is the baddest motherfucker to ever live. All of his movies are sweet, and he kicks ass in them too.

See:

Zatoichi: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0363226/

Violent Cop: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098360/

Boiling Point: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098967/

Brother: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0222851/

Hana-BI: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119250/ (My favorite)

Indeed. There is one movie he did that is kind of a drama/comedy thing where he is just kinda travelling with some random kid.

But seriously, movie wise I've only seen Zatoichi, and I liked it.

Yeah I bought Hana-bi, Dolls, and Zatoichi off eBay. Haven't watched them yet though.

Anyway, Takashi Miike is way better. His movies are the most fucked up movies ever.

Cheque out:

Audition
Gozu
Ichi the Killer
Visitor Q
The Happiness of the Katakuris

Dead or Alive (http://imdb.com/title/tt0221111/) is pretty fucked up alright(well, the ending is anyways). Its the only movie of his that I've seen though.

Check out Audition, seriously. It is so great. Thinking about it now, holy shit, so good. I saw it at a midnight movie theater screening and like ten old people walked out in disgust.

Is that the one where the girl gives birth to her brother or something. I remember you talking about that.

I tried to get my cousin to watch Audition, and he stopped about halfway through apparently because it was too "lovey doovy".

I told him to watch it all

He is just such a badass though. Like in Hana-Bi, some guy in a bar makes a wise crack towards him, so he grabs some chop sticks and SHOVES THEM THROUGH THE GUYS EYE. Wow.

Also, he got half of his face ripped off by a motorcycle in real life, and he is STILL acting. What a champion.

Yea i've seen Sonatine and Brother. Sonatine wasn't how I thought it would be... but it was still fantastic. Really wanna see Hana-Bi though.

Takeshi Kitano is in Battle Royale also.

That's the only one of his movies that I've seen.

I was going to watch Zatoichi but then it didn't work.

I was mostly talking about movies he directed, but yes Battle Royale kicked ass as well. Its just really, really disturbing.

He's in Merry Christmas Mister Lawrence, a British POW film. Awesome film.

That ending had me rolling with laughter though!

The book has a much better, non-comical, ending.

Kikujiro
Yeah. It's the kinda movie you watch on a Sunday Afternoon when there is nothing better to do.

Pretty good shit.

They should have kept the pencil scenes in :)

Saw Zatoichi yesterday. Wasn't anything special. There seemed to be a lot of pointlessness in it.
