Alright, so he goes from wrestling on heat for the past three years, to main eventing at survivor series. The only way Maven being in that match would have made any sense at all is if he would have turned heel and joined evolution like I had predicted. Nope. So last night on raw, we get the offer from Triple H, and I think ok, maven is going to turn on benoit and jericho at the very end. Nope. So instead it seems they will start a program between maven and snitsky. Theres a novel idea:

J.R.-OK Vince, now that we've established snitsky as a threat by having him take out one of the most dominant big men in the company, lets think of a new opponent. Another upper tier guy like benoit or jericho.

Vince-....Naaahhh. Hey maven's not doing anything, right?

On the plus side, after watching maven wrestle a bah gawd awful match against triple H, it seems he hasn't improved at all in those three and a half years. So maybe it's for the better.

Yes, it was an awful match. Maybe they should change Maven into an Adrian Barbobot with lasers for eyes and buzzsaw hands.

Granted it was his biggest match to date, and it could have been his nerves, but still, those were almost Jaquie Gayda level fuck ups he was making.

Oh and bdc, thanks for the heads up, and not saying something like:
YoU sTup8id @#$%@^, sa3ty **SpOILERs u $#^%$*(ing DummAS3S

what's so bad about Maven?
i havent seen raw this week, but from what i've seen of maven, he's ok.

I'd say he's probably only a few steps behind orton in regards to wrestling skill. and remember that orton has had everything handed to him on a plate.

Give maven time, i think he has the capacity to be a real top class performer

Your right it wasn't a good match, but it was a great main event. They had all the people interfereing in the match which I really enjoyed. I had several mark out moments during the match.

back to being a midcard face for ole maven.

I wouldnt class him as a midcarder atm
low midcarder more like it.

I read on knowyournews.com that he actually did a pretty good job, particuarly on the mic

He was entertaining in his GM role, but his match was pretty bad. They saved it with a hot finish, but he and Trips were both blowing moves all over the place. I have never seen anyone sell a dropkick worse than Hunter did last night.

Actually HHH is pretty high on Maven, he even gave Maven his first pair of wrestling boots. No way Maven is going anywhere.

HHH is high on Maven because there's no way Maven will ever show him up.

I really think that the fact that Maven is being showcased at the same time as the latest Tough Enough competition is no coincidence. That being said, I think Maven has a lot of potential, and WWE are smart to keep him around. Aside from making the whole Tough Enough concept seem like a bit of a success, he can put on a pretty good performance when called on, and has better mic skills than about a third of the Raw roster. If they do decide to turn him heel, a Maven/Benjamin feud ought to be pretty enjoyable.
