A Mystery Team

Ego vs. Ego vs. Ego (Loser must job at next PPV)

Hulk Hogan vs. Randy Savage vs. Ultimate Warrior

Five-Star Wrestling Classic (Winner gets held down)

Ricky Steamboat vs. Ted DiBiase

Fatal Fourway: Battle of the Occupations

Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake vs. Irwin R. Schyster (IRS) vs. The Mountie vs. Repo Man

ash iybisikj Match (Winner gets an unintelligible ten-minute promo)

Dusty Rhodes vs. Roddy Piper

Giant Magnet On A Pole Match

Berzerker vs. Warlord

Let's See Who Else Can Job Match

Undertaker vs. Doink the Clown, Skinner, and Virgil

Oh, Wait These Guys Need A Match, Too Match

Jimmy Snuka and Tatanka vs. Papa Shango and Giant Gonzalez

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Anyone got the link for HWA?
I've been trying to find it forever. I think I had it on my other computer, but when the kids stopped updating, I deleted it. I'll check, but I think I've lost the link.

<font color=goldenrod>I'm loving that card. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

Also, I'm guessing that the mystery team will be a Drug-Based team of Razor Ramon and Jake "The Snake" Roberts</font>
