Although little is known as of yet, it appears that WWE is set to revive ECW from the dead to put on a pay per view show. The ECW PPV is going to take place on 6/5/05 in New York City at the Hammerstein Ballroom. The ballroom was the site of ECW's final two PPV events.
Many are pushing for Tommy Dreamer and Paul Heyman to be at the wheel of this operation, as this could be a make or break experience for old and new fans of Extreme Championship Wrestling.

I for one have mixed feelings about this. While ECW is a forgotten but still remembered tribe of wrestling and has a lot of fans, if the WWE are thinking of bringing it back on a part-time or even a full-time basis, I can't help thinking it would be watered down and will not have the ECW feel (even with it being in an arena where previous ECW events have taken place). What are your views?
