How suprising when you live in NY, you get the NY teams, even more suprising that a station owned by Stienbrenner would show the Yankees...

Hey Trips, when the jets/giants aren't on or are on the same time, do you get random nfl games or do certain teams seem to show up more?

Around here there are a lot of old Giants fans, (before there were an AFL Patriots there were Giants so everyone was a Giant fan and most people around here over 50 still are) so the Giants games usually end up on air around here, even if it's not the game of the week or such.

Why would Steinbrenner's station not show the Yankees? Do you think before you post or what? I don't get what you are trying to say a lot of the time.

When the Giants and Jets are both on, we rarely get any other Sunday afternoon games. We did today for some reason though. Cowboys/Ravens.

When the Jets or Giants play on Sunday night or Monday night though, we just get a random game. Usually the best possible one.

And they are never on at the same time.

Yeesh, I tried speaking your lingo and you still didn't get it... = sarcasm.

You posted a thread and told us you get all the NY games on TV, and well, you live in NY, I don't... I've driven through NY a few times, and transfered at JFK, and could have told you that you get the NY teams (unless the Jets or Giants didn't sell out, then there would be a local blackout).

hence the first part was a sarcastic response and then the 2nd (about what other games) was a serious question. Hope that helps you out. (see, sarcasm!) :p

Okay. Now answer the topic question.

FB: Pats & seemingly Giants most weeks
Basketball Celtics
Hockey Bruins
Baseball Red Sox.

If you factor in cable or satalite ofcourse there are many options but those are the locals.

Which you'll find, unless someone lives somewhere w/o a team or their team sucks and doesn't sell out (nfl football) they get the local teams.

Triple A

I KNOW THAT, DICK. I am trying to find out about the people that don't live in a place with a team, or other teams that are usually there. Like you with the Giants.

It's funny how the Yankees are the only team I could technically watch on a daily basis during the season and they are the team I hate the most.

And actually, Cards have been on a lot this year. Which means I miss a bunch of Cowboy games. Which isn't any better.

Minnesota is nice because we have all of the major leagues here, so we get those (Vikings, Twins, Wolves, Wild). When the Vikings aren't on we get the Packers quite often, and for some reason it seems like CBS shows a lot of the Dolphins here..?

In Missouri its a little different. Theres no NBA team, but FSN shows random college games. They might have the rights to a random NBA team, but im not sure. In the NFL, when the Rams don't play I think the order of teams they go from is: Chicago, Green Bay, Minnesota.

Montreal=my city.

So here you go:

Hockey:

CBC: they always show Leafs games, although next are sens and Habs.
RDS(local) Montreal Canadiens
TSN(national) all Canadian teams, and other random games..for some reason lots of Stars last year.
Sportsnet: Habs and Sens..that is on sportsnet east btw.

Football:

Fox: Giants
CBS: Either Jets, Bills or Pats

Baseball:

TSN: Blue Kays
RDS: Expos
Sportsnet: Jays and expos
Fox: Yankees

Basketball: I barely watch this sport, but from what I see...

TSN: Raptors
any other station, mostly the best game. Lakers too in late games.

But Hockey dominates the tv here. On sundays Football gets the recognition.

Well, I get all the Boston sports games obviously. But like VEL said we get a shitload of Giants games on Fox. Usually its the Patriots on CBS, then Giants game on FOX. Then one other game on either CBS or FOX. A lot of times it an AFC east game if the 2nd game is on CBS, but sometimes its completely random.

AFL:

Every game, every team, everywhere

Cricket:

All the games that Australia are in, plus a few international series on Foxtel. For domestic, they play most of the 1-dayers from anywhere in Australia, covering most teams.

Basketball:

Normally the best game which is played on a friday, Saturday or Wednesday night

Rugby:

Dunno, on channel 9 they have the Melbourne Storm occasionally, and on Foxtel there's probably all of the Sydney & Brisbane teams & crap.

Soccer:

LOL nobody watches that shit in Australia. It's probably on SBS or something which is like the shittest channel there is, and mostly plays gay shit that nobody watches.
