Simple message that may not be recieved to well.

After watching RAW this week, and first thinking about it on last weeks RAW. There is not a wrestler on Raw worse than Ric Flair at the moment. Not only is he puffy in the ring after five minutes at most. He doesnt go down anymore, Doesnt sell. Hasn't taken a decent move straight to the ground properly in over a year, and is pretty much sucking out the believability in wrestling one match at a time.

Orton delivers an RKO to Flair, Randy Orton cops the blame for not delivering the move properly. Am I fucking blind here? Is it not obvious to the world that Flair cant sell the move worth two shits? HHH sold it right, Batista to a point sells it right? Yet Flair makes it look fucking stupid. So not only can he not sell Ortons finisher. He goes about getting beaten up.

I dont care if this is part of his match routine, Its become totally retarded. He walks two steps, maybe three from the corner rope, stands in the middle of the ring, and we're watching in uncertainty, Is this a fuck up? Is one of them supposed to hit the other one? Nope, We have to watch Flair stand there for 2 fucking seconds before he goes down? Its not believable anymore, and takes away from the opposing wrestler.

When Flair moves around the ring he actually is starting to look (dare I say it) Out of place. He looks Stiff. He is causing other wrestlers to look dumb because he cant sell a move anymore.

If he cant even do his routine effectively, I ask you. Isn't it time that Ric Flair retires for good? Not because hes too old. Not because its his time to go. No. Because he just cant get it done in the ring anymore.

Obviously managerial roles are the way forward for him now, I bow down and praise his past greatness but this shit has got to stop.

Flair sucks plain and simple. Right now the guy is a "pos" in the ring. No doubt, he is tarnishing a nice career.

It's something that has been known for a while now. Ric Flair is not doing too good right now. He still sells good in promos, but it is in the ring that he has lost his touch. Not to mention one thing you forgot to talk about: The recent things he's said out of the ring that the internet community has picked up on being a huge play in all of this.

Maybe the face turn that's all but imminent down the road can change that. Maybe it's just time for Flair to have somewhat of a change of scenery from heel to face. If not, then maybe retirement is forseeable.

I just think he should stick to promos and leave the wrestling to the new kids. It is sad that he is supposed to be serious and powerful on the mic but when he gets in the ring, he is Doink the freakin' clown. It becomes embarrasing for all involved in his matches. Ric should just call it quits, simply put.

He's still entertaining. Is the Flair Flop stupid looking? Yes, but so was The People's Elbow and that got over pretty big. None of Hogan's offense looks real, but he made tons of money, so it obviously doesn't matter much.

As far as the RKO and Flair's selling of it, I complain about how Orton jumps into the move more than anything, so that has nothing to do with Flair. And also the move looks dumb when he does it to most other guys, so I dont see how that could be Flair's fault.

I've never been a Flair fan and probably never will be, but for you to say that in a situation with Ric Flair and Randy Orton, a "mistake" as you, a fan, not an active wrestler (or at best some indy kid who's had maybe five matches and thinks you're an expert), put it, it's automatically Ric's fault?

I'm sorry, but witht he amount of putting over Ric does, even up to this year where he's lost to guys such as Shelton Benjamin, you certainly can't say he's selfish, and until you've been on world wide TV for at least a year or two, let alone ten or fifteen, you can't say that you know Ric's job better than Ric.

Am I a fan of Flair? No. Am I willing to say he "can't sell"? Hell no. Would I be terribly upset if he retired? No. Would I be terribly excited if he stayed? No. However, while he may have plenty of reasons for retiring, criticism is not one of them.

Maybe if ya ask him nicely? :shifty:

HHH can sell it perfectly, yet when it's done to Flair it doesn't look right cos Flair goes on his side, how can that be Orton's fault when all the other wrestlers can sell it but flair can't?

I don't think Flair should leave entirely just yet, but he should definately give up wrestling in the ring, we talk about how Austin has had his runs, yet we here you same people defending Flair for staying in it so long when it is clear he is nowhere near as good as he used to be. I'm not an austin mark or anything and agree he has had his day, but surely Flair has aswell?Even the most biased Flair fan has got to agree.

I love Flair. Given, he is nowhere as good as he used to be I'd still rather watch him in the ring then most of the roster. In my perfect little world I'd even give him another world title before he does finally hang the boots up.

If you hate him so much why is he in your sig?

He probably will get like a month-2 run with the title before calling it quits.

I really enjoyed his main event on Raw with Orton a few weeks back and I actually would have no prob wit a one or two month title reign for Naitch as a parting gift. Hell even an I.C Title reign would be nice to see. As for wether he is past it, I really dont know but for the first time since the end of WCW I have found myself enjoying his work.

Basically I am happy with him on my screen.

I think it is time for him to retire, but no-selling is not one of the reasons. I just think his ass-kissing of Hunter sucks. He should leave with dignity. Not as a lackey.

He's over 50 for christ sake, of course he's not going to be as good as he was.

I still think Flair is entertaining on RAW. But like as Orton said, this generation will only remember Flair for kissing HHH's ass. He maybe the greatest wrestler of all time, but people nowadays don't know that. And by watching RAW lately, they'll probably never know that.

I'll tell you what. Take a look at Brett Favre like 2-3 years out of college. Compare that to his playing now. Fair? No, of course it's not.

Do the same for Flair. Do you have any idea how rediculous it sounds to do that? No crap he's not where he was at his prime. The man is 54 years old.

Give the guy a break. Christ.

I like Flair. ANd it would suck if he left. What I would like is if Flair stopped wrestling and become a manager of a wrestler or something. Then we'd still see him. I don't think retiring should be in the cards for Flair. Just make him a manager of a wrestler.

I still say that one of the best matches of the year was flair/batista VS Benoit/Regal at unforgiven.

Benoit and Flair chopped the FUCK out of each other, and it was brilliant!!!
I persoanlyl love Ric Flair's flops...altho, granted, they can get a bit tiresome. They are still funny as hell (and heck, we know wrestling is fake for the most part, so why not make it fun?)

I'm not a big flair fan cos i never liked WCW and i consider him to be WCW personified.

I thinlk my biggest gripe with flair is how he wrestles in trunks. Granted, all i have when i take my top off is a 1 pack!, but flair has those saggy breasts (which i guess Cosmo Kramer could help him out with...the BRO!) :D OK, now, where was I. Thats right, he wrestles in trunks. When flair wears trunks and a t-shirt, he still looks great. however, after wearing trunk, no top, and 5 mins into the match, he looks awful!

I do think its really time for flair to reduce his wrestling roles to maybe just WM21, and the occasional match to put over some1
