Interesting that unibrow Matt Striker agreed to get squashed by Angle, can't really see why he'd agree to do that.

That would have been great if Moore rolled up JBL for the win....... :)

Anyone else know why they are now dressing up Moore like a member of the road warriors right now?

Man reading the spoilers for Smackdown seem just as bad as actually watching Smackdown. Pathetic matches there.

They need Angle to get some clean wins over people who the fans actually know. Especially if he's going to be in the WWE Title match...

Eh... Angle can be easily built up in like a month. Hell, they moved Benot from midcard to main even in a month last year prior to Wrestlemania. Well, prior to Royal Rumble really.

...Wow...way to make a bold move there WWE...advertise a "Night of Champions" and don't have a single title change hands...
And while I'm at it, while I enjoy my man Moore getting some much deserved attention, why did they throw him in the WWE Title match? JUST FUCKING GIVE THE CRUISERWIGHT TITLE TO SHANNON ALREADY! At least he still does great matches.

I think Ultimo will take the CW Title atthe Royal Rumble.

This is why I won't pay to see a smackdown event or PPV.
Main event were 4 faces going at it for the tag belts. Can't remember the last time that happened

I kind of figured everyone was keeping their belts tonight when I saw the advertisement during RAW this previous Monday...it's alright though, JBL WILL lose the WWE Championship to Show in a title match @ Rumble, at least that's what I'm thinking as of right now...seeing as how B.S. has been "stalking" J.B.L. lately...

Actually forget what I said, this Smackdown was pretty good. Interesting segments, some pretty good matches (except for JBL's match), some interesting storyline developments, a pretty good show.

Dude, I loved the Puder/Holly showdown segment. That was pretty awesome, and Puder showed more charisma in that segment than he did in all of the Tough Enough challenge combined. That was pretty hilarious and cool. Puder acting as a cocky rookie, possibly turning heel (depends on how the audience responds to Holly) is pretty cool.
The crowd was pretty stupid though. The "WHAT?" chants were pretty damn annoying, but it's the South, so naturally they're still caught in three years ago. Kurt's "BUCKO" comment was pretty hilarious, but too bad the crowd screwed up the chant. But that's pretty great.
Not a bad show so far. :D

I dunno how many times this has happened lately, maybe someone is telling us not to read spoilers, but the spoilers compared to the show is a big difference. Its happened quite a bit lately where the spoilers make the show seem horrible, but when you watch it, its much better.
JBL finally gets a win without outside interference, even though not a worthy opponent, Angle hopefully gets the title at the Rumble, we are now apart of Cena's "Chain Gang", and Eddie actually got caught cheating which was hilarious. So SmackDown wasnt a bad show.

Yeah, I loved the whole Cena thing, even though it was obvoius. But the little "Zach Morris look at the camera" bit was gold.
And Eddie getting caught was pure hilarity.

I think it would be pretty stupid to take the title off JBL at this point. I mean why spend 7 months building him up as champion, only to then lose it in a throwaway title match at the Rumble? And to anothe rheel no less?
My guess is that JBL retains by pinning Kurt. But they will do it in a way where Show is the one who actually does the damage to Kurt, and JBL just steals the pin after Show is distracted by the Cabinet.
That sets up JBL vs Show for NWO, which is made because JBL didn't pin Show at the Rumble. And its made a (Barb Wire) Cage match to keep the Cabinet from interfering. JBL gets bloodied in this match, but survived after Lesnar comes out from underneath the ring and F-5's Show. JBL escapes the cage or pins Show, and JBL goes to Mania as the champ to lose to Cena.

God I hope not JBL has had a HHH title reign with none of the skills

Only thing I don't like about that is that you get a title change after a one month feud. Which is the only problem... they need to start sowing the seeds now.
And the more I think about it, the more I tend to agree with it, as much as I think JBL still doesn't deserve it. He's already had it 7 months. 3 more won't really do much damage. At this point, it's like burning ashes. It's already burnt to a crisp, so more fire won't do much now. At least this way, you can say they were thorough.

Well I figure they will have the top guys interacting with JBL heading into the Rumble.
But even if Cena were to win the Rumble, he could have his first major angle with JBL the first week of February. Mania isn't until the first week of April this year, so thats a good two months to build the program.
Since they have NWO in the middle, they will need to build up the possibility of Show vs Cena as well as JBL vs Cena. With Show, I would have Cena team up with him to fight off the Cabinet. They could then do some vignettes where they talk about the possibility of facing each other at Mania. Cena would say it'll be a repeat of last year, F-U and I win the belt. But of course this would be just meaningless banter because JBL would obviosuly retain.
If you recall in 2001 they didn't really start the Austin-Rock program until about 6 weeks out form the show, and it was built really well. So I think they could do the same here. Cena would be on this huge role, JBL would be seen as the guy who nobody seems to be able to beat, but then of course Cena overcomes all the obstacles and wins the belt. Since its a short fued, they could even continue it past Mania, with a rematch at Judgment Day or whatever.
