Yeah, so every now and then I will just be on the computer and the whole screen will turn into a tint of red. Like, you can still see everything but the whole monitor is in a red tint. Sometimes it just goes back to normal and other times I just restarted. So, is there something wrong with the monitor or what?

wiggle the monitor cable thats hooked into your video card....notice your monitor colours changing at all? if they are you have pin(s) loose in your monitor cable.

Ye old monitor is on its way out, I have one like that in the shed, it will only get worse.

If I keep using this monitor for a couple weeks will it damage anything else, or will the monitor just keep getting worse? Because today it did it once for a couple minutes, but its fine now. So I was thinking about just using this one as long as it lasts while I look for another one.

nah, it wont break anything...you can get refurbed 17" monitors for like 50 bucks as well, so they're not expensive.
