found some mix cd's I had made awhile ago, and ripping them back to my HD since I lost all my music when my old HD died.

Problem is, there all .cda files and show up w/o any info so I've been listening to each one and in some cases going online to look up artists/title.

Is there a way to convert .cda so I get the original title? or is that gone when I burned it as a music cd isntead of mp3's?

CoolEdit Pro or Adobe Audition should do it

CDex (http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/) to rip them into MP3 format... doubt you'll get the ID3 tags back though.

I can rip them back to mp3, but when it does it just gives it a generic name "Track 1".

will this program change that? or is that what you mean by ID3 tag?
