So Jaws couldn't break into the top 10 if it's life depended on it, in fact it's the second worst film thus far.
Today we go for a groundbreaking film in the world of special effects, try not to consider the sequals as it's well known that they suck, but the first will always hold a special place in my heart. Today we enter the wold of the Matrix
Day 1: Goodfellas 97
Day 2: Fight Club 83
Day 3: Taxi Driver 86
Day 4: Shrek 82
Day 5: American History X 92
Day 6: The Usual Suspects 78
Day 7: The Ring (jap Version) 77
Day 8: Batman 87
Day 9: American Beauty 86
Day 10: Full Metal Jacket 87
Day 11: Saving Private Ryan 90
Day 12: Clockwork Orange 91
Day 13: Casino 84
Day 14: The Blues Brothers 92
Day 15: Ghostbusters 86
Day 16: Phone Booth 79
Day 17: Pulp Fiction
Day 18: Rocky 81
Day 19: Training Day 73
Day 20: T2 Judgement Day 92
Day 21: Enter the Dragon 94
Day 22: Jaws 74
Top 10

WTF with Jaws. I hate you all.
Um...7.4 Overrated/overshown and whatnot, but still a pretty good movie (sequels aside).
Although we have this to thank for every comedy that has some sort of bullet-time spoof in it. Ugh.

Retarted movie with bad acting (Reeves) tons of plot holes, and an annoying fan base that claims it's the best thing since sliced bread. If the movie wasn't so fricking overhyped maybe I'd like it more.. Reeves needs to make the third Bill and Ted and then retire.

I'll give at an 8.
Just because it's a film that I can watch over and over again but it has got alot of plot holes which could have been covered in the next two installments but weren't as the next two were two piles of turd.

WTF @ Enter the Dragon being that high.
You don't compare Enter the Dragon to Pulp Fiction or Goodfellas directly. You look at each one for what it is, for a kung fu movie Enter the Dragon got a rating which it deserved. Just like how Blues Brothers and Ghostbusters are rated high, too.

9 - The first film was a great, well rounded film. It had a sense of mystery, I think it made you feel for the characters. The sequels just didn't have the magic that the first film had. In the sequels, you knew what was going on.

I didn't like the movie.
I'll give the Matrix a 9.5.
There was just something special about being there, watching the inevitable struggle between Neo and Agent Smith going on. I may be one in a handful of people who actually LIKED the sequels (Reloaded was the worst one, but still good...Revolutions was jesus, except for the ending.), but they don't beat the first Matrix. It had a good plot, and if you wanted to read that deep into it, you could see symbolism in it. I think it deserves a 10, with the sequels ranking 6.5 and 9 respectively, but nothing is perfect.

Bad acting, too much subtext. Plus I didn't like all of the slow-motion special effects, I think it would've been better without them. Changing my rating now, I gave it too low a score now that I think about it.

OK that's fine, just a 1 seemed very low. :y:

No?
Since there is only one scale for every movie, they should be rated overall. But then again, I don't really care for kung fu shit.

5... I love Reeves but the Matrix is one of the most overrated films of all time. It's decent and a cool idea, but one of the best ever? I don't think so...

Was better then the other two Movies by far, but was also over-rated...I mean, don't get me wrong, I like the movie, and have it in my DVD collection (along with the other two crappy sequals), but it's just not along my favorites, and think it is over praised for being a breakthru movie....

Well...I never saw the third one, until after it came out on DVD and I'm one of thoses people, who will buy movies, before ever seeing them...and Reloaded, I throught was pretty good the first time I saw it, which merited me, buying it, then it turned into one of thoses movies, that everytime you see it, it make you think less of the movie...and Sadly...it's overpayed to Hell on Cinemax as of late, so yeah...
