when did flea join a Punk/Emo/Screamo band?
He played bass on the last Mars Volta album. Although I'm not even sure if that counts...

Yeah, Penner would've been talking about the Volta gig. But I don't really classify them as punk/emo/screamo. :$

Best Screamer:
Bert McCracken - The Used (rank city)
Claudio Sanchez - Coheed and Cambria (noted for his amazing raptor screech)
Best Singer:
Adam Lazarra - Taking Back Sunday: for sheer emotional beauty
Jesse Lacey - Brand New: for suave goodness and intonation
Davey Havok - AFI: the man is a god. That is all.
Highest Singer:
Cedric Bixler Zavala - At the Drive In
Claudio Sanchez - Coheed and Cambria
Best Guitarist:
Too many to list. Notable mentions all around.
Best Bassist:
Again, too many to list, but at the moment, I am very into Matt McGinn from Cursive's work.
Best Drummer:
Gotta give it to Tucker from Thursday, at the moment. This will change in about 2 days, give or take.
Best Band Name:
Uhh... Me First and the Gimme Gimmes.
Best Song Name:
"We Threw Gasoline On The Fire And Now We Have Stumps For Arms And No Eyebrows" - NOFX.
Best Overall Band Right Now:
Cursive. Though that doesn't really apply since they're on hiatus. They're what I'm listening to at the moment. But for bands that are still together, Taking Back Sunday.

They definitely aren't and I'm sad that people think that they are. They are more of just a Progressive hard psychadelic rock band. They have nothing to do with emo/screamo/punk and neither did At the Drive-in. They shouldn't fall in with the emo catagory whatsoever.
