Was watching a couple of segments from 2003. This guy was hilarious, especially with the tourette-syndrome schtick

And one question. Why did WWE release him? :?:

Discuss great Goldust moments here.

Well, I loved his comedy sketches with Booker T, but I loved Goldust the most during his first run in the WWE when he was a strong Intercontinental champion and had Marlena and was playing mind games with the wrestlers. Those were really my favorite Goldust moments, before the WWE turned him into a joke.

Yeah, but even into a joke he was funny. He was the most funny after the backstage attack that electrified him, talking like ''Hey Goldberg, i wanted to be the first one to wel- wel- come you to the ww- ww- wwe-e-e-e''. I always loved Goldust.

When he was plain old Dustin runnels for about six months. He kept holding up signs saying "he's coming back". Everyone thought it was some religious reference. Then Val Venis stole Marlena while they were feuding. Val ended up beating Dustin. The next night on Raw, Val and Marlena were making out in the middle of the ring, when all of a sudden, Goldust's music hits. Then you here on the loud speaker" Oh VAAAAAALLLLL. I told you he was coming back."

Total mark out moment.

His WM street-fight with Roddy Piper.
Or his win over Razor Ramon.

I loved Goldust. I don't know why, but at the Royal Rumble 2002 when he returned he just sent shivers down my spine in a mixed kind of way. I wouldn't mind it if Goldust came back and joined SmackDown!, even in a non-wrestling role. Goldust in Layfield Corporation's Cabinet=entertaining television in my book. I can easily see JBL getting a gold limo, all members of the Cabinet wearing gold attire, and each with their own championships.

Goldust was always one of those people who could move up and down the ladder so easily. Can you image how over Charlie Haas would be right now if he teamed with Goldust instead of Rico? I'm not saying Rico was bad or anything, it's just Goldust, Jackie & Charlie could have been more of a long-term thing and could have lead to more interesting possibilites down the road. Not to mention that Goldust was more of a recognisable figure in wrestling.
