Poll to come. The time is 3:47 a.m. Pacific Time as I type this. Understandably, I am tired. I will complete the rest of this post at a later time.

Although Randy Orton seems like the logical and obvious choice, it is WAY too predictable, and it is something I would save to a smaller PPV where good buyrates aren't confirmed.

Dave Batista is my pick, if I was behind WWE booking. The Leviathan has been build-up week after week as a threat, and has some good potenatial feuds with Benoit, Jericho, Kane and Maven all lined up for him. From a shock standpoint, Batista is Triple H's teammate, and it would be a mark out moment for Batista to finally stand up for himself. Emotionally you can have Ric Flair give Davo a heart warming speech about how that title isn't a "long-term relationship", it is a "one-night stand", and you need ot make the bets of every opportunity you get with it, whether or not you feel you are ready. You can have Flair tell Batista to grab at greatness while it's in front of him, as the title is something he may not be able to win tomorrow. He convinces Batista to not waste this opportunity.

We then see Batista win the title in a fairly decisive match, and we all go home happy. Batista remains paired with Ric Flair, while Trips takes some time off, and works behind the scenes. Orton defeats Cena in an interpromotional match at WrestleMania, after some kind of shady tactics.

I can't see HHH jobbing to be honest. he did the job last time and this year a Face will be going over in the Smackdown Main event.

So I'd expect HHH to Beat Batista in a semi main event match

Triple H V. Randy Orton for the World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestle Mania XX is way too predictable and I think fans will lose interest by that time.

I would like to see the WWE give Randy Orton the 'nod' for the Royal Rumble. Randy Orton wins the 2005 Royal Rumble Match. However, instead of going to Mania... Orton challenges Triple H for the title RIGHT now after he has just won the Rumble.

There we have it... right after the Rumble we have Triple H V. Orton for the title. With Orton going OVER and defeating Triple H for the World Heavyweight Championship. The fans will freak out because it would be the last thing they expected.

The WWE needs to capitalize on Orton now... and not Wrestle Mania because the WWE always goes into a slump after Mania. Push Orton now and have him as the champ when Mania is on and when the most fans are watching.

Then give the Mania Main Event....

World Heavyweight Championship
Randy Orton V. The Rock

It maybe predictable, however it makes Orton look amazing if he deafeats Triple H at the rumble and then The Rock at Wrestle Mania.

Great Idea about the rumble, The Rock stuff isn't though IMO :y:

I think it's more likely JBL will retain than Trips will, IMO. Anyway, Orton has so many good possibilities for matches at Mania (The Rock, Cena, etc.), Batista doesn't have that many that can draw attention, and that is what WrestleMania is about.

To be honest I think the WWE is going through a time when they are deciding between the two, and I personally think they'll choose Orton. I REALLY think Batista is the better choice, though.

Would love to see The Rock, but being more realistic I would also love to see Chris Jericho there!....OK maybe that's not exactly realisic, but is more so than The Rock...

LMAO.

I vaguely remember creating this post.

I was VERY drunk when creating this topic. Kudos to me for my correct spelling. :D

See for me it seems that what will happen is Triple H will remain champ all the way untill Wrestlemania then....meanwhile.....Orton enters the Royal Rumble and wins it thus getting his title shot. Since the winner always gets a title shot im sure a loophole will be discovered or something allowing Orton vs HHH at WM. Then Orton will win it back.

The only way I'd like to see Orotn v HHH is if Orton were to somehow get the WWE title, and then make it a unification match.

If they dont do that, then I'd say Batista vs HHH seems much more intriguing. Hell, I'd rather see HHH vs Flair than HHH vs Orton.

Well, check that, I'd rather see anyoen besides HHH vs anyone besides HHH in the main event, but thats not happening.

That seems to be the way the WWE is heading.
