Patriots are gross. Bengals racked up yards on the D but they just wouldn't let them score. Harrison rocked Rudi and he coughed it up inside the 10.

I haven't seen or heard anything else going on in the NFL...what's the deal?

B. He is a rookie, doesn't know the system

Rain Man
12-12-2004, 04:35 PM

Jesus Shuttlesworth
12-12-2004, 04:57 PM
Giants just have nothing going for them, its not all Eli's fault. Forget the wide recievers. How is he suppose to throw when he is getting pressured all game? I don't care if he pans out or not, Giants fucked themselves over trading all those draft picks for him though. Is he really worth THAT much more then Phillip Rivers?

How many yards was the TDIt was a one yard TD..Why does that even matter? It's not like he didn't carry the ball before that and get it down to the one or anything. I guess you can only respect TDs when they come after a long run or something. Last time I checked, a touchdown counted the same if its 99 yards or 1 yard.
LOL@ His 88 yards, his 1 TD and the win he picked up

Yeah they did some stupid stuff, but those first two pass interferances were horrible calls as was the holding Im guessing because they didn't show the replay on it.
The personal foul that gave them a first down was pathetic as well. The guy was already in the process of hitting him when Harrington started to slide. You could even see him try to hold up when he could have gave him a head shot. Ridiculous
Barnett needs to realize that they are playing like crap and stop celebrating after every tackle..
road doggy dogg
12-12-2004, 05:53 PM
The pass interferences were questionable. What confuses me more is how the shit in the Vikings/Seahawks game wasn't called, yet two iffy calls like that were made.
The personal foul was a good call. Harrington was down, he didn't even try to move out of his way. And Barnett is an idiot.
The Outlaw
12-12-2004, 06:07 PM
I thought the personal foul was iffy too. It showed the replay a few times and the announcers even questioned it. He was already diving to him when he started to slide, so I'm not sure if they wanted him to stop mid dive or what.
The Miz

Seahawks are 7-6. Which doesn't matter, since I did not mention the Seahawks at all. I was talking about the Patriots. Why you brought them up is beyond me. If I liked the Steelers and made the same exact post then what would you say?
Regardless of his numbers, Dillon was a non-factor today. Yeah he had carries on the drive he scored the TD but 60 of the 84 yards on that drive were through the air. Like 10 of his yards were running down the clock yards. Yeah his team won, but he talked shit and had a very average game.

Jake Plummer makes me miss Danny Kanell starting
He makes me miss John Elway. Losing isn't all bad though. At least we wont have to see them get killed by the Colts in the Wildcard game two years in a row. :-\
FearedSanctity
12-12-2004, 07:31 PM
Eh, wasn't a pretty win, but we got it.
No argument there about the Elway thing. I just think most Denver fans constantly expect whoever line up under center for them to be the next Elway. It'll be a while before that happens.
If Denver can get the #1 Wildcard spot, they should get to play @ SD. That'd be A LOT better than @ Indy.
However, if Denver gets eliminated from the playoffs, I think they should give Matt Mauck and Bradlee Van Pelt a chance to show what they've got.
road doggy dogg
12-12-2004, 07:42 PM
Man, even though the Lions blew that game and should have won, that was a great game to watch. Aside from all the penalties, good close game.
DaveBrawl
12-12-2004, 07:42 PM
Yeah Van Pelt looked decent from what I saw (although I don't get to see much in Va.). The only thing is I don't think they can catch the Jets to get the first spot. I have a lot hope for Plummer and I don't believe he's the biggest part of the problem from what I've seen. I mean he doesn't make the best choices by any means, but he doesn't seem to have anyone who can catch the ball outside of Rod Smith, I mean last week was horrible all those tips. I don't know how they did today though, I haven't seen any stats or highlights other than around half time so he may have been horrible today.
road doggy dogg

Since you made a crack about Dillon saying the Bengals won't be succesful or something along those lines
You're right..I have no reason to bring up the Seahawks, and I didn't...Nice litte rant though :y:
Dillon didn't have a huge 150 yard rushing game, but he was pretty solid. He never even talked shit, he just didn't feel he'd ever win in Cinncy like he is winning now. And by looking at the records 12-1 is just a TAD better then 6-7 (Just incase you didn't catch it the 1st time thats the Bengals record, not the Seahawks, I wouldnt bring them up because me and you both know they are horrible anyways)
Gertner
12-12-2004, 08:14 PM

But he's a non-factor.
Jesus Shuttlesworth
12-12-2004, 08:41 PM
Also, saying he got most of his yards running out the clock DOES make him a factor. Running out the clock is a huge part of the game when you are only ahead by 7 points.

My fault about the records thing. I'm used to VEL bringing up the Seahawks if I ever make a point about something else.
It's not like the Bengals are terrible. 6-7 is a respectable record considering the circumstances. Rookie QB + losing their best offensive player in off season. Corey Dillon is just being a dick, and he didn't have the kind of game to back it up.

He also out played Rudi Johnson, which is something I am sure he wanted to do. I am not sure of Rudi's stats, I don't think he had as many yards as Dillon, but even if he did Rudi coughed it up inside the 10
