The Steroid Trial?

What was the steroid trail all about? I know that Hogan, while he was in WCW, testified against Vince, and that Vince had to hand the majority (or whole) of the company over to Linda so he wouldn't lose it. What was the backstory/whole story on it?

they tried to get Vince on selling/distributing, I believe.

This guy George Zahorian used to be a doctor for WWF. He was giving all of the guys steroids, and got convicted on it I believe. This lead into an investigation on Vince, & a big trial where he was indicted on possession/conspiracy to sell steroids.

Tons of guys were called in to testify, like Hogan, Studd, Nailz, Rick Rude and a shit load of others. After everything went down, he was ultimately acquitted.

Also, Hogan's testimony really helped Vince - instead of hurting him. If Hogan had said (which may have been the truth) that Vince gave him the steroids, or told him to take them - Vinnie Mac might have been sitting behind bars until WM30.

Also Vinny Mac got out of it because the prosicuiters had the wrong dates for everything. Like that had packages of roids that were delievered to arenas the day after WWF was there and stuff like that. The case was really sloppy on their part.

LOL at Nailz too. Here's a tip, if you have a grudge against someone, don't testify in court or better yet, don't say that you hate then while testifying in court
