I have a few questions about him:
I've heard in the past that the original Ultimate Warrior (Jim Hellwig) died in a car accident in the early 90's, is this true?
If not, is the Warrior from WCW the same guy (Hellwig) as the Ultimate Warrior of the WWF?

It's always been the same warrior
warrior is not dead, warrior sells his clothing on eBay, do not underestimate the warrior, for he cannot be killed

Same guy, people just think hes different because hes had different hair colours and lengths which made him look pretty different for some reason.

God you guys are complete morons. There were three Ultimate warriors.
The first was Jim Hellwig. And no, he did not die in a car crash you delapidated frenchie. He had a stroke and died in the middle of a match with Max Moon.
The second was Mick Foley. He would then gain a ton of weight, and become mankind.
What about cactus jack you say? Mick Foley's twin brother and the third ultimate warrior as seen in WCW.
The rest of you should stick to the casual forums, because you know nothing about wrestling.

Figs is right... but he's forgetting the original version.
"Dingo" warrior who wrestled in WCCW was played by the Junk Yard Dog.
Also, Mic and his twin brother actually played both the WWE and WCW versions, being the only wrestlers allowed to wrestler for both promotions at the same time, but the agreement was either one could show up and play the charecter, but only got 1 pay check from each promotion for the "role" of the warrior.
The most famous warrior problem was battle of the BullShit 1994 where neither foley show'd and Ric Flair had to play the role of the "The warrior" while in a tag match against himself... where he constantly dropped under the ring to put on and take off makeup.
This also explains why when you purchase "Warrior clothing" on ebay, you get different sizes from the same year/time because of the different people playing the role.

being the only wrestlers allowed to wrestler for both promotions at the same time
Ravishing Rick Rude was in both at one point (DX/NWO)..
:-\
He didn't wrestle both did appear on RAW and Nitro on the same night.. He was also in ECDUB (with Triple Threat) at that time too.. I could be wrong though.. There's a first time for everything..
