Kurts not an overated wrestler, because he CAN actually wrestle. The Rock can dance around, and thats about it.

Do define overrated "wrestler" for me???

Bret Hart. "Best there is, Best there was..... blah blah" The guy was average, at best. The Sharpshooter looks much better on superstars such as the Rock - and spitting at "Grampa" Shawwwwwwnnnn Michaels is just dirty. All he did was wriggle around, posing in his PVC pants.... there are many better wrestlers around who havent recieved the same push as he did....

The Game

I agree with Beadles Claw, over-rated is a difficult criteria to judge, but if we jusdge over-rated on those wrestlers who were given pushes that weren't justified then I would say the following-

Over-Rated: Jericho, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels.
Under-Rated (Not pushed as much as should have been): Hulk Hogan, Goldberg, Triple H.

That's a very immature response. "The Game" responded to the previous post accordingly - just because the view is different to yours doesnt make it any less valid, and certainly doesnt agree with an uncouth response from a P.C Thug.

Go to bed, little boy.

Christopher Daniels - He's a really good worker, and can put on a helluva match, but people on the net talk about him like he's friggin Kurt Angle.

John la Rock

There is NO WAY IN HELL That The Rock is Overated. NO ONE AND I MEAN NO ONE can cut a better promo than the great one and he is also a great worker. He deserved all the success he's had so far.

As for as the most overrated Id say Goldberg

Yeah I know Bret sucks. All he ever did was put on great match after great match for 15 yrs. His matches with Owen, Dynamite, Perfect, Bulldog, Shawn, Austin, Rockers, Demolition, Brainbusters, Piper, Benoit are some of the worst matches of all-time. He was an a**hole too as he always was willing to put whomever over and never whined or complained about it. What a jackass.

Yeah really, do you people know what underated even means.

Underated wrestlers for me are guys like Orient Express, Hakushi, Killer Bees, Heel Doink (Matt Borne), Lance Storm. Guys who are all good workers but never really got the appreciation they deserevd.

Overrated

Brock Lesner, Kane, Sting, Hulk Hogan, Mark Henry, Big Show, Mic Foley (Sorry but he's not that great of a wrestler), Buff Bagewell, the list goes on and on so i'll stop now

Foley.

He was an awesome bumper, but every "great" match he ever had was either a spotfest or he was carried by someone like the Rock or HBK.

in terms of personal belief, I'm sick and tired of havin the "Legend Licker" Randy Suckass shoved down my throat every week when there are guys like Mark Jindrak and Sean O'Haire with talent who get no exposure.
As for being pushed and labelled great for no earthly reason-again, Orton and I think Brock from time to time as being overrated, get him out the main event and let other guys show their stuff. I would also have to say (as strange as it sounds) Trish, highly overrated, granted its different rankings completely.

Rated by who?

See, there's the KAYFABE rating. People like HHH, Kane, Taker, Big Show, Austin.

Then, there's the fan and "smark" ratings. People like Rocky, Jericho, Angle, Benoit, depending on your typical disposition.

Almost all of the internet favorites are overrated. Nobody's as good as some of these people are hyped to be, no matter how awesome Bret Hart, Kurt Angle, and Chris Benoit are.

Similarly, almost all the Main eventers who are hyped are overrated by the WWE. There are a ton of factors into who is "overrated" and who isn't, because for every rating, there's a counterpoint.

Moron. First of all, the moves a wrestler does doesn't make a great wrestler. It's how it's all put together. Mick Foley doesn't do many moves, but he's a great wrestler because of the way he puts his matches together. There's guys like The Amazing Red, Jeff Hardy, etc, who do a shitload of moves, but they suck because they can't put a match together. Also, I highly doubt a lot of the roster can do a dozen German suplexes in one match.

Angle is one of the greatest in ring performers ever. He can do everything in the ring, and he's great outside of the ring as well. He might be the most total package wrestling has ever seen. Really, what's overrated about him? The guy can brawl like Foley, mat wrestle like Chris Benoit, cut promos like The Rock, and has a moonsault that puts most crusierweights to shame. He also has no ego backstage, causes no problems, and works his ass; willing to work through career ending, even life threatening injury. It's just a shame that he won't get to accomplish as much as he could have.

Over-Rated: Jericho, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels.
Under-Rated (Not pushed as much as should have been): Hulk Hogan, Goldberg, Triple H.
I won't even touch that.

Also, The Rock rules.

I really dont think that Angle is one of the greatest ever. Hes only been in the WWE for about 4 and a bit years while others (Benoit,Guerrero,Flair) have wrestled much longer and around the world.

yeah, Angle is relatively fresh, but I don't think he's overated, since he puts all his effort into what he does.

My opinions:

Batista: Sorry, but I think he's still green. When he first came to the business he was madly overpushed (entry number 26 at RR alog with Kane, Taker, and Brock :wtf: ). His skill isn't top notch, and needs more experinece. Evolution isn't doing him much good because he doesn't exactly fit in. HHH is the leader, Flair is the legend, and Orton is the blue chipper, that makes Batista the monster/bodyguard of Evolution which is a stale gimmick. He needs to go solo, get some mic skills, and should turn face to get more over.

The Dudleyz: They're past their prime. They haven't used the tables in a while which is pretty much their whole gimmick. The rest isn't all that great. The Dudleyz were at their prime in ECW and WWE up until the roster split. Splitting them up for that short period of time killed them. When they got back together I felt they lost the charisma they once had, and haven't gotten it back since.

Eric Bischoff: I've said this time and time again, Bischoff is overused and terrible as a heel GM. Bischoff gets as much, if not more TV time than Triple H, and it's only to make some blatantly superficial statement or angle. I would have much rather had Austin stay as GM after Survivor Series, as odd as that sounds.

Notice they're all on RAW?
