View Full Version : Will YOU!!! Be Ordering 'Turning Point'?

Turning Point
AJ Styles, Jeff Hardy & Macho Man V. Jeff Jarrett, Kevin Nash & Scott Hall-
I just hope this does not turn into a cluster fuck match. This should be the proving ground on where TNA should take this angle. If Styles-Nash match up fairly well, I would personally build a one on one match for the next TNA PPV, with Styles going OVER cleanly. It would be BIG for Styles if they could pull off a good match
-I wouldn't mind seeing a Hardy V. Hall match being built up, maybe a Ladder match with Hall going over. Hardy has looked pretty motivated in the past few weeks. I have not been able to see Tuesday's Impact so I am not too sure how Hall's in-ring game is.
-Hell, I'll give a one on one match between Jarrett and Savage a chance. Maybe the 'Kings of Wrestling' could get themselves some more backup which will allow Jarrett to retain and keep the angle going for a little while longer.
I believe this match will be more of a test to see where TNA should go with this angle because if Hall, Nash & Savage absolutely suck in the ring... It will reak of WCW.
Abyss V. Monty Brown
-.... well, the TNA fans in the arena mark the fuck out with these guys so it should be a hot match. Monty Brown is getting better in the ring, he has a good look and is different. Abyss has some wicked moves and a good look as well. Monty Brown should win this match.
Diamond Dallas Page V. Raven
-I am both a DDP and a Raven mark, so you can only imagine how much I am looking forward to this match. I hope DDP still has IT in the ring. I have heard he has wrestled for a few independents but nothing major. Both of these stars have great in-ring psychology so I am fairly certain it will be a great match.
Petey Williams V. Chris Sabin
-Canadian Destroyer all the way Baby!@
AMW V. Triple X in a 6 Side Cage

Yeah, $20 is a lot more idealistic and would amount to more buys. However, TNA has lost $15 million because it took 2 years to get enough exposure in order to get a TV deal.

If I had the cash, I absolutely would. Williams/Sabin should be - pardon the phrase - phenomenal. Also, you left out the Garza/Siaki/Dutt vs. Kash/Kazarian/Shane match, too. That's going to be a spotfest, but these guys all have awesome spots, so it's forgiveable. There's also a 3LK/Team Canada match for the Tag Titles.
Pretty good card, top to bottom, but I can't see spending $30 for it.

Your Scott Hall and Jeff Hardy match isn't a bad idea, but Scott Hall can't really wrestle that much anymore due do injury. So Hall in a ladder match now just can't happen. Even though Jeff Hardy is the best in a ladder match he has done them so often maybe he just have normal matches for a while.
I never order PPV's. This PPV does sound pretty good though, but not has good as Victory Road's card sounded.

It does indeed, but there have been many times where I thought certain matches in TNA would be a disaster but they always tend to turn out passable-good in the end. I have a good feeling this match will not be a disaster though.

AMW v.s. Triple X will steal the show, garaunteed. Their first steel cage match was the best cage match I've ever seen. Ever.

I think all of the matches stemming afterwards, depends on the type of match and quality of the match we see at Turning Point. If the match sucks... I'd just fire West and Tenay and hire...
Hall and Nash as the new commentators!
Or I would have Hall and Nash find new members and mentor them. I could see Michael Shane fitting in well with those two. And I'd still like to see a Hardy heel turn.

Hall and Nash would be great as full time comentators in TNA. I would still hold on to Tenay though, because he can do play by play rather well.
The Hardy heel turn would be nice to see

I thought it was good but I did not think it was the greatest. I saw their match at Victory Road and it was a decent match but it seemed really disorganized and I think Skipper was injured during the match though.

Did they have a cage match at victory road? Because that's not the one I was talking about. I havn't been that up to date on TNA lately

It was a last team standing match.

Like all you guys have said, if it was $20, yes I would.
Yeah, AMW/XXX is going to steal it, but just don't let Elix get hit in the head please.
Wlilliams/Sabin should be great.
The six man is going to be what it is. AJ and Jeff are going to have to carry it. Should be decent though.
Abyss/Monty have been having great brawls.
DDP/Raven storyline I really like. Bringing Watts in is great. Good history there. Love that.
Impact Ruled Today BTW. I'm thinking Savage is turning on Styles and Hardy in the match by the way Impact ended today.

Here are the spoilers:
Monty Brown pounces Abyss onto the thumbtacks.
Raven Jobs To DDP
Sabin Jobs To Williams, due to Scott D'Amore's interference (has any Team Canada match ever been different?)
3LK Jobs The Titles Back To Team Canada (See Above)
XXX Loses The 6-Sides Of Steel and Breaks Up For A While
6-Man Match- Don't Know Yet (But Who Cares Anyway, It Was Thrown Together Last Minute)
Hardy/Styles/Savage Job To Jarrett (See LC's Post)
I missed Impact today though, there was grass growing outside of my house.

I would if I had PPV. FOr most PPV'S I would just read about it and then buy it. For Turning Point it's a whole lot harder because they can't sell it at any stores. If I wanted I could always buy it off E-bay anyways. I got Victory Road for 13 dollars that's plus S and H.

Yeah, I know which one you are talking about. I thought it was good but not great, I don't know though. I can't remember too much from it other than Harris or Storm jumping off the top with the leg drop for their tag team finisher. Maybe I'll go watch it again and see if my opinion has changed.

Eh i'll watch it...however, I steal sattelite signals.
I'm excited to see DDP in the ring again. Petey Williams vs Sabin should be decent, although both wrestlers are terribly overrated. I think XXX vs AMW should be fantastic and will definetly steal the show. The rest of the card looks like crap.

It looks pretty solid, and if TNA keep building their PPVs up, they can have some really magical moments on them, IMO. I think Turning Point should serve as a delay to a lot of feuds. So they can sort of have an eight week blowoff to some of them. Just something to change the eveness of TNA at the moment. I really don't know what I just said. Basically I think some feuds should be stretched, while others saved for a rainy day (right now TNA is cloudly, IMO).
I personally hope either Michael Shane, Kid Kash or AJ Styles joins the "Kings of Wrestling" stable. Mainly Shane or Styles. If it was AJ, you could have that classic mind game where the heels say that there is a traitor amonst the faces, which leads to Randy Savage being suspected. So much that Hardy doesn't tag in the Macho Man. This pisses off Savage who walks to the back (and could appear on only one Impact! after that claiming TNA can go to Hell if they don't want his help), and just as Hardy looks to tag in Styles, AJ jumps in and starts beating down Jeff. Jarret, Nash and Hall then beat-down Hardy, and they allow Hall to get the pin, claiming that Scotty is the true master of the Ladder Match. This can lead TNA down several different paths.

If i had the opportunity to buy it I would, but i guess i'll just download it the day after so i'm none the worse

If it was cheaper, prolly. But if this one turns out to be kick ass, I may consider getting their next one (its in January right?) But then again WWE has two PPVs next month. Ugh.
I missed Impact yesterday as well, but I did see it on Tuesday. Thought it was pretty good.

Why will you be ordering?
--------------
On a side note. I just downloaded (cuz I am a Canadian with no TNA) Tuesdays Impact and it seems like the fans will not allow the the Main Event 6 man tag team match become a shit match. I saw Styles V. Hall and the fans were so into it...
"Lets Go AJ!" "Lets Go Scott Hall!" "Lets Go AJ!" "Lets Go Scott Hall"
It was awesome. It is awesome how the fans are split like that.
Even a bad match can seem good if the fans are cheering, screaming and chanting like that.

Why will you be ordering?
Well I'm glad you asked ;). I plan on ordering TNA's Turning Point for several reasons.
1) As a young boy or pre-school age, I can recall cheering for my childhood idol, "The Macho Man" Randy Savage. And it is with that ounce of respect I still hold from by kid days and a dash of nostalgic hope that I wait to see if Savage can still tear it up in the ring. Of course my brain kicks in and reminds me he hasn't had a decent match in over a decade, but then that is once again silenced by boyhood mark-ishness.
2) The new Kings of Wrestling (old nWo) storyline has always been one of my favorites. It is always fun to see a pack of unstopable guys take on the hopeful fighters. If the Kings win I can find comfort in the idea they are seriously pushing these guys are major threats, if they lose I can always go back to my happy boyhood and say "Yeah Savage!"
3) Petey Williams is a young man who has impressed the piss out of me. Couple that with the fact that Chris Sabin is no slotch either and I get to plan on one hell of an exciting X-Division championship bout. Hopefully they don't show Scott too much.
4) As is writen by rules (though how often do organisations fallow them) this will be the absolute final time America's Most Wanted and Triple xXx fight each other as the losing team must disband. These two teams have had the greatest Tag rivalry since Edge and Christian battled the Boyz for a near two years. Their matches have been none stop greatness from bell to bell, and I plan on nothing less tonight...oh and by the by, Christopher Daniels is the great wrestler alive today.
5) (And maybe most important of all) Diamond Dallas Page takes on Raven. My favorite former WCW superstar takes on my favorite former ECW (and WCW, but mainly ECW) superstar in TNA's most compelling storyline right now. No matter who wins this bout, I will be happy.
I guess more so then anything, I find myself looking at this card saying I want every man to win. That is a position I have never been in before. I honestly want everyone to win their matches, so the way I see it, no matter what the outcomes are, I get to be happy...
but just for the sake of everything...I give you...
Nick's Picks
Hector Garza, Sonjay Dutt and Sonny Siaki over Kid Kash, Michael Shane and Frankie Kazarian
Team Canada over 3 Live Kru
Diamond Dallas Page over Raven
The Alpha Male Monty Brown over Abyss
America's Most Wanted over Triple xXx
Chris Sabin over Petey Willaims to become NEW NWA-TNA X-Divison Champion
The Kings of Wrestling over Randy Savage, Jeff Hardy, and A.J. Styles
