On the WWE.com poll 54% of people think Hardcore Holly will beat Brock Lesnar for the title at Royal Rumble? How stupid can some people be? Dark Kane and Paul thewall must be voting over and over again or something.

Yeah. The polls are like a Don King match: they're fixed.

Well all of the polls aren't fixed are they? I mean I think polls like "which show was better this week?" would be something that the WWE is generally interested in knowing? But, then again I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't give a shit at all what we think on the internet. So whatever... :-\

I just can't imagine people voting that Holly will defeat Lesnar, you got to be really stupid. So i would say it's fixed, but when it's fixed you got to ask your self will Holly really win :shifty:

You post stupid shit, and you're an idiot. My point is that anyone who votes for Holly to beat Lesnar is an idiot. That's why I mentioned you, since you are a complete moron. As for me finding my role in the board, I don't really care what you or anyone thinks of me. If you think I am trying to suck up or whatever, then I don't care. But I don't say stuff like that to suck up. I say it because you are a dumbass.

I hope Holly wins so I can laugh at you.
With Lesnar changing brands and all from what I hear, it makes him losing more possible than you think.
WWE.com's polls are either amazingly stupid ("Should JR sue Kane for lighting him on fire?") or they're fixed.
Then again, there are a lot of marks out there who might be convinced that Holly could win at the Rumble. Who knows.

I think a lot of casual fans think Holly will win because of the way he's been successfully pushed. Hardcore, IMO, a great talent. He can work decent matches, some of his work just sounds stiff (it probably is, but I haven't heard anything on wrestler's complaining, so I'll assume he just makes it sound and look real), he's paid his dues. Sure he's injury prone, but he's been in some pretty bad predicaments in his career. Angle's moonsault, Lesnar dropping him on his head, etc. Sometimes things like that happen, and I hope this may be Holly's big chance.
The fans have been marking out for Hardcore Holly recently. He's been getting bigger reactions than Chris Benoit. He might be on par with Cena as far as his reactions go. The guy has been in the WWE for years, and has worked some really good spots in his career. The fans know him, like him, and respect him. That's what makes a marketable WWE Champion. Holly, IMO, is in the best place ever in his life, and can literally become one of the WWE's biggest stars. He goes in there every night to entertain and wrestle, sure he may not be Chris Benoit, but he isn't poor in the ring. I honestly see him with as much potential talent as a used right Booker T. They could build him up to be the SmackDown! version of Stone Cold Steve Austin no troubles. I think it's about time people cut Holly slack and stopped talking about how he is undeserving. If Holly doesn't become WWE Champion soon, I think it would be a safe bet to assume he will become WWE United States Champion. Holly is one of the hardest working guys in the entire WWE, I think he deserves this push to the top.
As far as storylines go, I think Lesnar will win at the Rumble, but I hope Holly does. It won't be an A-Class match, but the anticipation will be there. I hope they have Holly win the match and the title then having him defend it at No Way Out and maybe lose it to Chris Benoit or Kurt Angle, or Lesnar wins after Holly goes "Hardcore" at the Rumble and does one of his huge spots and smashes everything in site with a steel chair and his pattented garbage can lid windmill, thus leading to Holly getting disqualifyed. Lesnar takes time off to rest his nagging injuries and returns to action around No Way Out to build-up to his WrestleMania opponent. I personally wouldn't mind seeing Chris Benoit vs. Kurt Angle vs. Hardcore Holly vs. Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania, or the three faces having a No 1. Contender's Match at No Way Out. If Holly does win the title (which believe it or not, I think is very likely judging by the internet basically swaying 99.9% to Lesnar winning), I wouldn't be surprised to see him turn heel and face Benoit or Angle at WrestleMania.

That would be worse than David Arquette winning the World Title. Honestly.

I agree with you that Holly has been pushed very well lately. But I would bet anything that if Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, John Cena, Kurt Angle, or so many others had been receving the type of dominating push Holly is on that their pops would be much larger than Holly's are now. Hardcore is not a bad talent, but he is nothing special either, and not good enough to be in the main event at what is the 2nd biggest PPV of the year.
He can work decent, but can't carry anyone to a good match. The ability to carry even bad workers to good matches is one of the biggest traits of a great worker IMO. Holly is very stiff, that is one of the things he is most known for. Ask Tough Enough 3's Matt how stiff Hardcore is. And while I'm on that subject, that just shows how much of an ASSHOLE he is IMO.
As for paying dues, that doesn't mean he deserves the main event push over someone else like Eddie, Cena, or Benoit who can carry themselves in the main event much better than Holly is capable of doing. Holly just isn't going to be a main event draw. The fact that he isn't as good as people like Kurt or Benoit in the ring isn't even the only reason why. He doesn't have that much of a personality, or hardly any charisma, and behind the mic he isn't capable of working the crowd. The one thing I respect most about Holly is his dedication, and the fact that he is a legitimate tough guy. Finishing matches against Kurt and Brock with serious injuries is very impressive. But the fact is, some people are just not good enough to be main event players, and IMO this is the case with Hardcore.
As for Chris Benoit not getting pops as big as Holly. Him and Cena's pop when they won the match against FBI were bigger than Hardcore's I thought. I promise that if Benoit went out to the ring and put Lesnar in the crossface, he would get a bigger pop than Holly could ever dream of. As for Holly being on par with Cena and Booker T, I don't agree with that at all. I think you are giving Holly way too much credit. Smackdown version of Stone Cold? Holly isn't anywhere near the worker Stone Cold was, and could never be half as popular as SCSA is.
Holly could possibly be a capable US champion, but right now the US championship needs someone who can bring prestige to it. Hardcore is capable of working with someone or something that is already established, but he doesn't have the ability to elevate anyone or a title like the US (and especially the World title) Someone like Cena, Eddie, or Rey could do wonders for that title. Hardcore just isn't as deserving or capable of carrying fueds and titles as alot of other people on the Smackdown roster.
