Do you guys think that they made a mistake unmasking Kane? Paul Bearer does http://www.wrestlingdotcom.com/news/58601494.php I thought they did at first but now I'm used to it.

Yeah I know, still I wanna discuss it. I think Mask was way more mysterious and cool. Didn't Masked Kane used to have a 'Monster' voice?

I remember seeing a sign in the crowd said something like
"kane needs an anal vibrator to talk"

That's pretty funny Gerard.
But yeah, masked Kane was better. And I mean the original masked Kane, the one that feuded with Undertaker, not the one that teamed with X-Pac or fought for the WWF against the Alliance

Unmasked Kane was revitalized. He's now part of major storylines (or he was before he started filming his movie...) and if he turns face after he comes back we'll probably see him move back into the main event spotlight. Unmasked = good

I agree with TS6. The beginning of masked Kane was great, but they tainted his legacy by pairing him with X-Pac and Tori. Unmasked Kane has been great the whole time. His Lita storyline blew, but at least he was entertaining in it.

Well, both of the Kane's (Masked and Unmasked) were awesome when they first happened, Kane, went thru everyone in his path, kicked out of finishers (It took 3 Tombstones at Wrestlemania 14 to finish him off) he stayed that way, until they deceided to make him a comedy character, disregarding everything about him....The voice box to speak, being nearly invinible and everything else....and then he began to befriend people (X-Pac)...they then tried going back on him, it didn't work, he tossed around limbo until they finally unmasked him, which, where they fucked up, by his constant pushing and unpushing...
And like the masked Kane, they completely disregardled the things we knew about him....like how his body is supposed to be burned up, yet, he is wearing no shirt and only tights....what is next? Main Event Panties?
I think he is better without the mask, I don't know, he seems more Evil that wa...since his mask, only seemingly had one facial emotion, which was at times, just plain silly....and that Mask from 2002-2003....don't get me started on that, he just looks like a retard for the most part, I mean, the masked look cool, just not on him...
In closing, it would be stupid for the WWE to put the mask back on him...but however, I guess it has nothing on the stupid things they already done to Glenn Jacobs and Kane

How is masked Kane more evil? Unmasked Kane set J.R. on fire, took a car battery to shane's testicles, and forced lita to have sex with him.
I liked the way masked Kane looked but the unmasked version is a lot better as the evil monster.

Masked kane was able to rip a door off a cage (undertaker vs. Shawn Micheals)
Masked kane set things on fire as well. Masked Kane was completly unstoppable and went as far as to being put in a straight jacket in which if I remember correctly was able to rip it off. He was pure Evil destroyed everything and everyone in his path.
Now..unmasked Kane is a married man with a miscarried son....evil :)

You know he'll be able to win the Royal Rumble this year...that is unless those bastards at the bank don't come after him because he was late on his last morgage payment, forcing him to eliminate himself.
the original masked kane was better than the stupid kane who ON HIS FREAKIN' RETURN DEBUT DID A SPINEROONI, WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!
okay, anyway, yeah, before he came back doing a spinerooni his mask was good, but from there it just went downhill, they killed his charact4er, he was a jobbing face for the most part.... until he teamed with RVD!!!! I loved that tag team, but anyway, i'd say the original masked kane was the best, but the unmasked kane was better than the spinerooni masked kane (minus rvd - kane team)

Kane and the band Korn both have things in common: They started out off as ruthless SOB's, not caring about anyone, destroying everything in their path (Korn's first album was kinda like that....) and just didn't care. Now, Kane is screaming over a women, hes not the big monster who destroys everything in his path now (Taboo Tuesday), and Korn are now creating upbeat music like Word Up and are not creating music like their first one. I don't know what the hell I'm talking about, I put the M in stoopid.
Masked and unmasked both have their pros and cons. Uh....yeah :wavesad:

Unmasked Kane is more evil because he is more focused, but they screwed him up by making him job to Shane McMahon so much.

Unmasked Kane is way better. Right up until he married Lita, that is.

I like Masked Kane when he first showed up.
Unmasked Kane I didn't particularly like when he first lost the mask. I just thought the whole thing was ridiculous. He could easily take care of experienced wrestlers but when it comes to Shane McMahon... that's different. Shane was like the only one who could hurt him.
After the Shane feud I liked Unmask Kane.... up until Lita. (Though don't get me wrong, Kane does a fabulous job)

When Kane was teaming with X-Pac, I hated him very much. They may have been X-Pac's fault, but I'm not sure. But now...he's just so....cool, kinda. Fuck that mask, it wasn't helping.

Only skimmed the responses, so I might be repeating someone, but I don't really think it's a question of "masked" or "unmasked." It's Monster Kane that was awesome, not a little pussy who lost to the likes of Shane McMahon. Both masked and unmasked Kane have been monsters and humans, and I really prefer Monster Kane a lot more.

True, but the fact that he sold any of Shane's offence is an insult to wrestling in general. Let's not forget that Shane set him on fire, attacked him in the hospital, and put him through a table. Granted, Kane sat right up but he should never have gone down in the first place.

A guy can only be a monster for so long. Eventually they have to lose a match, or sell, and that whole monster auora goes away.
I dont think it really has made much of a difference (mask vs no mask), he's still basically got the same spot he always had, just now he can do colour.
Personally I liked the mask better because it kept his whole character together, but without it, the whole history of his character really took a blow in terms of credibility. But thats just me being picky.

You know what I would like to see? Just randon explosions on RAW and SmackDown!. Lights going red, and unexplained fires, etc. Then it turns out that at the New Year's Revolution PPV that Snitsky & Lita have been together on this whole thing. Kane appears on the titantron and says he's coming back, but he's not going to hold a grudge. Kane then gets a barrel of acid and puts his face in it, then comes out with his face covered and puts a new mask over the top of his face. We're left to believe Kane is back as a monster, and he's finally discarded those emotions that tied him down.
Kane then comes out at the Rumble in the number 30 slot which was originally left vacant. Kane then throws EVERYBODY out of the ring in a mtter of seconds. Have him shatter his old elimination record, as well as going in the record books as the only person exclusively from RAW to win the Rumble, and the only man to win it from the #30 slot. From there you can either have Triple H then lose the World Heavyweight Title to Kane at WrestleMania, or we can see JBL vs. Kane (which I think would be REALLY interesting) with all of JBL's efforts being useless, and Kane regaining his WWE Championship. Kane can then either enter a program with Randy Orton, Batista, Edge, Chris Jericho, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Kurt Angle, Luther Reigns or pretty much anyody. Have him hold the WWE Championship for AGES. don't have him job it until you have someone the WWE is really confident in, like Batista or Edge to take the title away from Kane at WrestleMania 22, or something. Maybe Charlie Haas from SmackDown!?
Anyway to answer the question, I prefered Kane with the mask, but I'm a Kane mark either way.

I'm all about the mask, it was way more mysterious, especially when he used to come out in that red light and just wrestle and the light wouldnt turn back. That was sweet.

I liked Kane WAY better with the mask
Kane was the man from his debut at Bad Blood 97 to his match with Taker at Wrestlemania XIV. He looked so invincible with Paul Bearer and that mask. After he lost to Taker he pretty muched lost his credibility IMO
