keep randomly getting run-time errors and it closes.
Never had the problem before I started using system mechanic 5. :wtf:

Got the latest Java VM?
If not, download it.
Also, use the registry restorer in system mechanic to put all the entries you removed back in. See if that fixes it.

I'm still on System Mechanic 4. Somebody please tell me how good 5 is.

dunno, 5 seems to be ok.
The biggest problem I'm having is the virus software. It finds and removes all the crap that nortons tells me to do manualy, but it does something screwy to IE. It closes not just IE, but some of my other programs the second they open. I remove the virus software and have no problems.
How do I see what Java VM I have and where to update?

I was going to be an asshole and tell you to go to www.mozilla.org, but you seem to have already done that.
well what you could have done is go to add/remove programs, click on IE, then click on repair
