View Full Version : STL didn't like their hotel...

So, La Russa is pissed that the team stayed 20mins south of Boston, his bus got stuck on the highway in traffic after a game, the hotel doesn't offer 24hrs room service and the food they put out didn't have enough selection.
So, he's saying he wants the sox busses to drop them off a few blocks away from the STL park and make them walk, the fans are also talking about going to the sox hotel and pulling fire alarms and blastic music so the sox get no rest...
Christ, if this is your biggest concern, no wonder your down 2 games to 0.
the problem is, MLB wouldn't book rooms till they knew the sox were in the WS.
This weekend had a big Pats game, A huge medical convention and the head of the charles regatta. So the closest hotel they could get the 100 rooms that STL wanted was 20mins south of Boston.
Now, my question of course is... why did STL need 100 rooms... I'm not saying players had to share rooms... but if every player, coach, gm, owner, batboy got their own room... I still don't think that comes near 100...

Boston :nono:
This beaseball year should just be cancelled right now. We'll just start from Game 4 ALCS and continue from there in March. Then play the new season.

Oh yeah, and another... a reporter I didn't hear who, is questioning if Schilling even has blood on his sock and it's just being done for motivation and drama.

Why would they want to stay in Boston anyways, it would be all crazy and shit. It probably makes more sense staying in the suburbs.
They shoulda came to Woburn, we got lots of hotels

Proberly Mad, because they stayed in a town not as well known and didn't have a wide selection of hookers for his players to choose from....

I'm not going to lie, after the season they had its kind of sad watching St. Louis struggle like they have in the playoffs.

It's Hard to Say they have struggled when they are in the World Series...

What are you talking about? I hate to go RDD on you, but are you stupid? I said they had an amazing season. Unless you are blind and missed the fact that they are down 0-2 when the Red Sox have made 8 errors in two games and left tonns of guys on base, hence they are struggling in the World Series. Way to take things totally out of context though.

OK, as usual there is an overreaction in a post like that. Now looking back on it, I did say "playoffs," I meant to say "World Series". Technically they haven't been as good in the playoffs as I thought, but what I was referring to was the World Series. Sorry for the bitching Helmsphere, I didn't mean it

It's Okay, Of course, who am I to say they are struggling or not...I didn't follow them over the season, despite the fact, knowing they won 105 Regular Season Games and Pujols and Rolen are a beast...
Plus I'm a Red Soxs Fan Anywayz :p

Edmonds and Walker are huge too. Going into the playoffs I thought they were untouchable, but then when the World Series started I just couldn't see Boston losing. I wish it was closer than this though.

Don't Worry...as a Soxs Fan...I see St Louis...taking the next game...losing game 4 and then winning Game five, before heading back to Boston...Also, this is something I'm wondering...
Why is it Boston has the Home Field Advantage? Because if I'm not mistaken, St Louis won there Division and had the better record, while Boston was a Wild Card Team?

Home field goes to the league that wins the allstar game, it was MLB way of making the Allstar game mean something.

it's a stupid rule IMO. The only thing that Selig cares about is ratings.

I can't see the Cards getting swept. A lot of the people here (I'm in central missoura) have pretty much conceded the loss anyway, but I still think they will at least win one. It would be better if they win two, Sox win it at Fenway..
Anyway, its just a shame that the Cards ended up being on the other end of the Red Sox in the World Series. They were a really good team all season, in most situations a lot of people would have been rooting for them, but they just happened to have a great season and make the world series the same year as Boston, so of course everybody roots for Boston. My hats are off to this Cards team.

Before that it just alternated every year anyways. So regular season records have never meant anything when you reach the World Series
