Just curious about what people think of kurt angle currently?

- maybe its cos i prefer him as a face, i'm not sure, but i really dislike him right now. Its like his character has gone too serious. He used to be an awesome wrestler with a goofy character (giving Taker a scooter :D , spraying the alliance with milk etc...). Now he's just too serious in my opinion.

other opinions.....?

I always preferred him when he was "mixed." Like, he'd be cutting up with E&C in the locker room, then he'd go out and break somebody's ankle in his match.

Personally, I think a person who seems really nice but is actually violent is a lot scarier than someone who just goes around going "Grrr, I'm mean! I'm gonna kick your ass!" That's why Waylon Mercy was awesome...for a month.

On the other hand, how great would a character whose catchphrase is "Grrr, I'm mean! I'm gonna kick your ass!" be?

when angle first returned from injury (after being GM) he was good...cos he was playing that chicken-shit guy who wouldnt wrestle.

he was also good at survivor series, i loved how he started to cry when he backed into Show.
However, it just annoys me that he also has this violent streak about him at the moment too. He's much better the way he was at survivor series. i mean, shooting a dart into big show's back,.....WHATSUPWITDAT?

He's still cool and all but I prefered him before when he was all about the wrestling. Like before his Wrestlemania match with Brock. When he had Team Angle and those little red jackets with hoods thing. Those rocked.

I liked the silly yet serious at times Angle from the beginning to the Team Angle saga. Now, he's too much like everyone else, not enough about mind games or doing it for the wrestling.

Oh, and that catchphrase mentioned earlier " Grr, I'm mean.. etc" ..that would have been mine, but Edgeward beat me to it. Ooh, I hate him!

I've never really liked him all that much. He's too much of a nerd.........then again I haven't watched smackdown in a month, so who knows what he's like now.

That's what made him great. He was entertaining, but when he stepped into the ring he could deliver greatness. Now he's more of an angry old man who wants the young guys out of his ring. He should be using Luther & Jindrak right now to protect himself, and has lackeys that let him be badass without having to be badass. I like the way he acts tough around Jindrak & Reigns, but I would love it if the classic Kurt broke out time to time.

Kurt Angle is the man. Though his politics backstage that ive been hearing about recently have made me lose respect for him, but im always entertained through his matches, whatever his gimmick is.

His character remains awesome, even after all these years. It's his backstage politics that I'm questioning, since I'm starting to hear some evidence of the sort.

On the other hand, his politics haven't really hurt the company the way HHH's has. He hasn't been pursuing the belt in forever, and he's jobbed in the scenarios, etc...

But Kurt's a pretty cool guy.l

Kurt was probably at his peak when like you guys say he was a goofy guy one moment then a serious guy who could beat anyone. Will there ever be a better moment than the segments with E & C, HHH or Steve Austin.

Angle is indeed god. He was at his best with E and C. He was hilarious, but kicked major ass in the ring.

I might like this new "home town hero" storyline. You know they're totally setting up for someone to eventually beat him. The WWE is probably waiting to bring in another guiy like Cena (When he debuted, and wasn't a cheesey rapper).

Angle is the new Bret Hart.

Angle is Jesus, Bret is God.

I still like Angle. Although his character gets on my nerves! But thats his job. He was best in late 2002 - mid 2003 IMO. But he still is excellent. He says he has 2 - 3 years left with WWE, so these are his last few years, it will be sad to see him go :'(

Yeah, that's why I don't mind Angle's stuff so much. Angle is still willing to put over guys that Trips would bury in an instant. You think Eddie Guerrero would be a main-eventer now if he were chasing HHH in late 2003? He would have been obliterated at a PPV and would be back to the midcard by now. Although he'd be almost perfect if he was completely politic-free.
