Watching Smackdown.
So, who is going to send get well messages to John Cena? They have a web site up for it.

here is the message I sent:

Dear Cena,

I'm sorry that the WWE came up with such a sorry excuse for you to go out there to make your movie. I mean they could have done so much better than "He was beat up in a bar fight and suffered from a kidney injury." I mean you are John Cena. Well anyway maybe next time if they do try this again they will give you a better excuse, or any other wrestler for that matter cause you know they already did this before. HBK in case anyone needed to be reminded.

Take care and am lookin forward to the movie.

Did anyone think John Cena getting "injured" in a bar fight really made him sound weak? Whether or not Carlito Caribbean Cool was there or not, I think they should of just said something like John Cena was signed to do a movie by Vince McMahon a few months ago, and there is no way out of it (which is why he leaves in the middle of his feud with CCC), or simply have him suspended for wreckless behaviour, and have him work on a movie as a "time out" sort of thing.

They could have even had an injury angle right after the John Cena vs Cool match. Anything would have been better then a Bar fight.

injury angle would have also put over another wrestler.
i mean, i am still hoping that CCC is somehow involved in this cos that will help him. if not, then its pathetic!

personally, i think they should have done something with Mark Jindrak or Orlando Jordan to help one of those lackeys get over

Yeah, I was thinking about that I think CCC is somehow involved with this. And it could start up a good fued when he gets back.

"Dear John,
Don't feel too bad. I'm sure you'll be back and making poop and gay jokes better than ever!"

The bar fight idea was stupid.
I do not believe that he would get injured like that in a bar fight.
Couldn't they at least come up with something believable?

What can I say? Michael Hayes is booking him. (Thanks for the gay jokes, Hayes. Really.)

I dont think it makes Cena look weak. I dont care how tough you are, someone stabs you a couple of times in the kidney, you're going to be out a few weeks......well HHH wouldn't be, but any mortal man would be.

They probably end up doing one of those deals where you think it Carlito, but you later find out it was someone else behind it (ie Angle).

well HHH wouldn't be, but any mortal man would be.
Only if the attacker tried to stab him from below the glass ceiling. Or if HHH was wearing the World Title.

10 to 1 odds that it's Rikishi, doing it for the Rock.

Well it kinda happened to Andy Douglas, one half of the naturals tag team in TNA.....wait a minute....could Vince be that kind of Evil Bastard and got the idea from that?

The smart thing would be to make it be CCC, but that's also the obvious thing. I really, after he won the belt, he should have laid a serious beatdown to Cena, pummelling him with the chain, giving him internal injuries, then tossing him through a table or two or something. Then end that with an apple spit to a fallen Cena, with Carlito holding the belt and Cena's chain hight to end the show. That would have been completely awesome, and it wouldn't have made Cena look much weaker, since he was already knocked out by the chain.

Or something like that... a "bar fight" is just stupid, and I'll bet they forget by then anyway.

I do think the "get well" messages are hilarious though. I wonder how many people actually buy that...

They did a good job when Austin got run down at SurvSer in 99, so I figure they'll do a decent job with this one.

I like the idea of Triple C laying out Cena to get heat, but at the same time, people have seen so much that its impossible to have a top face sell a table spot for weeks or months. I mean JBL basically took what you are describing, and he finished and won his match with Taker. If Cena was out for a long time he would look like a punk. Thats why we see those crazy car spots and bar fight stories.

We'll see, i they capitalize on it, and they bring Cena back and do the right thing with him, it'll likely be a big success. If not, well that'll be par for the course I guess.

Gonna be a hell of a job explaining how he doesn't have stab wounds on his kidneys when he comes back.

Or they could do their usual and forget it even happened.

They could easily throw some type of make-up job stab wound on him. Or they could just say he had plastic surgery.

If thats the worst thing that comes out of this angle, then I'll be a happy person. I mean I want them to show consistency with their angles, but if I ever start complaining about a lack of a stab wound, quickly slap me.

I think I've got it. The story will go that John Cena's attack places him in critical condition. Doctors have to take questionable methods to bring him back. They rebuild him, and make him stronger, faster, more powerful then ever before.

Five months later --- or whenever filming on "The Marine" is over --- John Cena returns. But he's not the same white rapper we remember. Gone are the throwback jerseys. The chains. The caps. Standing in his place is a stoic, sunglass-bedecked man who is a direct rip-off ... er, tribute... to the Terminator.

Yes, John Cena returns as ... The Prototype.

...

OK, yeah. That was ridiculous. But I for one would love to hear him say, "Hasta la vista, Carlito."

It's one thing to get your ass kicked in a fight, it's another when a guy STABS you in the KIDNEY. So no, I don't think it made him look weak.

lol, I still say that they do a SWERVE and make it a "John Cena Stabbed Himself" and viola You hire raven back and team with a suicidal John Cena to help the tag division!

There you go WWE that solved 3 problems, only you will be screwed in the end because you'll make John Cena lose his baby.... :nono:

I stabbed John Cena

I did it for The Rock

I love it!

It could set up Rock-Cena for Mania.

Riksihi could say he seen Cena got a movie deal, he could see Cena was getting over with the fans, and he was worried he would take Rock's place. So he stabbed Cena in a night club.

Rock could come back and say to Kish: "what the fuck is wrong with you......stop trying to kill people, and furthermore, stop using me as the reason for doing it, its making me look bad".

Then it comes out Rock was actually in on it, and there's your match.

BTW, that was a joke......or was it ?.......

Of course, they actually SHOWED Austin getting hit by the car....

Actually, I'd mark out for a return of the Prototype. It'd be absolutely hilarious.

On a more serious note, I'd like to see him get back some of his edge... like he's seen death and isn't as lacksadaisical anymore. He's now more brooding and intense.

That would be a logical development in his character.

John Cena's character needs a complete revamp. The rap thing is old. It got him hot, but it won't carry him into the next boom period. I really think a more serious intense John Cena would be very good for his comeback. No more rap. No more hats. No more blue jeans. He comes back in full wrestling gear and is ready to be the next WWE Champion. I think a HHH-esqe "return" would be awesome. Have Cena come back as a bad ass ready to destroy the WWE.

But, they will beat that horse until the flies finally go away.

Ok, shall we take bets and see if the WWE screws this up and it's just an injury that keeps him out of wrestling and there turns out to be no angle? This is what I see happening. By time he comes back they will have forgotten what they were going to do with all this...

Sometimes I think the WWE needs new writers.
Maybe someone from The Weekly World News....
