Do you think women's wrestling can attract more casual fans if they treated it right? A good example was Trish vs. Lita in the RAW main event, and it was pretty entertaining IMO.
Should they give more exposure to the women's division or keep it limited? BDC's thread made me think.
Replace the pointless T&A garbage with more air time for the women's division. They got a solid roster there.
I'm sure this would bring in more female fans. We guys have our own favorite (male) wrestlers. This could work the same way with the female audience.

That won't happen anytime soon because apparently Vince hired all the girls from the RDS, because he wants more T&A on the show. It brings in young male viewers after all.
If they're going to improve the women's division, they need to hire more women who can wrestle. Watch any female match from japan. It's better than a lot of the matches in WWE male or female.

I agree with u.....That Lita/Trish match was entertaining. There have been a few matches that were entertaining to me this year with the women in it. Sure the T&A stuff will attact fans but I guess after youve watched wrestling for a while you have seen all the T&A there is. Now most of the girls they get are from Playboy or have done some sort of modeling so if you have a comp you can just look stuff up.
I think they should start doing matches on Raw with the women. Some of them would turn out to be good. It just all depends on what the WWE decides to do.

I think they should feature more female matches. The cheap T & A is totally pointless, unless they plan on doing full on porn.
Random female wrestling trivia: Did you know that the Death Valley Driver was actually invented by a chick?

Actually I did know that, and it is something they should bring up quite a bit when Cena uses the F-U. A woman doing a move like that better than him, that might force the WWE to start getting him to do the original version of the move.
I think if they bring in that Japanese wrestler they have udner contract (sorry Funky, I can't remember which one they had), and if they brought up some of the seven or so women they have in OVW, they could really get a division going.
And although this isn't going to happen, REHIRE GAIL F'N KIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BTW: I just noticed that on the OVW website they don't have Lulu's bio up anymore. Does anyone know of her status?

Ok, IMO Gail Kim was pretty shitty in the ring. She always looked sloppy

I didn't even notice the cocks family at first.
I'm not a big fan of womens wrestling or a big fan of the T&A segments. I just think women should be managers like in the old days. Thats just me though.

Nice sig. :y:
And yeah, I get what you mean. When she was first heading up from developementals I was excited, because I had heard FANTASTIC things about her. Then she seemed so basic I couldn't believe it was the La Felina I heard about.
She was just starting to turn around when she started using submission moves, and I hate to say this, but Trish Stratus stole Gail Kim's push.
But I find it funny in the WWE's quest for T&A, they let go of Gail, when this woman was told she had to wear a mask when she wrestled because she was too hot. It would have been greta if she wrestled in a skirt or something just to be different. The women's division was something the WWE could be proud of. I wonder how Fit Finlay feels about this?

I think by this time next year there won't be a Women's Divison.

I live in Buffalo and was there when she won the title on her Debut. To say Iwas disapointed in her performance was an understatment. She was hyped as a female mysterio, just because she could do a hurricanrana.
But then she came back a couple months ago and started chain wrestling, and pulling out all these crazy submissions. Needless to say I became a Gail mark, quick.
I would love to see a triple threat match between her, molly, and victoria.

The Japanese wrestler under WWE contract is Takako Inoue. Finlay is stil helping her adjust to American wrestling.

Thanks, man. I really hope they bring her in quick. Give her the title at WrestleMania in her debut match. Have her booked as the female Ultimo Dragon or something.

Personally Gail Kim vs. Trish Stratus vs. Victoria vs. Molly Holly would do it for me.

I don't think having her debut and win at WrestleMania would be too good of a thing.
But as far as the women's division go. Ever since teh Raw Diva Search began it was crap. It's like all WWE wants to market about the women nowadays is T&A. They already did that back when Miss Kitty was the women's champ*shudders
Then they finally began to make it more serious by having real women wrestlers compete for the belt. And Trish worked her butt off to become a more than decent wrestler. They brought in Victoria, Jazz, then Tough Enough 2 the two winners were female. They were really looking like they were going to do something with the female division. Then they brought in Gail Kim.
Now look where we are. They dropped a real women's wrestler in Jazz, and then they also dropped Gail Kim. Now we are left with Trish, Lita, Victoria, and Molly. Then we have loads of crappy divas like Stacy, Christy, and all those other bimbos. THen on SD! there isn't even a division. Miss Jackie is in there all by herself. I forgot Raw also dropped Nidia and she was really beginnnin to step it up. It's like they want to cycle back to the attitude era without the attitude.
WWE can do so much better without all the T&A. The talent is there but they jsut aren't usin it. They prefer to show us women in bras and panties hitting each other with pillows and playin limbo.
I say bring back the women's division.

I know this may be an unpopular move in some people's eyes, but I say let these T&A divas wrestle. Have Trish Stratus vs. Maria Kanellis, and have it serve as a complete squash. It wouldn't accomplish anything, but I think having these women do something relevent (even if they aren't trained to do it) is better than having them waste a large portion of the WWE's money.

seein them in the ring? Remember Ms. Gayda's WWE debut in the ring? that was ugly. Just imagine that bein 10 times worse. that is the most likely scenario of havin one of those T&A girls in the ring.

I still say they should look oversees for some of their talent. Japan has really good female wrestlers to spare, and by really good I mean better than half the men's locker room in the WWE.
The most bad ass finisher I've ever seen performed by a woman was this insane variation of a German suplex, where she crossed her opponent's arms and put her head between her opponent's legs and just drilled her victim's head into the mat and held it for a bridge.

Isn't that like a Japanese Ocean Suplex or something? I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure their is a Japanese Ocean Suplex that involves the crossing of the arms like a straightjacket.

Yeah, there are 2 variations of it. The insane elevated one I mentioned and the regular one that's closer to German suplex.

Cool. :y:
I wish occasionally they'd let one or two of those moves out in a match.
