View Full Version : Great Promo By Nash (Impact Spoiler)

Anybody catch the Nash/Jarrett promo. Excellent stuff. Nash always delievers on the mic. He based his whole promo around reality. Talked about the Kliq, nWo, how he sucks at wrestling and just does it for the money, how everyone hated him/Kliq, how he booked WCW. Good Stuff. I love when they bring behind the scenes stuff into their promos.
Some guy in the crowd yelled out something like "Why don't you wrestle."
Nash: "Obviously you haven't seen my career"
Stable is called "Kings of Wrestling."

yeah, it also went well over double the time they allowed for the promo, cutting MATCHES short.
But yeah, Nash is golden on the mic when he half-shoots.

LOL... hilarious. What was he supposed to be doing that made bashing himself appropriate?

The fan probably just wanted to see some wrestling and not Nash on the mic.

What is Hardy doing now after he lost the title match?
No clue, but I assume he's going to aid in the fight against "The Kings of Wrestling".
Is DDP a King? Or is he just a guy on his own?
Loose Cannon

DDP is on his own like he always should be.

 What a double team. Hardy backdropped one of the Naturals right to Styles, who hit the Clash.
Also I like Hall/Nash's music
Yeah great Impact. Good to hear Nash telling it like it is, and not just cutting some promo with himself claiming he's an icon or something.
I don't think Nash or Hall are gonna fool anybody in the ring seeing how Nash is going gray and growing Ric Flair tits, and Hall gained about 50 pounds. The Outsiders can still generate heat.

Nash is very good at coming up with stuf on the spot.
Oh and when Nash came out and took the mic, he was like, "This is going to be a little bit foreign to me because somebody didn't hand me a script when I walked through the curtain."
Then he goes, "I guess I'm just supposed to say what I want."

I haven't seen Impact in a while...so who is this Mystery man with Abyss? Do we know...or any speculations?
Plus, is DDP gonna wrestle? I thought his neck was pretty messed up, hence why he retired.
i wonder if the pandas are going to sue nash over saying wwf, with all the nash talking there was still more wrestling in an hour then all of raw.

I think he was warned not to continue, but after a while he has now decided to return. I still have fantasies about DDP returning to SmackDown! as a commentator or manager. Maybe we could see him do something similiar in TNA if he can't/doesn't want to wrestle. I think he could be paired with a repackaged "Diamond" Pat Kenney.

I saw Impact!. But besides the promo and DDP/Raven rekindling their feud it wasn't all that special. And everyone lately has been really high on TNA just because of one angle they're doing. Well yeah this angle is great and all for now but don't get your hopes up.. TNA is sure to drop the ball somehow thus turning the angle extremely boring to watch (like when everyone was sick of the nWo never losing/ keeping the World Heavyweight Title forever).
P.S.- Monty Brown is getting better, he's been using suplexes and more heavyweight style wrestling. His finisher however is still lame and is just there for his gimmick.

And way to kill the good mood going here

I know he's cool with X-pac, but I think his role in the WWE should be indicative of how much influence he had/has.

yea, Credible was just an associate. Spicolli was just freinds with Hall is story.

Didn't see the show, so my comments may have no relevance (ah who am I kidding?).
I hate when they try to talk about things like "writing" when it comes to PRO WRESTLING ANGLES. Thats so Vince Russo, and we all see where he took WCW with that mentality.
Most people know wrestling is scripted by now, but they also dont want it thrown in their face during the body of the show. People in a TNA crowd may pop for it, but thats decieving because there are only like 500 people there, and they are all hardcore, intnernet smarks who eat that stuff up. But if TNA is to survive they need more than those people, they need to reach the casual audience.
I believe history has shown when you take that route, with all the insider stuff, people get turned off because they dont get half of what is being talked about.
The idea of bringing in all the dinosours is probably an attempt to draw in the average viewer, but what are the odds each one of these guys will put over (properly) a young TNA star that could use a rub? I figure DDP will be alright doing JOBS, but I know how Halla dn Nash operate, and I think they will end up being more bad than good for the company. But we'll see.
If they were smart they would play off the deal at Universal Studios. The fans that attend TNA events will know what happened. So there should be signs in the arena, and whatnot. I'm not sure how far they will be able to go with it on TV, because of a potential lawsuit, but they should go as close to the edge as possible. At the end of the day, if they do get sued and go out of business who really cares because that was likely to happen anyway. Maybe by going after the WWE, and talking about how the WWE are the big bad bullies who dont care about anything except money, they can build themselves up as the outlaw renegdae company much like ECW did, and even the way WWE presented themselves against Time Warner and WCW, even though that was BS.

I agree, 100%. I hope Nash & Hall don't really wrestle unless it is PPV. Keep them as the enforcers and advertise their wrestling appearances. Maybe give them the tag titles and let them defend them every three weeks or so.

LOL are you daft? Giving Hall and Nasjh the tag belts would be STUPID, expecially considering how hot the AMW/XXX feud is.

I think Nash's promo was good, I was pleasantly surprised. I expected him to hurt his wrist or something before he finished his promo. As long as he and Scott don't wrestle every show, then I will be ok.
I like where the show is heading, as TNA does know that popularity is growing and that they have the better storylines than their competitor (it also helps when you have old school wrestlers) . All the stories have advanced so quicker and unexpectedly but in a good way. Keep it up, TNA. Oh, and get ready to feel the BANG!
