Welcome back to Rate The Wrestler. I'm Funky Fly, your host avec the most. Thanks again to everyone who took part on Day 100, your reps are in the mail (ie. give me about a week or so to get to everyone). And speaking of Day 100, Mr. Bob Backlund score a 90, a great score but just shy of the top 10.

We've already rated one half of the Rockers, and now we have Marty Janetty here at RTW. As I'm sure some of you older people remember, the Rockers were a high flying tag team in the WWF throughout the late 80s and early 90s. What you might not know is that the team was known as the Midnight Rockers in the AWA. The colorful duo would go on to win quite a bit of tag team gold in both federations before coming to and end one fateful day in 1992 in the Barbershop, when Shawn superkicked Marty through a glass window. The 2 would go on to feud over the IC title and put on some decent matches together. Marty Janetty eventually returned to the WWF briefly in 1994 (or 95, not certain) to The New Rockers with Leif Cassidy (AKA Al Snow). It didn't last, seeing as Leif was a bit unstable and eventually turned on Marty and had a short feud with him. I'm not too certain of what he's doing now, but Janetty would go on to be a lower midcard guy in WCW in the late 1990s.

The history lesson is to make up for the lateness, but anyway, happy voting.

I won't deny that he's a good wrestler, but he personally never did anything for me.

Great all around competitor. If he and Michaels had kept their shit together, they would have been stars even sooner. Unfortunately for Marty, he wasn't high enough around WWF for him to stay despite his problems - but Michaels was. Amazing tag wrestler though, and was great no matter who he was teamed with.

Also a solid singles worker, and I really enjoyed his matches everywhere he worked.

Also, on a side note, to add to Funky's post - Marty currently shares his time between FL and AL, and occasionally works an indy show here and there. He was also running a promotion of his own not too long ago. Currently, if you visit your local KB or TR'Us, he is on the shelves again along with Shawn Michaels in a legends tag set - which rules ass. :)

Overness: 6.5 (Was Over in the Rockers...Was over in the fued with HBK, but was still trailing behind him...and never went anywhere in WCW)

Ring Ability: 7.5 (Guy was pretty good...I know, this may seem low...but I didn't catch much of the Rocker's Tag Matches, I seen when they faced L.O.D and when Michaels threw him thru the window, and the feud...I don't know, I guess he just didn't do it for me...)

Workrate: ???

Mic SKills: ???

Potential: 6 (Sadly, The Well has dried up for Marty)

Memories: 9 (Him going thru the Window...The HBK/Marty Ic Title Fued...maybe a little nice, but I feel bad giving him all theses other bad scores)

Archivements: 6.5 (1 Tag Team Title Reign, if I'm not mistaken, was taken back)

Look: 10 (He had the look for the gimmick he was in)

Finisher: 9 (The Man who came up with one of my favorite moves, The Rocker Dropper...AKA The Fame-Ass-Er)

Personal Bias: 7.5

Overall: 7.8

Can't please all the people all the time. But hey, there was free rep to be had and I have pretty high rep power (due to massive amounts of rep, lots of posts and nearly 3 years on the boards).

I always liked him better then Shawn...I wonder what would've happened if the WWF decided to go the other way, and have Marty turn on Shawn.

Nothing too good or too bad about Mr. Janetty...above average, but nothing that I would write home about.
