WWE.com announced today that Linda Miles, who performed as Shaniqua as a valet to the Basham Brothers tag team on Smackdown... and more recently returned to Ohio Valley Wrestling was released by WWE; in spite of public statements that no further releases of performers was to take place at this time.

I'm a little bit more upset about her leaving, because I was hoping to see her on RAW in the women's division. I hope her the best, but I don't expect her to stick around in wrestling unless it is in a bitter role.

She was too big. It would be another Chyna situation, where there would be literally no competition for her. I suppose if the WWE imported wrestlers like Bull Nakano or Dump Matsumoto again, she might have had legitimate competition.

That was what I was thinking. Shaniqua could have been the Chyna that was built around the women's division. I would have really enjoyed a Trish Stratus vs. Shaniqua feud (that is if Linda Miles can actually wrestle).

I hope they bring in a female Japanese wrestler or two. The women's division is in quite the tag team scenario at the moment.

Bull Nakano was the man.

Bull Nakano was the man.
Quite possibly both figuratively and literally.

it's funny how her last moment in the WWE was being squashed by Rikishi after getting her breast "swollen" by Bradshaw's clothesline from hell

As much as I'd like to, I can't really say I'm gonna miss Shaniqua.
Although she could have added something to the Womens Division. I'm actually suprised at her release though, as I would have thought the recent firings of Jazz, Gail Kim and Nidia would have meant the women from OVW would be coming up, so I was expecting to see Shaniqua on Raw! within the next few months. Meh, not too fussed really...

While I can't say she's much of a loss, she did at a lot to the Bashams tag team. Without her, the team is without focus.

I agree. They should have kept the latex attire. Anyway, I think the Bashams are regaining steam now that they seem to be the bickering brothers that get it done in the ring.
