This comes straight out of these weeks Observer, in which they had a very elaborate section discussing TNA.
*First a reminder that tommorrow (11/10) and Thur (11/11) TNA will air on the "Best Dam Sports Show." on Fox Sports Net. Not sure of the time, so you guys will have to check that. Probably like 8 or 9 EST. This was taped before the PPV, so don't expect Hall, Nash and Savage. Looking at the show, it looks pretty good. Styles vs Abyss, 5 man X-Title match, Jarrett/Hardy (Cage) and some other matches. Piper will also be there. This is TNA's chance to draw some casual fans into thier product.
*Mentions this week, 11/7-11/11 will be a "key turning point" in the company's history.
*TNA first started out wanting 55,000 buys for thier weekly PPV's, then they cut it down to 20,000. Only a few shows have only topped that number
*TNA usually did 5,000-13,000 buys weekly. THE BUYS PEAKED DURING THE NWA VS S.E.X. STORYLINE. So you see from that what I have been trying to say. Fans tune in more for the storylines then for the wrestling matches. I consider myself more like a casual fan as I don't really want to see 25 min matches every week. I'd rather see interviews, backstage stuff, development of storylines and then some good wrestling to top that off.
*Said TNA made many mistakes over the years, including making a lot of enemies within the business. Said TNA could of been this generations ECW.
*From a Financial standpoint, the Observer mentioned that TNA has lost more money over the past two years, then ECW did over 7 years. But the key to TNA is the company which is backing them financially. They have stuck with TNA, even though TNA continued to lose money.
*Back to then NWA VS SEX, it said that the company's hottest point was when Raven first came in and feuded with Jarrett. Said that Raven should have definately went over Jarrett in that angle for the Title and when he didn't, fans lost faith in Raven as a "main guy."
*Finally, said that if Victory Road can do 20,000 buys, it would be considered a success. They predict 12,000. I'm predicitng at least 25,000 based on the buzz surroudning the PPV the final week going into it over the net.
*Also said that at $19.95 (which I would have paid) they would of generated more money. This was based on a poll on thier website and more people said they would of bought the $19.95 show. We will never know for sure though if it would of made more of a profit.
Well that's basically the TNA story. We'll see how they did with their PPV (which IMO is/was a better show then Survivor Series will be) this week.

Good work. I'm glad TNA seem to have a winning formula now. If they keep al there PPV cards packed to the rim with non-stop main event quality stuff, I think TNA's PPV buyrates will go up, while the WWE's will slowly decrease. Unless the WWE does what they seem to be doing now, and making pretty good cards (I'm definately ordering Survivor Series).

I'm with you. I remember ordering TNA A LOT MORE often when the S.E.X. storyline was going on. Then it just sort of dropped off, and none of their angles have really grabbed me since. Which is a shame. I stopped watching Impact by the end of the summer.
But with what happened at the PPV and this "key turning point", I'm certainly gonna tune in for the next few weeks and see what is up.
I would have paid $19.95 as well...do you think there is any chance that their next PPV could possibly have a price drop? I doubt it...but it would be nice, although if they keep me entertained until then, I may just purchase the next one if it is the same price.

Here is a press release on TNA airing on Best Damn Sports show tommorrow. Everyone should try to check this out.
- The word making the rounds among the TNA wrestlers is that the edited version of the Best Damn Sports Show specials that will air on Wednesday and Thursday this week on Fox Sports Net are said to look awesome. Mike Johnson over at PWInsider.com made a great point earlier today that despite many ignoring TNA on the internet today, you could really help out the promotion by watching the specials this week.
I think many understand that the Friday 3pm timeslot makes it hard for many to check out Impact! every Friday on Fox Sports Net. Add in the rather high $29.95 price for Victory Road this past Sunday, I can yet again understand why people don't go out of their way to check it out. This week you basically don't have an excuse because the programming is free on Fox Sports Net and on during primetime hours. Boosting ratings for these specials could only strengthen the company's chances of a better timeslot (possibly on Monday night) and force the WWE to improve their product since they haven't had competition for quite a few years. We will have full results of both specials on the site later this week, which were taped a few weeks back in Orlando.
Best Damn Sports Show Period & TNA Wrestling Team Up for Primetime
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- FSN's Best Damn Sports Show Period will air two 90-minute professional wrestling specials in conjunction with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling called "Best Damn Wrestling Events Ever."
The shows air November 10 & 11 at 8 p.m. (check local listings) and are part of a week long celebration of professional wrestling called "Best Damn Wrestling Week Period."
The stars of BDSSP: Tom Arnold, John Salley, Bryan Cox, Chris Rose and LeeAnn Tweeden will all get a crash course in professional wrestling from the TNA wrestling superstars --- some more than others.
Actor and BDSSP co-host Tom Arnold is scheduled to referee a hardcore "Midget Match."
"I've been with a lot of big women, but never with little men. It's going to be a new and exciting experience for me," said Arnold.
Former NFL Pro-Bowl linebacker Bryan Cox has recently had a "war of words" with TNA superstar and former NFL player Monty Brown. Who knows what will happen when these gridiron greats step into the six-sided ring?
Chris Rose will be the special guest in the infamous segment known as, "In the Pit with Piper," hosted by the unpredictable wrestling legend, Rowdy Roddy Piper.
Total Nonstop Action Wrestling's weekly show, "iMPACT!" airs Fridays on FSN at 3:00 p.m. (check local listings).
"Our relationship with FSN has been a great one," said Dixie Carter, President TNA Entertainment. "We are happy to welcome 'Best Damn Sports Show Period' to the 'iMPACT! Zone' and look forward to showcasing both programs' talented stars in these specials."
The alternative for the true wrestling fan, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling prides itself on delivering quality, family programming that is clean, innovative, cutting edge and with the high-risk, high-flying athleticism that TNA Wrestling is known for. Total Nonstop Action Wrestling "iMPACT!" airs Fridays at 3:00 p.m. on FSN (check local listings). TNA "Xplosion" is a syndicated program (check local listings). TNA Wrestling pay-per-views are available on iN DEMAND, DIRECTV, DISH Network, TVN, Viewers Choice Canada, Bell ExpressVu and Shaw Communications. oh and to answer Boondock's ?, I seriously doubt they will change the price for the next PPV. They might down the line if the buyrates continue to drop. We have to wait until later this week when the numbers come out just to see how well they did though.

I still have no faith in them. And the results of the PPV makes me have even less. I mean who went in there and went "I got it, we'll rehash the NWO, but this time we'll use Jarrett as the leader!!! Thats money!". Seriously, they're doomed.
A promotion centered around Jeff Jarrett will NEVER succeed.
There's no getting around that from where I sit.

With Savage no longer with them, I can see some actual good coming out of this. I hope the Turning Point card looks something like this:
Six-Man Tag Team Match
Special Guest Referee: Diamond Dallas Page
Jeff Jarrett, Kevin Nash & Scott Hall vs. BG James, Ron Killings & Monty Brown
Winners: BG James, Ron Killlings & Monty Brown via pinfall.
Ultimate X
Petey Williams vs. Jeff Hardy vs. AJ Styles vs. Michael Shane
Winner: No Contest. Kevin Nash takes the belt with Scott Hall's help.
Christmas Carnage Match
Raven vs. Abyss
Winner: Raven via pinfall.
Retribution Match
Rikishi vs. Dallas
Winner: Rikishi via pinfall.
Coconut Match
Jimmy Snuka vs. Kid Kash
Winner: Kid Kash.
Six Sides of Steel
America's Most Wanted vs. Triple X
Winners: Triple X.
#1 Contendership for the X-Title
Hector Garza vs. Frankie Kazarian
Winner: Hector Garza via pinfall.
10-Man Tag Team Match
The Amazing Red, Shark Boy, D-Ray 3000, Chris Sabin & Pat Kenney vs. Johnny Swinger, Glen Gilberti, Big Vito, Chase Stevens & Andy Douglas
Winners: Johnny Swinger, Glen Gilberti, Big Vito, Chase Stevens & Andy Douglas via pinfall.
Trinity's Challenge
Trinity vs. Gail Kim
Winner: Gail Kim via pinfall.
Angles:
-Johnny Stamboli joins the New York Connection.
-Chris Sabin gets pissed off at The Amazing Red and the other faces.
-Frankie Kazarian is pissed because he lost.
-The Naturals & The New York Connection run down and prevent either team from escaping the cage (the only way to win the match). They let the teams beat themselves to a pulp, and then let Triple X match up the score continueing this rivalry rather than ending it.
-Roddy Piper & Jimmy Snuka gets pissed when Dallas interferes on behalf of his cousin, so they bring in Rikishi to destroy Dallas.
-Jim Mitchell joins Raven, thus leading to a promise of a new Gathering.
-Billy Gunn runs in and Fame Assers the now heel DDP, and forces him to count the three when BG James pins Nash for three. Billy Gunn takes all four championships in possession of The Outsiders and leaves with the faces.

Agree with you on a promotion centered on Jarrett will nevr succeed.
But I don't know, they drew me into watching Impact this week and with some of my friends, who aren't net fans, I told them what happened with Hall and Nash and told them they would be on Impact this week and they said they definately had to check that out.
I think Hall and Nash have a huge fanbase, which includes myself. People like to see them together.
I have a problem with Jarrett though. He has no fan base. I think they should put somebody else in that group and kick Jarrett out. Preferably one of the younger guys. Nash and Hall can say that they know they're not going to be around much longer and they need one of the youner guys to pass the torch too to keep the "nWo" in tact or whatever.
Styles, I would keep him baby, cause to me he's thier franchise and should be doing a "Sting" right know
Possibilities I would go with would be Kash, Williams, Kazarian, Shane (HBK's nephew or whatever, so that would work) or maybe Chris Harris. Break up AMW and have Harris become like a Shawn Michaels.
If they don't go that way, I would have one of the young guys join Hall, Nash, and Jarrett and then down the line there is conflict between the young guy and Jarrett, which leads to Hall and Nash turning on Jarrett and declaring the "young guy" the new leader.
