As requested by Legend Would He have come back to the WWE? maybe even have a part now. Im not going to go to in depth with this, Its been discussed over and over again. I think because of Owens death Bret would still stay away from WWE.

Goldberg never would have kicked him.

Goldberg never would have kicked him.

Yes he would have.

Bret was still going to WCW, WCW was still going to fuck up Bret's push.

I honestly don't think much would change. He'd get to go out the way he wanted. That's about it.

He'd go to WCW they'd still mess his character over and he'd still be taken out by Goldberg.

He'd probably stay away from the WWE because of Owen's death as you said. Though since he would still be on ok terms with Vince and actually get a DVD out.

If Bret never got screwed:

Bret would go to WCW with more heat, but would still get utterly crushed by the booking department. Nothing much would change about that.

Vince would have much more trouble getting his heel persona off the ground, without any real-life controversy to draw from. In turn, Stone Cold wouldn't get over quite so quickly without the hated Vince to play off of (he'd still be huge, no doubt, but it might take longer) Owen wouldn't get the "Time for a Change" push and would probably be buried as 'punishment' for Bret's misbehavior (see: Chavo Jr. when Eddie was acting up) The blow to his career would be bad, but the loss of momentum in his character could possibly have prevented his resurgence as the Blue Blazer and, all in all, could possibly have saved his life.

Of course, that's all just guess work.

If Bret Hart was never screwed WWF would of want out of business, and WCW would of won.

The Whole Mr. McMahon character was started after Montreal. Everyone knows that the Austin and McMahon feud saved WWF. So if Vince never screwed Bret the Mr. McMahon character is never created and the feud with Austin never happens. Then eventually WWF goes out of business and WCW is left standing.

Nowhere Man pretty said what I was thinking. Bret would have probably reutrned to WWE to work a program with Benoit or Jericho, before HBK returned.

CANADA wouldnt hate Vince, Shawn and Earl as much.

Vince, Shawn, and Earl would not hear: "YOU SCREWD BRET!", "YOU SCREWED BRET!" everytime they went to Canada

1: A few weeks after his final retention of the title, Bret would have moved to WCW. Bischoff, without hesitation, would give Bret the ultimatum of "Trash the title on national tv, and I'll push you to the moon...keep quiet about it, and you'll live in midcard hell for the rest of your career." And the decision would have already had been made long before Bret would have had a chance to think about it.

2: I don't think trashing the title on Nitro would have killed the WWE. It would have weakened them, but they would have remained on the air none the less. Eventually, WCW would still run their nWo thing, and they would have seen a rise and a fall. The WWE would still see better days with Foley, Rock, and Austin, but I agree that Austin wouldn't have had quite as much of a kick in the early goings. McMahon could have still had a staged "screwjob" that might have gotten himself similar heat and Austin's in ring work ethic would have helped, but still not quite the same.

3: Most importantly, this would have SEVERELY strained McMahon's trust in his workers. The Medusa thing and Nash/Hall leaving without much notice both strained it already, but today we might be seeing some really different behavior between wrestlers and management.

Now when you say Bret never got screwed, do you mean Bret would have gone along with Vince, been a man, and lost the title to Micheals cleanly, or do you mean Vince would have gone with Bret, let him hold the title till the day after and lose to another guy?

Either way, wrestling is fake, and Bret should realize that.

Yeah If Vince went along with the original plan is what it means.

Yes he would have.

Bret was still going to WCW, WCW was still going to fuck up Bret's push.

Actually debateable since he match itself was based around the Montreal Screwjob so without it whole different match.

We'd have a lot fewer retarded fanboys screaming "you screwed Bret."

We wouldn't have to relive 9 or ten times.

Canadian wrestling fans would have one fewer things to cry about.

What i find weird about this thread is it was the idea i was going to pm you with, the only bret hart match ive ever seen is the SS screwjob against Shawn micheals on my tape from 97,pretty good match overall, rest of the ppv sucked though.

Hmmm, I don't think that is possible being that there is only like 6,000,000,000 to 7,000,000,000 people on this earth, and most don't watch wrestling.
