UnderTaker goes first with a respectable elimination from Batista... Kane eliminates Booker T leaving Cena the only man for SmackDown! in the match.... Cena eliminates HBK and Kane and the crowd goes nuts... Cena, Benjamin and Batista are the final 3 men in the match... Benjamin is eliminated by Batista and Cena and Batista battle it out... Cena pulls out all the stops and looks as though he will win, but Batista gets out off the ground in a fury of rage and powerslams Cena followed by a spinebuster out the ring... Batista wins, Batista wins, Batista wins... HHH comes out and attacks Batista from behind with the same sledgehammer used earlier on Orton... Orton limps out and gets laid out... HHH is left standing in the mdidle of the ring with both the World Champion and Royal Rumble Winner laying at his feet...

World Heavyweight Championship

Funaki (champion) vs. Spike Dudley vs. Billy Kidman vs. Paul London vs. Nunzio vs. Chavo Guerrero

- Paul London wins the Cruiserweight championship in about 12 minutes in an exciting match...

World Women's Championship
Lita (champion) vs. Victoria

- Stale division as of late... Just looking for a new challenger... I really don't care who wins... 7-8 minutes, should be decent...

Special Challenge Match
Muhammad Hassan (w/Khosrow Daivari) vs. Tajiri

- Hassan comes out for an open challenge insulting America... Tajiri comes out saying he loves America even if he's not American and this sparks a quick match for the opener... Hassan wins in about 5-6 minutes...

Sunday Night HEAT

William Regal vs. Steven Richards

- Regal wins in about 5 minutes...

I've got a couple of Main Event predictions:

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP (RAW): Batista (champ since 1/9/5 @ N.Y.R. RAW only ppv) vs. Triple H: After a back and forth match, Flair comes out and hands Triple H a steel chair when the ref isn't looking and in frustration, Triple H hits Batista with the chair just as the ref can see it--the ref calls for the bells and Batista retains via D.Q.

WWE CHAMPIONSHIP (SMACKDOWN!):
JBL (champion) vs. Big Show in a hardcore match (anything goes & falls count anywhere): After both men have taken a helluva beating from each other, both are laying almost unconscious in the ring, and the ref is counting them out...both men get up at 9¾ and JBL prepares to attack Show with the clothesline from hell, but it's reversed. Big Show throws JBL out of the ring and onto the spanish announcers table and gives JBL the showstopper through it! Big Show crawls into the cover, and hooks JBL's leg for the 1-2-3.

Save Batista's title win for WrestleMania... Big Show-Angle-JBL is already confirmed... I wouldn't put the title on the Big Show since JBL has established himself to be a credible main event champion and has gotten over Taker, Eddie, Booker T, among others...

Word of advice: don't put spoilers in your post without warning. Some people here do not see Smackdown right away and prefer to not know anything going in.

So yeah. Use spoiler warnings.

I think Cena needs to win this match.

As Ive said before, the whole HHH-Batista-Orton thing doesn't need either guy to win the Rumble. Whereas Cena-JBL will need soemthing to kick start a program between them.

The RAW part of the card is a little harder to predict because we have to see what happens at NYR first. Ive got a feeling they may put the title on someone other than HHH, and then have HHH challenge for the title at the Rumble. If Orton wins the title at NYR, this would make sense, because then HHH could get his shot, Batista could get involved in the finish, and then HHH someone gets Batista eliminated from the Rumble as revenge. Thats sets up Mania for a 3 way. Orton would be the face, HHH the heel, and Batista would come in as a sort of lone wolf tweener.

Other matches from RAW will likely be some tag match with Regal and Eugene, and likely a Womens title match. I think at most we'll get one more match from the SD side, likely a CW title match.

:wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

Even though he's won against them, it hasn't been credible. Sure, heel champs are supposed to cheat, but they're also supposed to be credible before they get the belt, and JBL has still yet to pick up a CLEAN PINFALL against a midcarder or above.

He might have pinned Hardcore Holly... and that'd be about it. The closest he's come would be squashing Rey Mysterio, but that was when he was firmly in the CW division.

As much as I'd HATE to see another predictable Rumble, I have to agree with you CyNick. Cena should win the Rumble and get a shot against JBL at Mania. Have him hold the US Title for this time two, then have him do double duty at WrestleMania, or just challenge for the WWE Title. Either way have Cena forced to forfeit the title after winning the WWE Championship.

<font color=goldenrod>Well, I did a complete fantasy booking of the Rumble last year. And since I’m bored right about now, I’m gonna do another one.

<b>Heat</b>
Like every PPV, Heat will mainly just be promo videos hyping the PPV up until the Heat match. I really don’t know what the match should be. Eh, let’s make it a woman’s tag team match, just because there are no women or tag matches on the main card. The logical teams I guess would be Lita & Victoria against Trish & Molly, since they’re the only legit women wrestlers left anyways.

Then the PPV comes on the air. We’re welcomed by both broadcast teams, yadda yadda yadda.

<b>Opening Match – Royal Rumble Qualifier: Tajiri vs. Muhammad Hassan</b>

THE BUILD-UP: As Somebody’s Gotta Die suggested, this could be Hassan dissing America with Tajiri defending it despite not being from there. And to make it interesting the Rumble slot is put on the line.

THE MATCH: Back and forth action, with Hassan eventually getting the nod and the last slot. About 7 minutes or so.

THE AFTERMATH: Hassan gets another solid victory to add to his push (I’m assuming he’s going to mostly get wins), and gets to enter the Rumble. Tajiri likely goes back to jobbing. :(

<b>WWE Cruiserweight Title: Funaki (C) vs. Ultimo Dragon</b>

THE BUILD-UP: Funaki goes into the match without knowing who his opponent is going to be.

THE MATCH: Ultimo hopefully gets a good reception when it’s revealed that he’s the challenger. Anyways, it’s Funaki and Ultimo, so this match will likely rule. Hopefully at least a 10 minute match. Ultimo wins it and gets the belt, Funaki is a good sportsman afterwards.

THE AFTERMATH: Ultimo gets a solid lock on the belt, holding it until hopefully WrestleMania at least (where they might do another Cruiserweight Open thing). Ultimo could maybe be Funaki’s “mentor” of sorts. If that doesn’t happen, Funaki might go back to being a Velocity regular.

<b>Heidenreich vs. The Undertaker</b>

THE BUILD-UP: Well, this match has already been announced, so the build up is quite obvious. But in addition, I think in a backstage segment earlier on in the show, have Heidenreich and Gene Snitsky cross paths and make them interact in a weird manner (since they’re both supposed to be crazy). This is obvious foreshadowing.

THE MATCH: It’s Taker vs. Heidenreich, so chances are the match quality will suck. Heidenreich gets in some early offense before Taker starts to pummel him (which is really what the fans want to see). After about 10 minutes, Taker gets Heidenreich up for the Tombstone, but then out of nowhere Taker gets a Big Boot to the head by GENE SNITSKY. So Taker still doesn’t get the pinfall over Heidenreich, and gets stomped by Snitsky and Heidenreich afterwards whilst the announcers speculate why Snitsky and Heidenreich are helping each other, until the flames erupt and KANE comes out. Kane fights both of them until Taker regains himself and he and Kane clear the ring in a mark out moment, before they stare at each other, presumably shocked that they just helped each other to that degree.

THE AFTERMATH: As you could probably guess, this ultimately will lead to an interpromotional match at WrestleMania, as well as THE final blowoff match to both feuds. Heidenreich and Gene Snitsky vs. Kane and The Undertaker. Probably a horrible match in terms of quality, but the crowd would probably be hot the whole way through, and I’d LOVE to see the buildup that they do for that.

<b>WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Randy Orton vs. Triple H (C)</b>

THE BUILD-UP: At NYR, the final 3 in the Elimination Chamber are HHH, Orton, and Batista (what a shock!) HHH attempts to control Batista, ordering him to Batista Bomb Orton. Batista looks sick of doing what HHH tells him to, but at the same time, he wants to attack Orton. Orton takes advantage of Batista’s trying to make up his mind by RKO’ing him and eliminating Batista. Orotn and HHH fight and then somehow HHH ends up taking it. Orton is granted #1 Contendership since he was the last one eliminated, and that’s how this match is set.

THE MATCH: Probably just like the other Orton/HHH clash at Unforgiven, but with only Flair interjecting himself before getting thrown out of the ring area. HHH finds some other way to cheat, and he ends up retaining. About 15-20 minutes.

THE AFTERMATH: HHH goes into WM as the defending champion. As for Orton, he’ll still be a perennial title contender, but not until after WrestleMania. Until such time, he can feud with someone else (no clue on who though, maybe a feud with Christian will add something different).

<b>WWE Championship: Kurt Angle vs. The Big Show vs. John Bradshaw Layfield (C)</b>

THE BUILD-UP: Well, this one was already confirmed on the last Smackdown. The build-up will probably just be as it was on Smackdown. Big Show and Angle are dead set on getting the belt off of JBL, who can’t defend it honestly against worthy competition to save his life.

THE MATCH: JBL gets his ass kicked from the get-go, but eventually he and Angle join forces to try and neutralize the massive Big Show. After about 20 minutes of action, Angle eventually locks up the victory via Angle Slam and then Angle Lock on JBL, which turns Angle from being a tweener to a full-fledged face.

THE AFTERMATH: Angle holds the belt until WrestleMania at least. I honestly don’t know if I’d have him drop it there or hold it longer. It really depends on who fights him. Big Show remains a top contender, possibly to continue feuding with JBL. JBL could use his “rematch clause” to get another crack at the gold at No Way Out, but Angle will still retain through that.

Royal Rumble Match coming in the next post...</font>

<font color=goldenrod>And now, here’s the big one:

<b>The 2005 Royal Rumble Match</b>

RAW BUILD-UP: Batista turns full-fledge face on the Raw after NYR by entering himself in against HHH’s will. To make matters worse, the rest of the Elimination Chamber participants follow Batista’s lead, so Chris Jericho, Edge, Chris Benoit, and the referee for the match, Shawn Michaels, all are in. Eric Bischoff rewards his other male champions by entering Shelton Benjamin, Eugene, and William Regal in. Maven, Christian, Kane, and Gene Snitsky all get in due to them being big names on Raw. Up-and-comer Simon Dean finds his way into the mix. The Coach attempts to kiss Bischoff’s ass to get a slot, but nothing comes of it, as he loses his chance in a qualifying match against Rhyno. And, of course, Muhammad Hassan won his qualifying match earlier to get in.

SMACKDOWN BUILD-UP: Well, the only 100% confirmed guy right now is Daniel Puder, so he’s obviously in. Theodore Long gives his champions a similar reward, so Rob Van Dam, Rey Mysterio, John Cena, and Funaki all get in. However, Funaki takes a look at the other people that are getting put in and opts to just defend his belt in a separate match, so Funaki is out. Eddie Guerrero and Booker T get in, because it’s Eddie Guerrero and Booker T. Angle’s henchmen (Luther Reigns and Mark Jindrak) win a qualifying match against JBL’s Cabinet members The Basham Brothers to get in. Orlando Jordan gets in at the extreme urging of JBL. Hardcore Holly gets in because the WWE still love him for some reason. Spike Dudley gets in by mentioning that he got gypped and never got to officially enter the match in 2004. Chavo Guerrero, Charlie Haas, Rene Dupree, and Kenzo Suzuki all eventually get put in to fill in the remaining slots.

Looking over the participants list, this is probably the most star-studded Rumble in years.

THE MATCH: One half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Rob Van Dam, gets the #1 draw. Then, as luck would have it, one of the World Tag Team Champions, Eugene, gets #2. The opening segment is interesting to say the least, with both men playing to the crowd and to each other the whole time. Muhammad Hassan gets #3, and he comes out looking very much pissed off about his draw. He gets in the ring, where Van Dam and Eugene are still taunting. A look of complete disgust comes across Hassan’s face, and it’s apparent that he believes the people in the ring with him are disgraces. He goes after one of them, but soon thereafter he finds himself being double-teamed and on the brink of elimination. He fights it off as the interval comes to a close, and Maven comes out at #4. Maven helps out Hassan by going after Eugene, and the majority of the interval is spent wrestling in pairs. Hardcore Holly gets #5, and he gets his shots in wherever possible. Daniel Puder draws #6, and almost instantly Holly goes after him hard. But it’s to no avail, as Puder shows Holly who’s boss, totally dominating him and then recording the first elimination of the match, which gets a massive pop. Eugene’s partner, William Regal comes in at #7, followed by Kenzo Suzuki at #8. Mainly just going through the motions here.

Currently in the ring: RVD, Eugene, Hassan, Maven, Puder, Regal, and Kenzo

Simon Dean comes out at #9, poking fun at random obese people in the audience to get decent heat, which coincidentally burns up the whole interval. Maven is tricked into elimination by Eugene again in this interval, and Maven pulls a Christian on the outside afterwards. Gene Snitsky comes out at #10 and he puts forth an impressive first two minutes, eliminating the rookie Puder as well as Regal/Eugene with one double clothesline. Mark Jindrak gets #11. Snitsky claims another victim by eliminating Kenzo Suzuki. Charlie Haas is #12. Batista gets #13, and within seconds JR is questioning as to whether that’ll be his lucky number or not. However, this is answered quickly when Batista delivers a huge Batista Bomb on Hassan and eliminates him, much to the crowd’s delight.

Currently in the ring: RVD, Simon, Snitsky, Jindrak, Haas, and Batista

Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin gets #14, and he helps former partner Charlie Haas work over Jindrak. Snitsky, meanwhile, pummels the shit out of RVD the entire interval and eliminates him right around countdown time. JR mentions that it’s his 5th elimination, and he asks if anyone can stop him.

Almost on cue, the buzzer sounds and the flames erupt, meaning Kane is #15. Snitsky stares Kane down from the center of the ring while everyone else fights amongst themselves around him. Kane gets in and bypasses everyone else in the ring and goes right into a staredown with Snitsky, which gets the crowd pumped. All of a sudden, Heidenreich sneaks into the ring and jumps Kane from behind, returning the favor. Kane begins to get really pummeled, until the lights go out and the gongs sound, causing a major mark-out. The lights stay out for a good 45 seconds, and when they come back on, Snitsky, Kane, and Heidenreich all are nowhere to be seen. The remaining wrestlers in the ring (Simon, Jindrak, Haas, Benjamin, and Batista) look around the ring surprised, until Chavo Guerrero comes out at #16 and things get back to normal. Everybody pairs off in face/heel combos. Luther Reigns draws #17. He and Jindrak bully Chavo for a bit, with Reigns eventually lifting Chavo up and Jindrak hitting a high angle dropkick. Chavo then gets casually tossed. Chris Benoit gets #18, to a great reaction. The announcers dub him as a huge favorite, since he lasted all the way last year and this year he has a much better draw. He gets into a bit of a technical battle with Haas which carries over into the next interval, in which WWE Tag Team Champion Rey Mysterio gets #19 and he enters by delivering a nice splash to Jindrak and Reigns. The Benoit/Haas battle ultimately ends with Haas going out.

Currently in the ring: Batista, Benoit, Benjamin, Simon, Jindrak, Reigns, and Rey

Booker T gets #20 to a great ovation. Shawn Michaels gets #21 to an even better ovation. Chris Jericho gets #22 (keeping the fans happy yet again) and the announcers mention that Kane and Snitsky have been gone for well over 15 minutes now and that they can probably be written off of the match at this point. Most of the faces work together to eliminate the Jindrak and Reigns duo, which leaves Simon Dean as the only heel in the ring. Dean manages to piss off all of the faces, and when the countdown begins, Dean is right smack in the middle of the ring surrounded by faces. Dean looks around in a panic as Rhyno comes down at #23. Right when Rhyno gets in, Dean turns around to try and run off, but gets a Gore for his efforts and is then eliminated, just 1 entry shy of being in the match for 30 minutes. The faces fight amongst themselves, since they are the only ones left. United States Champion John Cena is #24, to add to the faces in the ring. We see and interesting battle between him and the IC Champion, Shelton Benjamin. The confrontation is put to a halt, however, when Orlando Jordan gets #25 and jumps both guys from behind, getting a shock elimination on Shelton in the process.

Currently in the ring: Jericho, Booker, HBK, Batista, Benoit, Rey, Rhyno, Orlando, and Cena

The crowd erupt for no real reason, and the camera pans to see what's going on, and we see Kane and Gene Snitsky brawling through the crowd. Rene Dupree gets #26, but the cameras continue to focus on the Kane/Snitsky brawl, and soon after Dupree gets in the ring, Kane and Snitsky do as well, but soon thereafter Heidenreich also comes in through the crowd, and this is where hell breaks loose. Heidenreich starts destroying Kane, but this time, rather than stand back, the wrestlers in the ring all try to interject themselves in the Kane/Snitsky/Heidenreich frakas, and it basically resembles the opening minutes of a battle royal. Rhyno, Booker, and Rey all get eliminated as a result of this mess, and once again, the lights go out and the gongs sound. When they come back on, everybody is down except for Heidenreich and UNDERTAKER. They start their own little fight, which soon ends up with them out of the match as they should be.

Edge gets #27, and he vents his frustrations by getting shots in on all of the faces in the ring. Spike Dudley gets a great draw at #28, but he completely wastes it by going right after Kane (obviously still pissed about last year's Rumble), and he goes out in that many seconds, winning the 2005 Bushwhacker Luke Award. Eddie Guerrero drives down to the ring in a nice lowrider at #29 to a tremendous ovation, and in his time in the ring he gets red hot by ridding us of Orlando Jordan and Rene Dupree. Christian becomes the luckiest man in Fresno by rounding out the field at #30, and he walks down to the ring in a cocky manner (eyeing Eddie's lowrider as he passes).

Final Suspects: Batista, Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Christian, Eddie Guerrero, Edge, Gene Snitsky, John Cena, Kane, and Shawn Michaels

Wow, nobody in there is even short of awesome.

Everybody fights for a good while, with none of the final 10 going out for a good five minutes. However, at that point, a whole flurry of eliminations occurs. Firstly, Kane finally manages to rid the match of Gene Snitsky. Snitsky walks backwards back up the ramp, with Kane still staring him down. This costs him, as Christian slyly gets behind Kane and makes a semi-surprise elimination. Snitsky laughs…but then runs away when Kane goes after him backstage. Christian meanwhile, is jumping around as if he won the match. This is a bad move on his part, as Jericho manages to get a few shots in, stunning Christian, and then he eliminates him for the 3rd consecutive year.

We see some more action before more eliminations occur. Edge (the only heel remaining in the match), does quite well for himself, eliminating Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero whilst the two of them were battling on one of the turnbuckles. Announcers mention that Edge just eliminated the two guys that walked out of WM as champion, and they talk about how epic that is, etc. Edge turns around, and Michaels thrusts forward for a Sweet Chin Music, but Edge ducks just at the last second and back body drops Michaels out, getting another key elimination (and I think that they’ll be feuding by this point so the elimination will be that much more key).

THE FINAL FOUR: Batista, John Cena, Chris Jericho, and Edge.

We see some more fighting before Edge picks up yet ANOTHER elimination by taking out Chris Jericho. The announcers mention that Edge has now eliminated four consecutive opponents. Unfortunately for him, he doesn’t make it to five, as Batista puts a halt to the momentum to eliminate Edge.

And with the final two at Batista and John Cena, I draw a blank. I personally think that both guys will challenge and win their respective brands’ title at WrestleMania, so it really can go either way. However, since I don’t think Triple H would be willing to drop the belt in the last match again, I’m thinking Cena would be the more likely candidate to win. After a good battle between him and Batista, Cena makes his only elimination in the match a big one by dumping out Batista and getting the victory.

END OF SHOW

Phew, what strange things boredom can lead to. I’d better get some comments on this.</font>

That is one of the best plans for the Rumble I have seen. If that really happened I will be so hyped about WrestleMania and No Way Out.

The only difference I would make is that I'd probbably have Batista win. The Rumble is a great place to make stars, and Batista doing what he did in that Rumble would make him into a top contender.

Make it a double pinfall match. First is for the US Title. Second one is for the WWE Title. And have them switch.

Then the credibility balance will be restored after a full year of being off kilter.

Orton seems like a good pick for NYR. Orton goes over HHH at the RR cause of Batista's interference. Also HHH gets revenge costing Batista the Rumble Match. Which is eventually won by Cena.

HHH should wrestle Batista at Wrestlemania in a 1-1 Match

That sounds good, but one objection I have is that it would be obvious the outcome, especially as soon as JBL pinned Cena. I could see the loser getting the US Title as a consolation prize, but as for the double pinfall, while it would be good, might be too predictable for WrestleMania, IMO.

You know, I think you'll hit this right on the money. There's a live show that will be taking place here in Honolulu in February and one of the matches announced was a tag match with Undertaker/Kane teaming up. My guess is that their opponents will be Snitsky and Heidenreich.
