Is it just me or is his gimmick really screwed up?

I mean, he's telling people not to stereotype him and give him a chance and stuff.

So if people boo him, it'll make the fans, and America, look bad. Which I am sure the WWE wouldn't want to do...

I don't know if I have formulated this very well. I am not very good at explaining.... things.

I was wondering the same exact thing last week Gouda. he really doesn't seem like a heel.

haha, the Gimmick owns. Come on, can't you see? His manager is cursing the shit out of America when he speaks. That will get revealed. He's just pretending to like America, so everyone will think he's great. There are characters in movies like this all the time. Someone name a movie/TV show, cause I know I've seen that before. It's all bullshit on behalf on Hussan and his manager.

I love the guy.

Anyways, LC.... I did not come to the conclusion that his manager was cursing America when he speaks.... I just thought it must be one of those languages where they always sound angry and menacing.

Yeah as trnbucle says it means thankyou.
I remember when I was younger I got confused when I heard French people say 'merci' because I thought they were Iranian.
By the way LC is kind of right because they are pronounced slightly differently.

Dazz might get it, his mom is half Persian/Iranian and that Ay-rab Triple A might get it too.

I wish I had a recording of it, I would have my boss translate it for me, he is Iranian so he speaks Perisan, and I bet he can speak Arabic too, either that or I'm being rasist by assuming he can speak Arabic.

My mum lived in India the first 5 years of her life before moving to England, she knows as much Iranian as me. (I.E None).

My nan speaks it fluenty, but as you might have guessed I am not going to phone her and ask her to translate it.

I don't think so. What did Billy & Chuck do? And this angle isn't really that bad. It's just an Arab-American asking if he can be accepted because people have stereotyped him. I really like where this could go.

I agree, They should just talk about La Resistance, and all those anit-American gimmicks. That way they get the point over they "love" America, and stay away from controversy.

I could tell you that this guy is a great worker. At the last show at MSG, I saw him in a dark match with Val Venis before Heat went on the air. He isn't a bad worker, but he drew awesome heat.

Then again, we WERE in New York City. An Arab wrestler couldn't get over as a face there if he threw $100 bills off the roof of MSG.

Well PWInsider had a translation of what Hassan's manager was saying on RAW last night.... and he was NOT cursing America. He was, in fact, translaing what Hassan said into Farsi.

So, yeah. When people boo them I'll be thinking "stupid people. He told you NOT to stereotype!"

Well...

i havent seen raw for over a month cos of exams...
but, i dont like the sound of this new guy

It really shits me that the WWE can only seem to garner heat through racism atm.
The only decent heels who exhibit no racism atm are Team Angle, evolution (incl edge and snitsky) and Christian

I think its kinda pathetic

and btw, did the wwe ever end up signing that egyptian wrestler...cos if they did, i'm presuming he'll join these two guys

hmmm, interesting. I still think he's going to curse out America in one segment and then get caught doing it.

And with Kenzo Susuki, everyone knew he was pretending. With Hussan, he comes off as legit to the crowd. Susuki is a comedy act.

Like Ive said before (on here I think) this angles exposes how racist Americans are.

Hassan shows up on screen, looking like an Arab, immediately the crowd boos.

I know its just a wrestling angle, but its funny how stuff like this can be a window into reality, sad reality, but reality nonetheless.

I agree. I absolutely hate it when the WWE "faces" given airtime completely agree with the crowd as well. They showed footage of the French President and George Bush shaking hands and JR acted like "It's good to see the French make up for being cowards and not helping with the war.". This pissed me off to no end, I felt like throwing a brick at my TV. Why should France help with America's hissy-fit? And don't get me stared when Bubba Ray goes "We hate them because they're French!", as if that was a completely justifiable reason (I really don't think that's what Bubba Ray thought, but it just came out really wrong).

Anyway if the fans boo I will really be saddened. Maybe they could have a translator come in and reveal that Khasrow wasn't cursing America, but praising it, which then forces the RAW fans, etc. to "apologize" to Muhammad Hassan. Then we can see a heel turn. It isn't a "We hate America so you hate us" gimmick, it's more of a "You hate us, so we hate you" gimmick.

Actually the crowd didn't boo until they said "Praise Allah" at the end. Personally, every time I see him and he says "Don't judge me" I'm like "Ok." and then he keeps talking, and I'm like "Ok, just shut up and show a match or something..." and then they go though the translation and I get bored and hate him so I'll have something to do.

Alienoid, HE IS A HEEL. Come on, he's an Arab who stresses praising Allah. You're asking to get booed in America with a gimmick like that. He's been getting tremendous heat at house shows for doing this little ritual before matches where he prays.

Persian's aren't Arabs, Persians distrust Arabs.
I'm not trying to sound like a dick but I'm not Arabic, we don't speak Arabic, we speak Farsi.
Sorry to take this out on you LC because I know you don't mean it in a harmful way.

He has been getting heat, but since he's been on RAW, he's been completely innocent and faceish. At the moment I'd call him a face getting race related heat. That could all change when he actually debuts, though.
