Can you possibly vote for anyone else as the NFL mvp? The guy has 31 td's and nearly 3000 yards with 7 to go. Unless he gets injured he's on pace to abliterate the Marino TD record and possibly go after his single season passing yards record. Not to mention he's gunna probably end with the best single season QB passer rating ever.

Can there be a case made for anyone else?

What if the Colts don't make the playoffs?

Intresting thought Icon. But i think of like this. The more horrible that defense plays the more Manning needs to do to win games. He's got 31 td's and there 6-3. That = MvP to me.

Plus i doubt the colts lose 5 games from here on out. There Offense is just flat out unstopable. When there D plays like they did today, theres no way in hell they dont win a SuperBowl. Ofcourse i doubt the Defense looks that great for the rest of the year.

I think he is the greatest QB of all time. I know people like to suck Montanas cock, but Manning is unstoppable.

I only wish the O line would get more credit. Imagine being 300+ pounds and having to sit there in the 3point stance and remain disciplined while Manning is barking dummy signals for 30 seconds. Then hauling ass once the ball is snapped. Its pretty amazing to watch. I feel privaleged to be in Indianapolis and get to see these guys(particulary Manning ) perform every sunday. Gives you storys to tell your future kids about maybe the greatest QB to play the game. Like the shoot out in the Dome between him and Farve. That will be a great story to tell.

Peyton Manning is becoming even more of the man after some of the recent commercials he is doing. He's like breaking out and becoming even more of a public icon, he's the next big thing!

He will retire as the greatest QB ever and he'll probably hold like, every passing record ever invented.

Also if and when he breaks Dan Marino's TD record, he's a lock for MVP.

Could you imagine him playing with, say, the Ravens' D? The team would be so incredibly disgustingly sick that no human would be able to move out of pure shock that such a force exists in the world.

Peyton is the best qb in the league right now but you also have to credit the players indy has put around him. He wouldn't be as good if he didn't have a good back like Edge. He works so well with the play action and if he didn't have a good running game, that would limit, to an extent, the long ball. And it doesn't hurt that he has a 5 quality receivers on his team. I don't think he'd do as well if he had the Ravens WRs, but albeit he'd probably give them better numbers than Boller is giving them.

When he is chanting "Cut that meat!" he looks like he has down syndrome though.

Yeah Apprentice beat me to it, he has arguably the best 1-2-3 recievers in the game as well as a really good running back, so its not like the Colts would be the Dolphins if he was gone.

But recievers are payed to catch balls not drop them. Its not his fault his recievers are effiecient. Tho i see your point.

How bout on Monday night when they needed a first down to run the clock down or the vikings probably would have gotten the ball with 1:15 on the clock. Manning Switches hands when a D Lineman is steamrolling towards him and flips the ball to Edge with his left hand. Normal QB's dont have that awareness or ability.

Also alot of credit for his numbers has to be given because of his ability to step to the line and read the coverages and change out of a play and into another that will allow him to make a throw to a open reciever.

All the all time greats had great players around them. Montana, Marino ect. I think Manning has made Wayne and Stokely and Pollard better. Not the other way around. IMO

Well obviously its not his fault that his recievers are good. There's no doubt he is probably one of the best quarterbacks of all time (or at least will be when he retires), but you can not tell me that his team isn't a huge part of that. Do you think Ben Roethlesburger would be having this success if he was throwing to the same people say Kyle Boeller was? So of course he is one of the best QB's, but if he played on Miami's offense right now and had drastically less numbers, what would #1 Fan say then? In football your stats are all pretty much based around who you have on your team, and Payton is the best technical quarterback with the best offensive weapons in the league, so of course his stats will be high.

Manning is on fire no new story here. I just hope the D can play good enough to get through the EXTREMELY competitive AFC.
GO COLTS!

Edgerin is a tad overrated. He's good and all but I don't think Peyton would struggle without him. (See the Monday Night game in Tampa last year.)
