I just posted in the GTASA thread about something that happened to me in the game.It was one of my fav personal gaming moments :D
I'll paste it here for anyone that hasnt read it

I was driving a train real fast and it derailed and flew off a cliff into some water out by the forest.Just as I began swimming to land (the long way) It turned to night and began thunder, lightning and raining (The effects are cool) and I swam to a little deserted harbour walkway thing and it had an old wheelchair made out of wood and patches. It began getting foggy to and I swear I heard a chainsaw. It was really freaky! Even though its dumb to find a game freaky with a few exceptions. Its just with the thunder, lightning, rain and fog.Being stuck in the middle of nowhere.Just finding an empty wheel chair facing out into the water and hearing a chainsaw was kinda freaky.I wouldnt have thought much of the noises if I hadn't read about an unkillable guy with a chainsaw in the woods just a few pages back. The only cool thing that happened on halloween this year. :-\
Its probably going to be one of my fav personal gaming moments :D

Anyway discuss, argue and tell everyone some of your fav personal gaming moments.
I'll maybe do another later.

I was playing NBA Hangtime like six years ago, and I had the ball with Dennis Rodman at my own basket. Out of nowhere, he just jumped into the air above everybody, across the court, spinning his arm around with the ball, like winding up for a softball pitch. He dunked the ball.

One of my personal favorite gaming moments would have to be when Klepto Klown jobbed with his level 90+ barbarian on normal difficulty in Diablo II.

I was a little kid then too... It took me years to beat it. (Of course I'd give up on it for months at a time).

Super Metroid was the man. I used to play the shit out of it... my personal best was getting 100% under 3 hours. Sadly, someone I know has done it in less than an hour, so that makes me feel like a bit less of a loser.

Anyways, my favorite moments... hmmmmm. Well, beating Super Mario Bros for the first time was pretty intense, 'cause it was the first game I ever played and all.

Finally beating Final Fantasy 3 was big for me too, 'cause I rented the game like 80 times but never had enough time to get all the way through. One time I just borrowed it from my friend and finally beat it, and thankfully the ending was quite enjoyable, so it was definitely worth the trouble.

Playing Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the first time. I mean, it was just so good that it sent chills down my spine. Being a huge LoZ fan to begin with, seeing the awesomeness of the 'franchise' in 3D was just insane. I was so pumped up for the game, I remember me and like 4 of my friends all got it for Christmas the year it came out, and we all played it nonstop and it was awesome.

Metroid Prime. On one hand it is just a seriously kick-ass game with a great story. And on the other hand, the nostalgia in it is awesome. It really feels like a Metroid game, which I was worried about when I first played it because I thought the transition to 3D and on a next-gen console would be awful. But it was beautiful. Also, fighting the Omega Pirate was pretty kick-ass. And those ghost-type enemies (I forget the names, haven't played in a while :o) where you have to use the X-ray visor to see, they scared the shit out of me, lol :o The first time I fought them I didn't know what I was doing, pretty intense.

I dunno I can think of a dozen more things, I play far too many video games :(

Three more sweet memories:

1) Getting Super Mario RPG. I had played it before at various places and it seemed so sweet and then when I finally got it it was sheer awesomeness.

2) Getting FFIII (FFVI in Japan and on Playstation). I had played it various places, rented it a few times and then I finally saw it for sale somewhere so I bought it and finally got to play the whole game through.

3) I could mention getting Zelda: OOT but several other people have done it so.... I say.... THE ULTIMATE MOMENT!

The first game system and game! Super Nintendo and Super Mario All Stars! God, that was so great... Mario all day! Four games to beat! .... Which I never could do back then! But I spent so much time playing that....

When I finally found a copy of "WCW vs. nWo: World Tour" at my local video store, about two months after it was released. I took it home and played it non-stop. I miss AKI...

When I first played WCW vs. NWO: World Tour against my friend who hated wrestling but still owned the game and liked it.

We had an over half hour match between.... Uhhhh... I think I was Sting.... and he was... I dunno.

We for some reason also taped that match. (Cause we didn't realize the recorder was on).

The moment in Zelda:OoT before you battled Gannondorf. He was playing that organ and Zelda was in a cage. Gannondorf did his usual bad-guy speach and all the Tri-Force pieces appeared on their hands. Damn that was a good build up; I wish I recorded it.

F, D, DF; the Dragon Punch, executed for the first time using Ken. September '92.

Recently, playing Star Wars Battlefront on XBox Live. It was a lag-o-thon, but playing with 23 other people was new to me. Eventually I'd get to bark orders at other players and they actually listened because they saw I was a good player. It was hella fun and damn if I got bored of that anytime soon.

Playing Mario 64 for a few minutes at a Blockbuster. It easily kicked the ass of all games I played before it. No game since matched in terms of playing them for the first time.

Similar to the Star Wars one, my first four player GoldenEye deathmatch. It was crazy.

Detailed moments:

In Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 I nailed a combo that included half the elements of the New York level, and bailed. In later Hawk's I'd normally hit the big combos, but damn that first big bail.

This is actually a couple of moments; me and my brother got the awesome WCW/NWO World Tour and played it to death. My friend and his little brother also got the game and what transpired was a series of memorable tag contest. It was either Bros vs. Bros or Big Bros vs. 'Lil Bros and the occasional mixed Bro Match (guess what that was). It was funny because we'd constantly trade tag-team titles amongst each other, although no other contenders were on the block.

In Raw 2 for XBox, we had a three-way Ladder Match and NONE of us knew how to get the title down, even if all three of us were hanging off it. This bad game design led to the funniest hour we've had in alot of games. We quit while declaring me as Rey Mysterio the winner, because I hung off it the most.

F, D, DF; the Dragon Punch, executed for the first time using Ken. September '92.
Yes, used to be such a pain to do, but I can now do the F, D + Punch, FD + Punch, to get the extra hit in, in my sleep.

Erm, only one that really sticks out is when I got a 1.3 million point combo on Tony Hawk's 4. So chuffed I took a photo of the score.

Can't really think of any other specific moments, but there's been loads on Xbox Live.

I was flying the dodo in GTA 3 but I ended up crashing into a building! Luckily I managed to still fly since I didn't hit it with the nose but than I ended up crashing into the building that looks like the daily bugle and landed right in front of the construction site. Cartel started to shoot me so I took out my shot gun and blasted them again and again. I gained many stars while managing to survive all the bullets but than a cop car suddenly sent me to the ground from behind. It felt a lot like scarface when the camera started moving away from my crippled body while the screen said: WASTED. If only the Scarface music had been playing. Classic moment for me!

Star Wars Battlefront

I was playing on Bespin (The Cloud City) and victory was in my grasp as the fight was coming to an end. I think my team had about 30 guys left and they were dwindling down in the 10's. I walked over to a bridge where a lot of action was happening to find about 3 of my guys firing from the base, and the entire bridge PACKED with Imperial Soldiers. I tossed one grenade onto the bridge, and BOOM! 10 guys go flying in all directions. My kill count slowly went up as they fell to their dooms, and I was awarded Victory!

Awesome moment.

Also, one time me and my cousin were playing Blitz on PS1, I was Broncos, he was Packers. He scored to go ahead with like 2 seconds left, but I got the kickoff and ran it all the way back with TD for the touchdown and the win

lol I had posted that, it was a lie my friend told me that had me pretty spooked about going into the woods.

Favorite Gaming Moment though was finally beating Super Ghouls And Ghosts. Ironically also my saddest moment, realizing I had to play through it again to truly beat it.

here's some of mine:

Playing the first Silent Hill with a friend of mine. Got freaked the hell out over every little thing and would have to pause the game for like a half hour at a time to figure out some of the puzzles (the piano one gave us hell...)

Playing an old game for the Sega Genesis called Road Rash. I got so good after a while that I could shove some of my opponents into oncoming traffic at the last second. Watching them race me hard only to slap into a car with a spine chilling snap is like poetry man...

Playing MDK, it would keep sending enemies on you endlessly until you destroyed the enemy generators. I used to sit atop a cliff and snipe them off as they ran up to get me. It felt like that scene in Saving Private Ryan where Jackson was popping the Nazi's as they ran up to the belltower. I loved it.

The feeling I'd get during the first Tie mission of xwing v. tie fighter. The mission is designed so you can fight more and more enemies with every level endlessly. Taking on 5 quintets of Rebels at once and giving them a run for their money.....priceless.

Probably just going straight through Mario 1 on the NES without dying once or using any warps. Nothing exciting, but when you get to worlds 6, 7 and 8 it gets pretty intense hoping you don't come up short on a long jump.

Dynamite Kid v.s. Tiger mask
I had a 34 minute match with these two that went back and forth the whole way. Both ended up getting busted open, and about 30 nearfalls at the end.

80% of my matches in fire pro wrestling games.

Goldeneye
was playing multiplayer with my friends, and had one of them cornered in a bathroom stall. All he had was grenades and just started chucking them. I shut the stall door just as he was throwing one and it bounced right back trapping him completly. Just as he said the word "Oh-no" it exploded.

Metroid prime
Fighting the rock boss. No more energy tanks left. Hp reads: 1 He sent some rocks my way and I destroyed them putting me at 16 for life. He rolls into a ball and ends up trapping me completely in a corner. Life: 6 Hitting the button as fast as I could I unleash a desperation salvo. Just as he is about to deliver the killing blow, his health runs out and he collapsed.

<font color=goldenrod>-Beating the main GTA3 story before my friend (who had the game about a month longer than me and made it to the 2nd island before I even got the game). What made it even better was the fact that I'm the one that actually beat the last mission for him.

-The awesome feeling I got when playing new Smackdown games for the first time.

-All of the classic matches my friend and I have had over the years in JBI, SYM, and HCTP.</font>
