...This is pointless...but I realised that Jericho and Hunter are now the only two men to be in all 3 of the E.C. Matches...

And since we already saw Hunter leave one of them as Champ...maybe...eh...no your right... :(

Poor Jericho.

I see one of two people walking out of the Chamber with the title. Triple H or Batista. Batista's being built up nicely, and although a bit early, I could see him beating Triple H and winning the title. Either way, I have a feeling that it will come down to Batista and Triple H in the final two, or one of them eliminating the other.

Way, WAY too soon for Batista. he should win the IC title first.

well batista's had tag title runs with flair.

if jericho comes out of that thing as champ, everyone on this forum gets a positive rep

I can't wait until the day Jericho snaps, realises that he is rich now and dosn't really NEED to keep wrestling, shoots on Hunter in the middle of a World Title Match, makes Hunter tap, throws down the title belt, pisses on it on LIVE RAW TV, pays the $50,000 fine or whatever, and opens up Fozzy Wrestling Federation............ :shifty:

lol i always wondered that.

Has a wrestler close to being fired/quitting/contract ending ever done stupid things in a match? Like kick out of a finisher, or actually try making the guy tap out.. haha that would be hilarious

The only thing that I know about is that right before Jarrett had to fight Chyna in that house cleaning match or what ever it was that Jarrett had his last match in. His contract ended the day before so he refused to wrestle that night unless the WWE gave him alot of money.

Thats all I know about.

The Naitch
12-17-2004, 01:20 PM
they'd probably be sued or something if they tried to pull a stunt right before their contract end. Like if Jericho did a shoot on Triple H, Jericho would be fucked. It's probably in writing somewhere

Shaggy
12-17-2004, 01:31 PM
yea I bet its in there contracts or something like that. something along the lines of if they do this when they attempt to screw something up or injure someone when they know there contract is almost up that they can be sued or fines or something along those lines.

Ive never seen something like that on TV but at an Indy thing over here there was a hardcore match and one of the wrestlers accidently punched the other one full speed in the stomach and they just started beating the crap out of each other right there. Security broke it apart and ended the match right away. We all thought it was fake but later on we had dinner with one of the wrestlers and he said that it was all real and that because of what that other guy did he was never allowed to work with them again.

Well...if our experience with Hardcore Holly has proven anything, it's that if you start to shoot on a wrestler it will cost $10,000...I am pretty sure Jericho could swing that.

The only one that really comes to mind at this hour is William Regal (Lord Steven Regal, at the time) refusing to have an squash match with Goldberg (I don't blame him). Regal has an 'old-school' mentality to the business, and believed that Goldberg hadn't deserve this. Instead, he worked extremely stiff, and gave Goldberg extremely little offense in the match, but he did eventually job, but it tainted Goldberg's dominant monster run. Apparently, as soon as he walked through the curtains, he was fired.

I can't think of any other examples, but probably after a rest, I will remember some other incidents. Certain people are ringing bells in my head for their in-ring stupidity (Teddy Hart and Paul Roma). but I can't remember what exactly they did.

Yeah, Randy Orton does suck... as a face. When he was HEEL he was the MVP of the WWE. AND I wish someone would knock the Honky Tonk Man's IC reign out of the record books.

Orton would be great as a heel again. Just have him lay down for The Game at New Year's Revolution. Then have Randy Orton vs. Batista at the Royal Rumble, and Randy Orton vs. The Rock at WrestleMania.

I noticed that to.

Let's see

3 Elimination Chamber match's

Competed in all 3
Triple H
Chris Jericho

Competed in 2 of 3
Shawn Michaels
Randy Orton

Competed in just the 1 of 3
Chris Benoit
Edge
Batista
Goldberg
Kevin Nash
Kane
Booker T
RVD.

Personally id rather not see Triple H win we will just be forever reminded how he has dominated these matches. Ah well.

I see Jericho winning the chamber match by eliminating Batista. Batista then wins the rumble to face Jericho at WMXXI. Batista beats Jericho clean for the title (HHH won't run in and help because he doesn't want Batista to win, but he doesn't interfere against him because Batista is in Evolution with him.) Then HHH comes out and shakes Batista's hand and all that and thanks him for bringing the title back to Evolution.

The next night on Raw, we see HHH demand that Batista lay down for him and give him his title back, and flair agrees, saying that HHH deserves to be champion because he is the game. After several unsuspected stars (Benoit, Orton, Jericho even) come by to try and convince Batista not to lay down to HHH, that he is the man now, we see Batista make his way to the ring in a depressed mood.

The match starts and HHH tells Batista to lay down, which he does, but as soon as the ref counts two, Batista rolls up HHH and gets the three count for the win. HHH then gets up shocked, and tries to punch Batista, who blocks it, and proceeds to whoop HHH's candy ass as Raw goes off the air...

Meh, I can dream.

Papa shango was doing a run in but he was slow in getting to the ring so sid had to kick out of the legdrop to avoid the 3 count.

I hate to say it, but I think you're right. It's a shame, because IMO Jericho was the MVP of the original Chamber.

Storyline wise, jericho doesn't even have a reason to be there. Batista's got gold glittering in his eyes, and he's struggling between taking it for himself or being loyal to HHH. HHH is nothing without his title and being the former champ wants it back. Orton got screwed by HHH and now that the title's up for grabs he's finally got the shot that he's been denied the past three months. Benoit is being labeled the best wrestler of the bunch, and the only reason he doesn't get the belt is because he keeps getting screwed. And Edge keeps going on about how he never even got a proper shot at the title.

But when did Jericho vocalize his desire for the belt? There are plenty of guys who have said more about the belt than Jericho did when the oppertunity came up. Maven gave up his chance to join Evolution so he could fight for the belt. Christian has said that there's only one belt left in his crosshairs. Hell, Stevie Richards took on five guys at once to get it. But when Jericho was the GM, he did nothing. He didn't even say, "We'll figure this out in a fatal four-way tonight." which was perfectly valid. Instead, he had his party and forgot about it.

Face it. The only reason Jericho's even in the match is because Management knows that he's a draw. If they mention him under their breath, we'll think that Jericho will get the title.

Of course, now that I've mentioned it, the writing team will probably give up on all of their current storylines and will give Jericho the belt, have HHH feud with Rick Flair, have Batista team up with edge to take the tag belts from Eugene and Mr. Socko, (his new partner, since the writers/bookers couldn't remember who his real partner was...) Evolution will be spelled "Evvolooshun" Shawn Michaels will show up to Smackdown for no reason and Raw's announcing team will be replaced with a talking RVD action figure....

In other words, don't count out all hope... Jericho might have been placed there for a reason. (But with RR coming up, don't count on it.)

Christian has said that there's only one belt left in his crosshairs.

When did he say that? WWE are making it out like the only title Christian cares about is the IC title for some reason.

I remember he said something before he was injured. Jericho said that after he was done with Christian he was going to set his eyes on the world title (and where did that go) and then Christian said that he was going to be the one moving on to the world title. Missed out on a chance to make these two real main event players there....

It was a while back, but I remember his speech. It was the "Baby goes to sleep" speech. He was talking about how he has everything he wants except the world title. it's kinda reinforced by his Bio on WWE.com. (I like to read what the WWE releases from time to time because I think they leave hints to future storylines.)

Chris Jericho has a short history of being in matches for little obvious reason, and still doing well. The Undisputed Championship is the ebst example of this I can think of. Jericho won the tournament despite being the guy last on the list to win it. Basically Jericho's held the World Championship before, and now he wants that taste in his mouth again. The WWE probably won't give us more reason to cheer for Jericho than that, but I would put him above Benoit and Orton on my list as to who will win the Championship at NYR. Orton also has a good possibility, but they'd probably take the title of him quickly, which is something I'm not sure they'd want to do.

Batista, HHH, Jericho, and Benoit should be the final four in the match. Batista and HHH should team up against Jericho and Benoit.

Possibility 1: HHH and Batista get a whole lot of near falls. When it looks that Benoit and Jericho are finished HHH is just about to pin one of them, but Batista turns HHH around, kicks him in the gut, and hits his powerbomb. 1-2-3. After a good long fight, Benoit and Jericho make Batista tap out via the Walls and Crossface. Thus setting up Jericho and Benoit having the greatest match ever. Jericho comes out the winner.

Possibility 2: Same as 1, but HHH and Batista manage to pin Jericho. They beat Benoit up. When HHH is about to pin Benoit, Batista powerbombs HHH and pins him. Batista and Benoit have a surprisingly great match, but Benoit makes Batista tap. Benoit is the new champ.

Jericho wins the Rumble and beats Benoit at WM XIX.

Wow that would be a dream.
