Sound... or lack of...

when I play mp3's no problem.

But I don't get sound from web-sites or even if I go into properties and press play to test different system sounds.

any ideas?

strange that MP3s will play, but not systems sounds...try going to c:\windows\media

thats where all your systems sounds are stored, and try opening them with whatever you use for MP3s, does that work? or is there even any sounds in there?

I play them and get no sound, same w/ things of the web.

But, mp3's and mpegs etc... movies and music play no problem.

are you sure your midi volume setting isn't muted?

Have you tried setting your MIDI playback config?
