View Full Version : Predicting The Possible WWE Armageddon Card...
Somebody's Gotta Die

WWE Armageddon:
Presented By WWE SmackDown!:
WWE Heavyweight Championship
Fatal Fourway Match
John Bradshaw Layfield (champion) vs. Eddie Guerrero vs. The UnderTaker vs. Booker T
- This clearly has to be the spotlight main event for the show. I'd like to see Booker take the title in a long, grueling match. I'd like to see this one go about 30-40 minutes.
WWE United States Championship
No Holds Barred
John Cena (champion) vs. Jésus (w/CCC)
- Apparently Cena is going to be gone for the long run, I suggest putting him in a match like a brawl where he doesn't need to carry an all-out match. Either he drops the title or retains in a slugfest but at least this way, fans get to see one of the biggest spotlights on SmackDown!
WWE Tag-Team Championship
René Duprée & Kenzo Suzuki (champions) vs. Rob Van Dam & Rey Mysterio
- Have them retain the titles causing an argument between RVD & Rey... A RVD-Rey feud could pay off huge in a dream match at Royal Rumble... This match could go about 12 minutes.
6-Man Tag-Team Match
Spike Dudley, Billy Kidman & Nunzio vs. Chavo Guerrero, Paul London & Scotty 2 Hotty
- Basically summarizes the cruiserweight division as it currently stands... Have an acrobatic 6-man match to showcase most of the cruiserweights... It could go about 8-10 minutes.
Handicap Match
Big Show vs. Luther Reigns & Mark Jindrak
- Have Luther & Jindrak take the win here in a match where Big Show attempts to defy all the odds in order to win, however the double team tactics prove to be too much and Angle's little group steals the win. Big Show is furious after... This could go about 7-8 minutes.
Heidenreich & Paul Heyman vs. Charlie Haas & Hardcore Holly
- Long puts Heidenreich in a tag match with Heyman so that Heyman might have to get in the ring. Haas and Holly both get enough shots in on Heyman, however at the end Heidenreich proves to be too strong and saves his team in about 7-8 minutes.
Kurt Angle Invitational Challenge
Kurt Angle vs. _______________?
- Have a decent star for some excitement out of the crowd at this point of the show. Whoever the challenger is comes very close, but Angle proves too good and wins with a last-second rollup. Almost a big upset. The challenger should be someone the fans recognize and can appreciate so that the crowd gets into it. This match could go up to 15 minutes.
Impromtu Challenge
Orlando Jordan vs. Josh Matthews
- In a quick impromptu challenge, you can have these guys go at it in a quick time-filler. Orlando brutally beats Matthews and Tazz comes in for help and suplexes Jordan... Something to keep the fans into the show. Give this whole thing about 8-10 minutes.
HEAT BEFORE THE SHOW
Triangle Tag-Team Match
#1 Contendership To Tag-Team Championship
Dudley Boyz vs. Shannon Moore & Funaki vs. Basham Brothers
- This could go a nice 6-7 minutes. Moore & Funaki get laid out and the Bashams lay out the Dudleys for a quick upset pinfall over the fallen Moore. Give Bashams some more exposure since they've been on TV lately.

I'd have Angle go against Puder in the ring in a shoot fight match.
And I'd like to see JBL retain only because I so not wish to see Booker T become a transitional champ and drop the belt to Taker or Angle in a month.

Good card, and that's pretty much what I was expecting, but instead of a six-man tag team match, I had a Six-Pack Challenge for the Cruiserweight Championship. Anyway, here's how I would book it.
WWE Championship
Fatal Fourway
John Bradshaw Layfield vs. Booker T vs. Eddie Guerrero vs. The Undertaker
Winner: JBL via pinfall. He pins all three men after a belt shot by Orlando to The Undertaker, and a Double Clothesline from Hell by JBL to Booker & Eddie. BTW, does anyone else find it interesting that all the men in this match are Texans?
#1 Contender's Match
Kurt Angle vs. The Big Show
Winner: The Big Show via pinfall. Angle gets Luther Reigns and Mark Jindrak to wrestle The Big Show earlier that night in a Handicap Match, which The BS wins via DQ. Angle then feels so confident that he can beat Show, he has an open challenge, answered by Daniel Puder, who makes Angle tap out. Big Show then beats Angle with a Chokeslam. Kurt then tries to focus Reigns & Jindrak leading into the Rumble.
Kurt Angle's Hometown Challenge
Kurt Angle vs. Daniel Puder
Winner: Daniel Puder via submission. Angle taps out to save face for his #1 contender's match later that night. This allows Puder to claim he could feel the arm of Angle breaking, and he wants to make Angle tap out again. The two face off at No Way Out.
WWE United States Championship
Street Fight
John Cena vs. Jesus
Winner: Jesus via pinfall. Jesus basically destroys Cena in this, and becomes US Champion.
WWE Tag Team Championship
Rene Dupree & Kenzo Suzuki vs. Rey Mysterio & Rob Van Dam
Winners: Rene Dupree & Kenzo Suzuki via pinfall. RVD turns on 619, and the two finally have a blowoff match at No Way Out.
Handicap Match
The Big Show vs. Luther Reigns & Mark Jindrak
Winner: The Big Show via DQ.
Grudge Match
Heidenreich vs. Hardcore Holly
Winner: Heidenreich via submission. Complete squash. Heidenreich puts the finishing touches on Holly with the cobra clutch.
Special Guest Referee: Charlie Haas
Miss Jackie vs. Dawn Marie
Winner: Dawn Marie via DQ. Haas warns Jackie, but she keeps pushing it, and Haas DQ's Jackie which upsets her greatly.
WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Whoever Gets the Decision is Champion
Spike Dudley, Billy Kidman, Akio & Nunzio vs. Shannon Moore, Chavo Guerrero, Funaki & Paul London
Winners: Spike Dudley, Billy Kidman, Akio & Nunzio via pinfall. Nunzio pins Chavo, so he is the new Cruiserweight Champion. Paul London turns heel in the match and re-alligns himself with Billy Kidman.

Yeah, angle/taker is the rumored wm match for smackdown this year, so I definatly see him dropping it to angle if he(booker) wins. Besides, I've become a mark for JBL, so whatever.

Is Puder from Atlanta? If he's not, there's no point of doing that Hometown gimmick at Armageddon.
I still think they need to do something huge in the next month or two in order to get people talking so Mania doesn't toally tank.
So if they want to do that hometown challenge thing, why not have Anlge do the open challenge thing in Atlanta, and when he gets to the ring he beats some random kid, and starts running down ATL. Then GOLDBERG's music fires up, and he comes in and spears Angle and Jackhammers him, and the ref counts 3.
But that wont happen.
JBL should retain, at this point they have very few heels on the SD side who could challenge a babyface champion and therefore they sould just keep the title on JBL. I actually think they should just try to put the title back on Eddie at Mania, since its in LA, maybe they could just play up the Latino thing, and use that to maybe get the Latino market to save this PPV. They buy in droves when Oscar is going for a title in boxing, so if they were to build Eddie back up the right way, it might cause a small stir. They could play off the fact that JBL never actually pinned him.
The other idea I thought of would be just to keep the title on JBL until like Summerslam 05. I know that sounds like a really bad idea, but they dont have any other guys that carry the load on the heel side (unless they say turned Benoit and moved him over like Paul Heyman wanted). Plus, they've already spent all this time building him up, so why would you have him drop the title at a meaningless show like Armageddon?
Then at Summerslam build up to Cena winning the title. I would say do it at Mania this year, but if Orton is going to be chasing and winning the title, I dont think they should do the exact same angle (Cena chasing JBL) for the SD side of the same show. This is another problem of having two titles.
If they were to keep the title on JBL long term, I would bring in Hogan to do a JOB for him in a title match.

My idea is that Puder would say something like "Although I am not from Atlanta, I will be their hero, and I will kick your ass and take your medals.", then Puder would win, but Angle would get out of giving him his Gold Medal by saying "You are not from Atlanta, I don't have to give you anything!". Combine this with the submission thing, and I think you'd have a pretty good feud between Angle and Puder headed into the Rumble, NWO or WrestleMania.
If you're going to have Eddie win the title at WrestleMania, I think it would be good to have Shawn Michaels vs. Eddie Guerrero. If you have Benoit win the Rumble again on RAW, you can have him jump over to SmackDown! again, and then have Michaels win the title at No Way Out. HBK vs. Latino Heat vs. The Rabid Wolverine would be a dream match in some people's eyes.
Another way to get Benoit on SmackDown! is to have him answer the invitational at Armageddon. Then you can do the Puder/Angle thing, with Angle claiming that since Benoit was born in Edmonton he can't take the medal.

I've been thinking about this, and it has probably a close to zero chance of happening, but I think it would be interesting to see two rings used at Armageddon.

The last two matches really use the two rings idea. The "Duet Match" has two matches take place at the one time, while the Cruiserweight Championship can basically have eight guys flying around and taking bumps, etc. Scotty 2 Hotty would be good in the match, and they could add him, but eight is an even number, so meh.

RVD and Mysterio are wayyyyyy over. Dumb not to put the belts on them right now.

Mr. Nerfect

Yeah, the Hardcore thing would be punishment. RVD & Mysterio would only lose the match when RVD turns heel, setting up an ECW Rules Match down the line between the two (probably at No Way Out). If you want to have Cena make the title emaningless by having it inactive for 60 or so days, fine. Jesus is an active wrestler, and he's got the heat. You can even have the John Cena winning the title decision reversed and have a tournament or have Carlito simply allow Jesus to defend for him.
Luther Reigns & Mark Jindrak are huge compared to your average man, and each has HUGE potential. How is havin two men realistically going toe to toe with a giant man, and only winning after some tricky tactics going to smother the heat of the Big Show. Realistically no man stands a chance against two men like Jindrak & Reigns, so why should TBS be any different?
I have a feeling we'll see JBL in the main event of Mania, while Angle vs. Taker is in the mid-card somewhere.
