Pierce Brosnan is over as 007...and endorses Colin Farrell? He'll suck as Bond.

I'm bored of Bond movies now. It's a shame that he didn't carry on, I liked him as Bond.
Bring back Timothy Dalton :shifty:

Maybe they should just stop making more and more stupid movies.

But then how will David Arquette, Martin Lawrence, and the Wayanses pay the bills?

They should end the Bond series completely, the classic Bond movies with Moore/Connery and Timothy Dalton were obviously the best.

I hate Pierce as Bond.

Each every new Bond movie that comes out gets worse everytime.

Die Another Day was just like Mission Impossible 2, both took 2 great series and turned them into straight up Jerry Buckheimer action movies

Personally, I think a throwback to Blofeld would be sweet for the next Bond.

Last Bond film I saw was The World is Not Enough, probably my favourite one of recent times.

I wasn't crazy about "TWINE." I still think "Goldeneye" is the best Pierce Bond film.

I have a question, though. "Die Another Day"'s working title was "Bond 20," because it was the 20th Bond flick. But haven't there been 21?

Dr. No, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Diamonds Are Forever, Live And Let Die, The Man With The Golden Gun, The Spy Who Loved Me, Moonraker, For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy, Never Say Never Again, A View To A Kill, The Living Daylights, License to Kill, GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough, and Die Another Day

Which one isn't counted? Hell, Bond was even in Casino Royale. That's 22!

Indeed, loopy.

Anyway, I believe that it would be better if either they end it.

I didn't like Brosnan at first, but now I think he is perfect for the character. I think Hugh Jackman would be a great replacement, though.

:y:

Honestly, I like the Bond films, but when does it stop? I disliked Brosnan for years and just when I finally started to like him, his time as Bond is over. If the series continues onward and introduces new Bonds, it's just going to become less special over time. The whole history of the same character taken into consideration, it just seems lame when some new young actor is introduced. I think that part of the reason I started to like Brosnan for the last 2 films was that he was finally aging and seeming like a more mid age established Bond.

Roger Moore :y:
Make another Moore film, lol, he could do it at any age. :shifty:

Casino Royale and NSNA are not counted since it was not made by United Artists.

The James Bond series has really turned to shit IMO. Goldfinger is still the best one.

Ah, thank you.

And I totally agree about Goldfinger. Easily the best of the 20.

The only good thing to come out of James Bond was "Goldeneye" for Nintendo 64

I like the movies, but I think the plots have become less Bond-ish, and have changed into more of mindless action. I hope the new Bond can capture more of his essence, and reinstate the charm and knack for staying out of a lot of trouble till the end of the movie, the character is supposed to have.

Bond movies have been going downhill. I liked the last one though. Guess we will all have to wait and see for the next 10 that come out.

Does anyone else find it rather ironic that 3 out of the 4 guys they have had play Bond (who is British) weren't British at all? (For the record, Dalton is Welsh, Connery is Scottish and Brosnan is Irish)

There are 5 Bonds, Dave. Let's not forget the efforts of Australian George Lazenby.

I was going to mention that. As well as that fact, NSNA is especially not recognised as it is, in essence, a remake of Thunderball.

I find it more ironic that you're totally wrong.

Scotland and Wales are part of Britain too, y'know. And before you go and change "British" to "English", I do believe it's been hinted that Bond at least has some Scottish in him, what with the kilt in OHMSS and all.

bleh, I don't pay any attention to Bond movies.

Not only that, I'm American, when we say British we always mean fucking English
