They have nothing else for them. We saw them as the Smack Down Tag Champs and no one cared. We saw them with Shaniqua.... and no one cared. We saw them being whipped... and some people cared (Funky, BDC, LC, SheltonRules, etc).

I have heard they had an awesome blood feud in OVW. The fans need a reason to cheer for these guys. Most people still do not know who the hell they are but it would be good TV if they just start fighting each in a bitter feud. One of them could take the US strap from Carlito if he gets it stripped due to his injury. They could feud over that. The feud could make or break them and I think the WWE might as well and try to see if these guys have the 'IT' factor in terms of good wrestling matches and their ability to impress the crowd.

These guys need something or its release time for them.

Thoughts?

They've been teasing a split on Velocity for the last two weeks. I'm all for it. I don't want to see these guys get the Billy Gunn/Chuck Palumbo/Johnny Stamboli/Gail Kim/Jazz/Rico/Shaniqua/A-Train/etc. treatment.

Then change I think is it Danny's(?) name to Damaja.

The thing is, no-one really gives a shit about them as they appear as a really bland tag team. A feud between the two would no doubt produce good matches, but would ultimatly bomb... :(

yea, the plan is for them to feud as of right now. One of them has longer hair now or so I hear

Don't even make me think about the possibility of them feuding. They were fantastic in OVW, and if the WWE chickens out, I will be sad. :(

I remember how excited I was that Damaja was going to be in the Royal Rumble but it was all a work.

^ I was so pissed about that. I had been hearing so many good things about Damaja, and was waiting forward to seeing him in the Rumble, then I read about the storyline in OVW. Very frustrating.

which storyline is that loopy?

i have heard good stuff about the bashams. I didnt mind their character with Shaniqua. however, once she left, they just became a couple of crome domes with jeans on

...Rocky Johnson talked about being here in OVW and getting to train the guys who want to go to the WWE in the near future, then talked about his son The Rock, and talked about The Rock being in movies, etc.. The Damaja and Jackie Gayda then made their way to the ring, Damaja talked about being in the Royal Rumble, then started talking about Rocky's son the Rock. The Soul Man didn't like what Damaja was saying and slugged him. Then the Soul Man went after Jackie and thats where the Damaja attacked Rocky Johnson. Tom Pritchard then tried to stop Damaja from beating down Rocky Johnson but the Damaja gave him the Brain Damage, then threw Jimmy out of the ring, and thats where the OVW Security made their way out where they either got a Brain Dmage or a beat down from the Damaja. Damaja and Jackie then left the ringside area immediately as the cameras went to a commercial break.

When they came back from the break, Dean Hill was at the announcers desk and told the audience that Jimmy was on the phone in the back with someone from WWE. Everyone at home and in the arena then found out who the conversation was with as they heard the telephone conversation over the speakers between Jim Cornette and Jim Ross. Jim Cornette stated that what Damaja did in the ring earlier in the show and said it was uncalled for. Jim Ross then did what he considered was 'best' and announced Damaja would be taken out of this Sunday's WWE Royal Rumble. After that was said, Jimmy came back to the announcers table to join Dean and all of a sudden the Revolution's music blares across the loudspeakers. Out came the Damja and Jackie Gayda with the OVW title and bags, and other things in hand. Damaja was extremely upset at what just occured, he said some uncalled for words, and that's where he went nuts and started breaking the monitors, throwing chairs, throwing milk crates; one milk crate landed in the ring and the other one hit the camera guy. He then went and knocked the announcers desk over. Just before Jackie Gayda and he left, he said the WWE, OVW, Danny Davis, and Jim Cornette can all shove it because he is Quitting OVW. This sent parts of the crowd cheering and some of them booing at the events that just took place!!

OVW has some messed up story lines.

Doug Basham could do something with the The Revolution after that. Bring in Johnny Spade, Johnny Nitro, Melina and Danny Inferno, or maybe swap around Nitro, Melina & Inferno for Mike & Mark Bell. Then you can have Damaja against them, only for Damaja to gain help in the form of Charlie Haas (who is enraged after Doug Basham tries to get Miss Jackie to join The Revolution).

A Doug vs. Danny feud would be great, but I think they should have Doug Basham lead a small stable as well, so maybe we can have that slot in the tag team division filled. Another idea is for Doug Basham to join Kurt Angle, Luther Reigns & Mark Jindrak. That would have to be done right, though. I personally think Doug Basham would be great in a "classy" version of the nWo type gimmick.

I don’t want to get my hopes up with ideas and suggestions for WWE thinking they might do it but I kind of think it’s a good idea,. Maybe the WWE should scrape the tag titles on Smackdown, Bashams go to RAW, fued with La Resistance, bring the tag teams from Smackdown to RAW and have RAW be the home base for the tag titles cause Smackdown has the cruiserweight division, Raw should have the tag team division, that would bring more meaning back to the tag titles.

I really like the Bashams. I don't like how the WWE is doing jack shit with the tag team divisions right now. The Smackdown tag champs weren't on Smackdown for at least two weeks. It's gotten so bad I forget who the champs are and have to think about it.

I think the Basams should stay together.

hmm im liking the idea of scrapping the tag division on SD! but you would have to move the dudleys to raw aswell. But if that can be done, then that would be a good idea imo. No need for two sets of tag titles when the tag division is as dead as it ever has been.

As for the original topic, i would hate to see that feud as i couldn't careless about them. They need some sorta gimmick to make it interesting, i dunno what but until they can think of something rather than just a normal feud then they can stay off my TV.

Oh yeah and i just realised the tag champs havent been on SD! for two weeks if not more, what the fuck is up with that?

I think the Basham Brothers might have something doing with their "bickering brothers" gimmick. They're the two wrestlers who don't personally get along the best, but in the ring they're as close as they can be.

RAW
William Regal & Eugene Dinsmore
La Resistance
Rhyno & Tajiri
The Hurricane & Rosey

SmackDown!
Rene Dupree & Kenzo Suzuki
The Dudleys
The Basham Brothers
Rob Van Dam & Rey Mysterio
Luther Reigns & Mark Jindrak

The sad thing is, most of those tag teams are someone & someone teams. Only The Dudleys, La Resistance & The Basham Brothers have a tag team identity. I like the idea of the tag champs appearing on both shows, but I still have hope for seperate tag team divisions.

RAW
William Regal & Eugene Dinsmore
La Resistance
The Man Beast & The Japanese Buszzsaw
The Justice Union (The Hurricane & Rosey)
Muhammad Hassan & Khasrow Daivari (Give them a name like "America's Greatest Tag Team" in Persian or Arabic)
The Canadian Chrissade (or a much better name)
Gene Snitsky & Eric Bischoff/Jonathan Coachman (as a part-time thing)

Here are some other possibilities:
The Christian Solution (Christian & Tyson Tomko)
Christian & Joey Matthews (Representing the Christian Coalition)
The Disciples of Synn (Tyson Tomko & Kevin Fertig maybe under the name of Seven with Synn, as servants to either Christian, Edge, Batista or Kane)
The Tomko Brothers (Tyson Tomko & Benny Dredd, representing the Christian Coalition)
Joey Matthews & Benjamin Tomko (Joey Matthews & Benny Dredd)

SmackDown!
Rene Dupree & Kenzo Suzuki
The Dudleys
RVD & REY (or maybe call them RVD-619)
Kaientai (Funaki & Akio)
The Bells (Mike & Mark Bell)
Carlito Caribbean Cool & Jesus
Los Guerreros
The Shooting Stars
Luther Reigns & Mark Jindrak
Hott Shotts (Johnny Nitro & Danny Inferno with Melina)
Scotty 2 Hotty & Shannon Moore
Johnny Spade & Johnny Jeter/or someone else from OVW (representing The Revolution)

These are just some of the possibilities of the tag team divisions on both brands.

Is Dupree still stuck in midcard/tag team hell carrying Kenzo 'poop' Suzuki to half decent tag matches?

It wouldnt suprise me if sometime in the near future they just scrapped the Tag belts alltogether.

I don't want them to but i wouldnt be suprised.

Bashams = shit break

I do agree in that I think the tag titles should be on one brand, cruiserweights on another.

Both are really good wrestlers, though. Seriosuly, in a few years when a new "era" has been established, I really think Danny & Doug will be a part of it. Maybe we could even see Machine & Prototype back together again?

Just a quick question, are Danny & Doug actually brothers? I always assumed they weren't, but both getting trained in Ohio, looking very similiar and having a blood feud in OVW make sme think that they might be brothers, or at least cousins or something.

Can someone help me out here?

No, keep em together for now. For people to give a shit about a tag team breaking up, they have to give a shit about the tag team in the first place, which is what the WWE needs to focus on right now.
