I have been thinking about it, but I would really like them to make a stable out of it. They could get the Iron Sheik and Sabu to help fill it out (Iron Sheik there as a mouth piece or manager).

I heard that they're not a tag team, but Magnus is going to be the singles guy and Sean something is going to be his manager. I know Rob posted them as a tag team in the other thread, so he might of heard something else.
Anyway, I personally ca't wait for these two as I want to see the heat they will gnerate and I want to see how far they will go.

But, it would be really cool if they brought in a whole stable that went on a Jihad.

Yea, that would be cool. They could probably get Shiek, even though he can barely walk, but Sabu would be tough to get I think. Bring in that Tiger Ali Sing (sp) guy and have him be Muslim. And Sunjay (sp) Dutt from TNA.

Tiger Ali Sing is Indian (and probably of the Hindu Indians too, but yeah he could work in a pinch).

Yeah bring in Sonjay Dutt, although I can't see what they would do with him after such n angle as he's too small, especially for Raw.

This is Sonjay if you don't know him

Perfect for the role.

Well, if they do it right, the angle can last for a while.

But come to think of it, it would probably go the way of la resistance....or they could team up with la resistance in an oil for food type thing.

From a booking point of view, you'd have Sonjay as the teenage suicide bomber type, obviously.
Sonjay Dutt is an excellent performer. If he were to be a part of this Muslim stable it'd hopefully get a lot of notoriety. Have Magnus and Sean be the tag team, and Tiger Ali Singh as the manager.

Oh god, more "We hate America" wrestlers. Just what we need. OH and man, do the fans ever love that gimmick or what. It hasn't been done to death or anything.

Yeah, but this has a touch of realism, as opposed to the normal Canadan vs. America thing they always have.

And it's not just the American way of life, they actually hate the Americans. This isn't a "We don't like you people!" heel run, this is a "We hate each and every one of you personally!" heel run.
Last I heard, they are still coming in as a tag team.

I just hate that the gimmick will fan the flames of ignorance most Americans have towards Muslims.
But in these times of the modern day Crusades, I guess thats what they want.

I'm just expecting Jim Ross to dislike these guys for no justifiable reason.

I hate when JR is dumb like that.
Its like last week on RAW. Imagine if a babyface was surrounded by 20 guys and getting beats, JR would be crying up a storm and screaming bloody murder. But because its a heel, its okay. I hate that kind of commentating.

I agree, 100%. I used ot love it when a commentator like Paul Heyman would scream at JR "CAN YOU JUSTIFY THIS?" and JR would sort of shut up about how th eheel is egtting what he deserved. I would love to see a reasonable heel commentator get a spot next to JR. Lawler could do it, but he needs to stop puttin gover the divas in such a sexist way. Why can't Stacy Keibler be a "non-wrestler that doesn't below in the same ring as Trish Stratus" to King instead of "WOOHOO!". I would mark out Jerry Lawler related something happening in a match to sometime in his career, or abused some guy because they're desicrating his "royal court".
JR is a great commentator with a passion, but I dislike it when he tries to call someone a bad guy when they haven't been built-up as such. There is no real reason for Gene Snitsky to be despised by JR, and no reason why Mark Magnus and Shawn Daivari should be bad guys by just showing up. I'd like to see JR give them a chance, but then have him turn on them when they do something blantanly in poor taste.

Yes, JR does indeed suck. I loved it when Heyman was doing color, it was like some of the best Raw's ever.

Now that I think about it, I as much as I want this team to be on Raw, if they were on Smackdown, on could win the US title and then rename it Arab title or something, that would be a lot of heat there.

Yea, they're not a tag team.
According to article on parents.wwe.com posted earlier today, WWE is introducing two new Arab-American characters on Monday Night RAW. Muhammad Hassan and Khosrow Daivari are U.S. citizens who have grown up in America. They love their country. However, they now face a new and different kind of relationship with their fellow U.S. citizens as a result of being Arab-American in a United States still struggling with the tragic events of September 11, 2001. RAW will explore the challenges Hassan and Daivari face as Hassan tries to make his mark as a new WWE Superstar under the guidance of Daivari as his manager.
Note: This was posted on the main WWE.com website as well so it looks like they are really going to try and push the edge on this one.

Wow, I'm starting to have hope this may not be another "We hate America!" gimmick. I hope Hassan & Daivari do well. I'd rather see them as a tag team, though.

So I just read they had a dark match at Taboo Tuesday and they got a lot of heat, which is a great sign for somebody who hasn't even been on TV yet.
I hope they push him to the moon and take this gimmick as far as they can go with it. If HHH were out of the picture, I could see a World Title run with this guy.

2) AMW has signed a new contract with TNA

I always pictured this Mark Magnus guy as a fusion of the Randy Orton and Mr Perfect (R.I.P.) characters. Instead the WWE have created an interesting take on the foreinger gimmick. Apparently Magnus has a great finishing move, and Daivari is a talented wrestler (it wouldn't surprise me to see them occasionally team up, maybe even for a run with the World Tag Team Championship). I can definately see this guy going somewhere, whether it be as Mark Magnus or Muhammad Hassan. Hopefully Khasrow Daivari/Shawn Daivari gets his chance in the light somewhere down the track as well.
