View Full Version : Survivor Series Card Discussion *Spoilers*

As of now, here is the confirmed card for Survivor Series:

WWE Championship
John Bradshaw Layfield vs. Booker T

Classic Survivor Series Elimination Match
Winning Team Gets Control of RAW
Triple H, Batista, Edge & Gene Snitsky vs. Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Maven & Randy Orton

Classic Survivor Series Eliminaiton Match
Kurt Angle, Luther Reigns, Mark Jindrak & Carlito Caribbean Cool vs. Eddie Guerrero, Rob Van Dam, The Big Show & ?????

WWE Intercontinental Championship
Shelton Benjamin vs. Christian

Grudge Match
The Undertaker vs. Heidenreich

WWE Women's Championship
Trish Stratus vs. Lita

WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Spike Dudley vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Chavo Guerrero vs. Billy Kidman

OK, now if the Cruiserweight Championship match gets say 20 minutes, the women's match 10, Taker/HDR gets 20, Benjamin & Christian 20, both elimination matches get 40 and the WWE Championship match gets 20, then that is 170 minutes. Now this leaves 10 minutes left for either promos or another possible match. Would you prefer to see Muhammad Hassan get some air time backstage, or would you rather see another match (probably from RAW) added to the card? I can see La Resistance vs. Rhyno & Tajiri added to the card. What does everyone else think?

Who does everyone think will be the last face added to Team Guerrero. UI can only really see it being one of a few people. Hardcore Holly, Nunzio, Charlie Haas & Paul London are ones I had in mind. Maybe a new superstar from OVW? I don't know why, but I can see Chavo Guerrero doing double-duty.

Lastly, what are everyone's predictions for these matches, and would you like to see any gimmicks/stipulations added onto them. Here is how I would modify the card, and have it turn out:

WWE Championship
John Bradshaw Layfield vs. Booker T
Winner: Booker T via pinfall.

Classic Survivor Series Elimination Match
Winning Team Gets Control of RAW
Triple H, Batista, Edge & Gene Snitsky vs. Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Maven & Randy Orton
Winners: Triple H, Batista, Edge & Gene Snitsky via pinfall.
Order of Elimiantion: Maven (DQ), Triple H (pinfall), Chris Benoit (countout), Orton (pinfall), Jericho (pinfall).

Classic Survivor Series Eliminaiton Match
Winning Team's Captain Gets WWE Title Shot at Armageddon
Kurt Angle, Luther Reigns, Mark Jindrak & Carlito Caribbean Cool vs. Eddie Guerrero, Rob Van Dam, The Big Show & Paul London
Winners: Kurt Angle, Luther Reigns, Mark Jindrak & Carlito Caribbean Cool via submission.
Order of Elimination: Mark Jindrak (pinfall), Rob Van Dam (pinfall), Luther Reigns (pinfall), The Big Show (submission), Paul London (submission), Eddie Guerrero (submission).

WWE Intercontinental Championship
Shelton Benjamin vs. Christian
Winner: Shelton Benjamin via pinfall.

Last Man Standing
The Undertaker vs. Heidenreich
Winner: Heidenreich.

WWE Women's Championship
Trish Stratus vs. Lita
Winner: Lita via pinfall.

WWE Cruiserweight Championship

Winner: Billy Kidman via pinfall.

World Tag Team Championship
Fatal Fourway Tag Team Elimination Match
La Resistance vs. Rhyno & Tajiri vs. William Regal & Eugene Dinsmore vs. The Hurricane & Rosey
Winners: Rhyno & Tajiri via pinfall.
Order of Elimiantion: The Hurricane & Rosey (pinfall), William Regal & Eugene Dinsmore (DQ), La Resistance (pinfall).

What are the chances John Cena would be able to ocme back for one match at Survivor Series. It just seems to me that the way Theordore R. Long kept emphasising Carlito Caribbean Cool in his backstage promo with Eddie, may me think of either John Cena or the One Man Gang. :-\

Yeah i was thinking about Cena too. Lets hope :)

If they do add another match to the Survivor Series card, maybe it could be a match where the losing team(s) get disbanded, with one member being sent over to SmackDown!.

La Resistance vs. Rhyno & Tajiri vs. The Hurricane & Rosey vs. Val Venis & Steven Richards w/Simon Dean as special guest referee? Have Rhyno & Tajiri pick up the win by pinning La Resistance. This means that we'll see three men released from their RAW contracts, and sent over to SmackDown!. Sylvain Grenier, The Hurricane & Val Venis or Steven Richards head over to SmackDown!.

Richards could play a man on the edge on SmackDown!, Venis could maybe have a role as "Chief of Staff", with a feud against Orlando Jordan? Sylvain Grenier tries to turn Rene Dupree against Kenzo Suzuki, or they set up a three-man re-incarnation of La Resistance. The Hurricane joins the cruiserweight division. Maybe he could take on a new S.H.I.T., or set up a feud with a supervillain, or as a supervillain? Maybe Shane Helms could return and team with Billy Kidman or Shannon Moore?

Or you could just have a Survivor Series Match at SS, and have The Hurricane, Rosey, Rob Conway & Sylvain Grenier vs. Rhyno, Tajiri, Val Venis & Steven Richards.

That's quite an interesting idea. I'd like that. Too bad the WWE isn't smart enough to do it.

If they were to have Chavo double up, it would just be stupid considering that Rey was pulled from the SS match to compete in the cruiserweight match.

Also, I have a really horrible feeling that Heidenreich is going to win :nono:

Why do I keep seeing Psicosis flipping me off? Signatures are turned off by default for a reason.

You know, I don't really get the point of this Heidenreich-Undertaker program. It just makes no sense and bores the hell out of me.

They NEVER have 170 minutes of wrestling on a 3 hour show.

If you look at Summerslam, that show had 8 matches, and I dont think any of them went over 25. I think the two world title matches were around the 20 minute mark and the Eddie/Kurt and HHH/Eugene matches were around 15. The rest of the matches were less than 15. And that show was jam packed, they didn't do a bunch of backstage skits, and they still couldn't have many long matches.

So there's no way they'll have multiple 40 minute matches on this show, unless they have some 2 minute matches.

The elimination matches should get a bare minimum of 20 apiece. JBL/BT should get 20 as well, and Taker-Heidenreich should be close to 15. The rest of the matches will likely come in at about 10 minutes each (less for the womens match, probably a tad more for the IC/CW title matches).

Personally, I dont think they should have added the CW title match, and should have left the extra time for the elimination bouts, but whatever. I hope they dont add anything more because the show is going to tight for time as it is.

Because he's Psychosis and he can do whatever he wants. Do you dislike my signature? Is there something wrong with Psychosis flipping someone off? :)

That would be the point. Chavo was trusted enough by Eddie to do double duty, yet Rey wasn't. A bitter Rey could be interesting. Maybe Rey could try and turn RVD against Eddie Guerrero?

Or you could have Teddy reveal that he will allow the winner of the Fatal Fourway to be able to do double-duty at Survivor Series. By having Rey or Chavo win it, you have a fourth member.

If they added a match it should be Simon Dean's debut match. They could set something up pretty easily between him and Val Venis

(Dean calls a girl fat, Val saves her, pretty simple stuff)

I think it would be better if we saw Val Venis vs. Simon Dean on RAW (with the shenagians, and stuff), but Simon gets counted out deliberately, and they have another match at Survivor Series. Dean then picks up the pinfall.

You know, I don't really get the point of this Heidenreich-Undertaker program. It just makes no sense and bores the hell out of me.Hmm...I'm interested to see what they will do with this one. The Undertaker usually starts his annual vacation time sometime around now, so I wouldn't be suprised to see them do something to get him off TV for it. But seeing as how his Dead Cowboy gimmick is going right now, I don't know. That could all change.

I'm also interested in seeing this whole Heidenreich psycho thing. He's doing rather well in selling this gimmick (better than the last one he did, with "Little Johnny" and all). He's learning more and more, though he is still green. I think being green is the only thing hurting him.

That was a mod warning BTW. The next best thing to ripping Psicosis' finger off and raping his ear with it is mod magic. Observe.

I hope Paul Heyman does commentary during the Undertaker/Heidenreich match. I really think it would be interesting. Maybe we will see Snitsky interfere on Heidenreich's behalf, destroying the second Calloway brother. If it's No DQ, Heidenreich can pin/in by submission after a cobra clutch on the unconscious Taker. If it's DQ, the Dead Man wins via DQ. If it's Buried Alive or a Casket Match, Undertaker does the job and gets buried, he goes inot a casket, but then disappears or gets put in a casket, then gets put into a woodchipper by Heidenreich, The Dudleys and/or Snitsky.

OK, what match does everyone think should start the card? I'm thinking Trish vs. Lita or the cruiserweight match (it would be hard to follow up, though).

Yeah Trish V Lita to start the card, you could maybe have the RAW! Tag Championship to start though. Either of those two would be good choices IMO.

WWE Championship
John Bradshaw Layfield vs. Booker T

I don't see them letting JBL hold that thing for too much longer, and they got something good going with Booker T, so I think Book may win this. Going out on a limb here, though.

Classic Survivor Series Elimination Match
Winning Team Gets Control of RAW
Triple H, Batista, Edge & Gene Snitsky vs. Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Maven & Randy Orton
Don't know for sure, but they could make the fall of Evolution even more potent with a face win here. I think they'll do that.

Classic Survivor Series Eliminaiton Match
Kurt Angle, Luther Reigns, Mark Jindrak & Carlito Caribbean Cool vs. Eddie Guerrero, Rob Van Dam, The Big Show & ?????

I think John Cena is going to be in this but I see Angle's team coming out on top somehow. It'll be down to the final two, though.

WWE Intercontinental Championship
Shelton Benjamin vs. Christian
I hope Shelton wins here. Christian needs to move up on the card, and this will not be helping him any if he wins the IC title.

Grudge Match
The Undertaker vs. Heidenreich

This may be the surprise match of the night. Heidenrich is doing better off with this gimmick now that he did with Little Johnny. And I think Heidenrich is going to win, but not cleanly. He'll do something drastic to win. It'll be a surprise match for how well played out it'll be, I hope.

WWE Women's Championship
Trish Stratus vs. Lita
They may give this to Lita once again (am I the only one who still likes her). I love Trish as a heel, but it is really destroying her crediability as Women's Champion because it's almost become non-existant since she's held onto it. Giving it to Lita may at least inject some life into the division once more.

WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Spike Dudley vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Chavo Guerrero vs. Billy Kidman

Why is Spike with the title? I don't think he's too in that league to be holding it right now. I think Billy Kidman will win this uncleanly and further his brilliant heel gimmick, giving the fans even more of a reason to want to hate him.
