It was cool like 10 years ago, but now meh another big budget FX movie. I mean give me a break they fly into an alien ship, NUKE it, and still manage to get out alive.

I dunno, when it came out I enjoyed it.
The alternate ending is better, where the guy flies the crop duster in to kill the aliens.

That isn't the alternate ending, it's a scene in the regular movie.

It's pretty shit really.
Although if Bill Pullman was president instead of dubya the World would be a better place.
But Will Smith should die instead of Harry Connick Jr

I love this movie... Despite it's obvious American propaganda and its total ignoring of Canada.

I enjoyed it when it came out, granted I was in Sixth Grade at the time, but I did like it, and well, while I do have it on DVD....it will be a rare occusion when I actually pull it out to watch it, much like another overrated Action movie, like xXx

I usually see the movie at least once a year because around July 4th almost every channel seems to play it.... and I have nothing better to do.
And it's got TWO people from Donnie Darko in it!

You're complainging about that when the most obvious thing is that THEY ARE IN A SPACESHIP.

What has Independence Day to do with hacking? Any school kid with access to the web can send a virus to your system nowadays (as long as your mothership runs on Windows).
