Duh yes. Canadian wrestlers simply fucking own. On a relative basis, they pump out the best talent going.

The women soccer players are pretty good. But I guess that doesn't really matter much.

Over the last two decades, Canada has become the "breeding ground" for wrestlers. It's sort of what Minnesota and the Carolinas were in the '70s and '80s.

At the moment, a lot of my favorite wrestlers are Canadian: Benoit, Jericho, Team Canada, Christian, Lance Storm (even though he's not really wrestling atm), etc.

Something about Canada (*cough*StuHart*cough*) is producing a hell of a lot of skilled workers.

My favourites are Team Canada in TNA, Bret Hart, Owen Hart & Brian Pillman (RIP went way too soon)

Hollywood Red

Pillman's not Canadian, is he? He was Hart Foundation, so brought into that whole Canadian vs. American thing they did, but only by association (atleast I thought so)... same goes for Neidhart and Bulldog.

Out of curiosity, who do we have?

Bret Hart
Owen Hart
Teddy Hart
Edge
Christian
Test
Val Venis
Chris Benoit
Chris Jericho
Lance Storm
Trish Stratus
Gail Kim
René Duprée
Sylvain Grenier
Team Canada

I feel like I'm missing countless people, especially the older guys...

Pillman is from cincinatti ohio, but trained in the dungeon in calgary, after playing for the stampeders of the CFL. He's like a brother to Bruce and Owen basically.

The big guy Kurrgan of the truth commission is canadian. So is earthquake. Dino Bravo, rick martel, the rougeau's..bad news allen...at least he trains up there and lives there in calgary. Phil Lafon.Neidhart and Bulldog lived in Calgary..Neidhart is from reno nevada though. The Jackal is canadian. The Rock's father worked up in stampede. Which is why the rock was close to owen and Bret helped him out alot. Piper grew up in Canada and is a Hart cousin.

I'm not totally sure, but in his book he states that he moved around very often. He was in saskatchewan, Toronto, alberta...maybe someone else might be able to be more definitive. Piper that is.

Yea don't forget aboot Jack Evans as well. Not technical based like most other Canadian wrestlers but he was still stretched in the dungeon. :y:

I think I heard somewhere that he was actually born in Manhasset, and moved to Canada because his dad (who played NHL) when to play up North. Not sure how accurate that is, though.

It's true. Jericho was born in New York because his father was playing for the New York Rangers at the time. He went up to Canada eventually, though. Maybe right away.

I am quite partial to it actually

Really? Haven't heard that. I know he met Blitzkrieg recently. I guess it would make sense as Blitztkrieg is out of wrestling and Evans idolizes him.

I think it goes to show how big wrestling is in Canada. I mean just compared ot the Staes, we are roughly 10% of the population, but we definately have pumped out more than 10% of the greatest wrestlers.

So yeah, we rule!

BTW, I'm pretty sure Angle is really CDN and Test is really an American.
