I saw Isis live for the third time the other night.

HOLY SHIT. They just keep getting better. I took a couple pictures from my camera phone, so maybe I'll post them later.

But yeah, Isis puts on one HELL of a show. I guess you could say they'd fit in the genre of gloom metal, kinda sludgy as well.

They're on same label as The Melvins...

Aaron Turner, singer and guitarist is now my metal hero

Anybody wanting a taste of what they sound like, listen to any song off of their albums Celestial, Oceanic or Panopticon. Amazing shit, every single song.

You bastard, they're mine, only I can love them. :'(

Excellent band though, Panopticon's easily one of my top 3 albums of the year. Should be seeing them for the third time when they head back here in April.

Although you probably got the better tour bill, I want These Arms Are Snakes too. :(

I like Isis a lot. Great guitar work, mellow and powerful music. Panopticon rules, but I still like Oceanic more. One of the major problems I have with Isis, though, is their drummer. If they had a drummer who didn't play an easy 4/4 beat with absolutely fills for ten minutes, they would be considerably better.
