Tapings Thoughts: After two craptacular weeks of TNA programming, they definitely recovered this week. . . If TNA wanted to parody the Owens/Sheridan deal from Monday Night Football, couldn’t they have used Traci or Trinity instead of Kevin Nash in the towel role? . . . I don’t know what it says about Scott Hall, but A.J. sold the toothpick in the eye better than anything that Hall did during their match. . . The first main event showed how small A.J. really is when you compare him to Scott Hall. . . That match also showed what happens when you have someone who could care less about getting his opponent over in the match on one side of the ring, and A.J. Styles in the other. . . The only wrestlers to have matches on both week’s tapings were Kid Kash and Chris Sabin. . . For some reason, Jeff Hardy and Frankie Kazarian did not wrestle at all. . . During the Hall and Nash ‘promo’ during the second show was met with chants of ‘Back to Rehab’ and ‘Boring’. . . While I have not had a problem with Page’s role in TNA, this week he started to take as much time as the ‘Kings of Wrestling’, and that is not a good thing. . . Tonight saw the dumbest chant that I have ever heard, and it came from the man that I like to call ‘King of the Stupid One Man Chants’. During the Kash and Sabin match, this guy starts a chant for the ref. . . Before the main event of week two, someone from the back brought out a different guitar since the first one had pyros connected to it. . . If Hall sells the way he did tonight in the match at Turning Point, and knowing Hall’s track record and comments, it could be a long match for Styles. . . I was surprised that Petey Williams did not attack Sabin after his match since this was the last show before the pay per view. . . The Jarrett/Brown match went almost twelve minutes. . . I assume if they are going to ‘show the footage’ it will be at Turning Point.
