The past few Raws have teased at a Batista turn, and with a the poster for New Years Revolution being yet another hint, it seems Batista may be breaking away from Evolution. My question is if he's ready. After watching his match with orton a couple weeks ago, he's really impressed me as far as his in-ring skills go. However his mic work is still pretty awful. If he turns now, I predict he'll be in the central storylines for about a month, then fade into the midcard. This wouldn't necessarily a bad thing, but if he remained in evolution, he would still be involved in the major storylines in some way or another.

No he's not. He needs to stay aligned with Hunter at least till Mania. I could see after Mania, and after a program with Orton, then I could see him doing a face turn and going on his own.

His mic work is not that bad. He's not Chris Jericho, but he's not exactly Steve "I have no charisma" Blackman either.

And yeah, I'd really like to see evolution be around for at least another year.
Stables with longevity = ratings.
they need new members though, god damn brand split, imagine what evolution could be with members from both rosters
Kurt Angle, Batista and Reigns as enforcers, Carlito, bradshaw, maybe even undertaker
and i'm just rambling lol, i wouldn't like to see evolution break up, but being a batista mark i'd like for him to be a face as well

I hope they play this right. I haven't seen RAW yet, but I hope during every Evoultion promo from now on the fans are chanting "BA-TIS-TA" in hope that he'll snap and turn face. That could be the ultimate turn when he finally does leave Evolution.
BA-TIS-TA has stepped it up big time. He's impressing the hell out of me and he has the look of a major champion IMO. It helps that he has been a heel since he's come in the wwe. The longer they prolong a face turn. The better it will be. I can imagine Hunter after a Wrestlemania Victory over Orton, Celebrating on RaW talking about how no one beats the champ not even Orton. Then he turns around looks at Batista , hands him the mic and says " What do you think big man " Batista simply smiles then puts a serious face on and give him the thumbs down. Boooooom Batista Bomb.
yah he's cool

I thought that his swerve acting on raw was very decent as far as wrestlers acting in the backstage area. On the mic in the ring, I think he still gets a little shy and choked up, but backstage the guy was starting to shine through.
You can always tell a bad actor from a good actor in the way they time their parts. If the timing is right, it doesnt looked staged, but you all obviously know this. Batista was doing quite well in those segments or at least that was my opinion.
As far as the ring goes, I think he does good for being a hoss. No Brock Lesnar by any means, but I stopped using Brock as a standard because the guy was a phenominal athlete and not everyone that comes along can be as good as he was. Batista is better then 90% of the other hoss' in the WWE though.
Its like he is almost done cooking, and you are staring at him through the window on the oven, just waiting to see a golden brown or maybe even hear the ding of the timer.

In my opinion, Batista needs to be a HEEL. He doesn't have the mic skills or charisma needed to succeed as a face. He'd end up being a poor man's Goldberg or Lesnar.
I'd like to see Batista and Flair break away from Triple H after Mania'. Batista and Flair would remain heel, but Triple H could turn face.

Hmm, I agree with your Ric Flair & Batista alliance, but I'd prefer it if they were babyfaces. Batista is decent on the mic, and as already stated is certainly good backstage, and with Flair to cut his long promos, he could really take off as "The Leviathan" style Batista.
It's not like Batista really needs mic skills, the face pops on RAW spoke for themselves. All Batista really has to say on the mic is something like "I'm gonna kick your ass", and he's fine; his wrestling makes up the rest.
I still think Batista should be a heel unless he's opposing a strong heel, which ANYBODY would get a face pop for. A face can't get over with Batista's mic skills, but they're certainly worthy of a few pops now and then.
I'd like to see heel Batista feud with face Orton for a while if he wins the World Title at Mania. If Edge happens to win the World Title sometime next year then a face Batista would be a good opponent for him, if the World Title doesn't go back around HHH's waist that is.
