View Full Version : Create your own roster split
I think this was done in the old forums so might as well update it. Take an X number superstars on the full roster and place them accordingly on which brand you think is best for them.
Here's mine:
RAW
Triple H
Kurt Angle
Randy Orton
Batista
Ric Flair
Shawn Michaels
Chris Jericho
John Cena
Booker T
Big Show (face)
Scott Steiner
Sean O'Haire
The Rock (heel)
Rhyno (face)
La Resistance
APA
Chuck Palumbo
Johnny Stamboli
Lance Storm
Val Venis
Orlando Jordan
Mark Henry
Kanyon
Test
Smackdown
Brock Lesnar
Undertaker
Kane
RVD (heel)
Goldberg
Steve Austin
Edge
Chris Benoit
Eddie Guerrero
Chavo Guerrero
Christian
WGTT

Garrison Cade
Mark Jindrak
Akio
Sakoda
Matt Hardy
Scotty 2 Hotty
Rikishi
Rey Mysterio
Ultimo Dragon
Maven
Shannon Moore
Jamie Noble
Tajiri
Nunzio
I didn't make many changes, but I did make changes so certain superstars can be pushed and/or they can have better feuds such as:
John Cena vs. The Rock
Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg
Undertaker vs. Kane
I also wanted to intensify the crusierweight division and put more people in it like Maven where I think he could get his best push into the midcard.

Here is what I'd change right now
To Raw
-Kurt Angle
-Undertaker
-Big Show
To Smackdown
-Rob Van Dam
-Randy Orton
-Kane
-Christian
Basically, Raw becomes a 'star studded' affair.....with many wrestlers who have been world champions in the past. With so many big names on Raw, I'd find it hard to believe if ratings ever went down.
Because Smackdown would be full of virgins for main-eventers (i.e. no one will have been a world champion other than Brock Lesnar..I don't consider Kane's one day title run to mean anything), it forces Smackdown to create new main-eventers. Guys like RVD, Benoit, Kane, Cena, Orton, and a returning Edge could all 'share the spotlight' in the main-event scene with Brock Lesnar.
RVD could become the clear-cut top face and be allowed to DRAW as a main-event face. We've seen what he can do with Benoit and Guerrero.
Basically - Raw would be of very high interest. Smackdown on the other hand, would be the perfect place to create new stars......since all of the other stars would be on Raw (I'm too lazy to further explain this, but I hope that made sense).

The other thing I like about my idea, is the glass ceiling could potentially be eliminated on both shows (atleast for the interim).......since each show would consist of upper-card wrestlers "on the same level".
Raw would have - Triple H, Angle, Big Show, Goldberg, Taker, etc......all 5 of these guys are 'on the same level', and so I don't think even Triple H (or Goldberg) would have a problem jobbing the title to these guys (although they probably would ask for a victory in the return match). Not the greatest scenerio in the world, but atleast they'd be willing to JOB.
With that being said, I also feel that a guy like Angle (or even Big Show)would be willing to put over someone like Jericho. In a sense, Angle would be the 'glue' guy on Raw, who eliminates the glass ceiling between the likes of Triple H from Jericho.
Meanwhile on Smackdown - everyone is a 'virgin'......in the sense that no one (other than Lesnar) will have been World Champion. Since Lesnar would need a NEW main-event level opponent in light of the departures of Taker, Show, and Angle, this is where a guy like RVD or John Cena 'steps up' and becomes a main-eventers
Since everyone would be in the 'same spot', I don't think anyone would feel insecure about jobbing (atleast initially).
